Did not feel we got the best value for the money had to pay extra for the sides .We had the lamb and shrimp portions smaller then expected .The lamb was bit tough and fatty.
We really enjoyed dinner on the patio - a lovely spot!
The service and food was fantastic. This was a birthday lunch so we brought our own cake and they even had candles and sang happy birthday!. The fish taco's were amazing, One of my bff's had the ravoli which she said was the best she had ever tasted. My other bff had fish/chips and said it was very fresh and the fish was nice and flaky. The atmosphere was just perfect for our birthday celebration too. Thank you for making this an amazing lunch Glen Erin Inn..this was a 5/5 star lunch all the way!
We have been here many times before & have always enjoyed the food. This time we had dinner & we were not impressed ! The next morning we had breakfast & again we were not impressed ..... Average at best !
The service and staff were amazing. It was our 12th year anniversary and they all helped to make it special. We got married there 12 years ago and it was great to be back.
Excellent service. Our server, Holly, was very attentive, and the gentlemen running the hot table, and waffle station were amazing. Food was delicious and all members of my party really enjoyed the brunch. I look forward to visiting again.
THrusday BBQ is lovely on a warm evening
We throughly enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the hotel for two days. The food and the service were great. Our server, David, was very attentive, very accommodating. He is a great asset to your establishment. You have a wonderful facility. Keep up the good work.
Servers were both excellent- David was our evening waiter. The food was good but not excellent. Our room was cozy and clean and bed was very comfy.
My friends and I very much enjoyed our dining experience for dinner. A great evening it was to enjoy our meal outside. David our waiter was very helpful for explaining our options on the menu with his great hospitality. He even hooked us up with jugs of water afterwards when we got a little thirsty haha! :)
I expected more chef - style items on the menu, as opposed to burgers, wraps, fish and chips. Paying for bread is very tacky....I've never seen it at any dining establishment, especially one of higher class such as the Glenerin Inn. It's a beautiful patio...it would be nice to have some quiet background music playing.
The waffle, whipped cream and strawberries are good. Everything else is less than mediocre. Low quality seafood was not kept on ice. The soups are tasteless. Worse than soups from a cafeteria. Will not go back unless a new chef is hired.
The Glenerin patio is a beautiful, peaceful setting, and the music by the Ed Stephenson band was a perfect complement to the evening. We will watch for Ed's future dates and be back to enjoy more! The BBQ menu and very attentive service were also wonderful.
Food, drink, service, atmosphere.... amazing! You get what you pay for! Portions of food is great! It’s not like most places where you pay an arm and a leg for a meal but there’s barely anything on the plate. I’d definitely recommend Glen Erin Inn for any occasion and to anybody looking for a nice place to have dinner or lunch with family or their spouse :)
The waiter was super
The waiter couldn’t remember who ordered what. Also filled our glasses of water as we finished paying the bill and where getting ready to leave. Prices were expensive, didn’t know it was al a cart. I wanted the lamp kabob but I’m allergic to peppers and they weren’t able to accommodate me so had a hamburger which I could of had at any restaurant. Loved the music and atmosphere but very disappointed in the food.
Excellent service- we were group of 9 for lunch.. Loved private room Food was below average
We enjoyed our annual lunch again this year. Lovely setting and good food.
Fruit flies everywhere. No butter served with complimentary bread. Very ordinary food . The dessert was inedible. Apple crisp cold , And unappetizing. Chocolate cake was stale and rock solid instead of creamy and light. All in all a very disappointing Father’s Day dinner.
I was actually disappointed by my first dining experience with you. I wanted to treat my husband to an exceptional dining experience for Father's day but was disappointed by some of the food items as this was our first time there for a meal. Both the ribs and the roast beef were dry. I found the ham to be on the salty side also. However I enjoyed the other items on the brunch. I had planned on treating my son and his family to the brunch experience but think i will pass on that.
Thursday night patio is great. Staff could be better organized. Staff were confused by wine list and what was available. Staff very friendly and tried hard. Just inexperienced. Salad bar was very nice, but at $14.00, not really an alternative if ordering a main course. Suggest a reduced fee if customer also orders a main course off the patio menu. Entertainment was very good.
Excellent service and food. We will come again for a special occasion.
Went here for sunday brunch, while the food is good there could be a few more options on buffet table such as different style of eggs ( eggs Benedict), smoked salmon, smoked ham. Also buffet area crowded need a more open space. Service is great, we will probably return.
