About The Green Man
The Green Man offers a full menu of great British pub food by our incredible kitchen team as well as bar snacks & delicious desserts designed by Great British Bake Off Winner Candice Brown
Here at The Green Man we are proud of our fresh, seasonal and local produce.
Set in the Bedfordshire countryside, a community pub that has been around for nearly 200 years has been loving restored into a beautiful modern pub that respects the history of the building.
Like most pubs The Green Man has a colourful past. It may have started its life as a way for a charity to build a local library and support the church, but it also played host to sheep rustlers and a petticoat thief.
We are looking forward to the next chapter in this pubs fantastic history and are excited for you to be a part of it!
Service excellent as always. Food was superb - can't really ask for a lot more. Felt safe in the current environment, and staff were happy to help/advise as necessary. Will def be back soon!
Cheese board was disappointing as there was very few biscuits and only two cheeses. But overall overpriced.
We have been coming to the Green Man regularly since moving to Bedfordshire a few months ago and it never disappoints. The service is absolutely great, Catherine is particularly friendly and welcoming. Lovely interior, great food and drink and brilliant service. We would definitely recommend.
The perfect place for a Sunday roast in beautiful (safe) and relaxed surroundings . The food is always delicious, and the staff are friendly , attentive and lovely. We’ll be returning as soon as possible .
Very friendly and welcoming. We had 4 dogs between us in the snug area. Lovely waitress. We felt like nothing was too much trouble for her. Fab service! Food was hot when it arrived and generous portions. Very nice. Will definitely go again!
Great food in a lovely relaxed environment, will be returning soon
Glad we were able to visit. Very dog friendly as well!
Nice food. Very friendly and attentive staff.
Really great Sunday roast - loads of great quality food and a Yorkshire pud the size of my head!! Puddings were a little disappointing - especially based on who the owner is! But lovely pub and staff and good music!
Absolutely stunning little pub, in a beautiful village. Not a bit of food left on our plates. They even catered for our little one - who loved every bit of his food. Would absolutely recommend. Thank you Green Man X
A delicious Sunday dinner at the Green Man. Always made to feel so welcome, lovely atmosphere and the food is delicious every time. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Had a lovely Sunday lunch , food was delicious, service was exceptional and felt really safe with the safety mesures in place . Will definitely be returning soon .
Lovely experience, great food and service. Will definitely be back! Thank you.
A fantastic experience, the food was awesome. The decor and vibe was great with really good service. A great touch was appreciated with a discount for our anniversary. We look forward to coming back!
Excellent relaxing environment with excellent food and feels really safe
Mentioned whilst there but would have liked to see dishes other than pie burger and fish/chips:
I had to change the time of my booking on the day which was handled with absolutely no problem. The food is all freshly prepared and not bought in, which you can tell when eating. Very relaxed atmosphere made fir a very enjoyable lunch
Great Sunday lunch. Both service and atmosphere welcoming.
Cute cosy pub, nice food and well looked after
We thought it was all rather ordinary. Not bad but not special. Three out of four of us wanted the Hock Hash but only one was available - disappointing. The remaining items were things like a pie and burgers. The desserts were also ordinary - surprising given the Bake Off link.
We were at a table for 2 in the snug. One of the chairs was very low and uncomfortable and we missed the restaurant vibe, felt quite isolated. However, great evening and fabulous food as always.
Lovely food, friendly service. Unfortunately we weren't given the option to add a tip when paying by card
We could only book early 6pm table, just us eating other tables were drinkers so felt a little awkward. Nice place and food and service good. Will try a Sunday lunch which may be busier
As usual, excellent food and service!
It was a Thursday eve, we sat by the window & radiator.... not very warm so kept jackets on. Took ages for drinks (1 bottle Prosecco) to arrive.. barmaid talking to member of staff whilst doing it. Food too expensive for ‘local’ ‘pub’ food & ok but nothing special, especially if just ‘popping’ out for something local to eat.. no atmosphere at all in pub. Understand that things are different now but need to think about locals & outside clientele... we are fairly local & have heard alot about this pub but.... would not re-visit
