It was very cold when we arrived. The window was open where our table was, and it was only about 12 degrees outside. The service was good, and the setting beautiful, but the atmosphere was lacking. There was no quiet music, so we had to play our own. Overall an ok value for what we paid.
Attended Thanksgiving Dinner at The Glenerin Inn & Spa and this was our first visit. Was very impressed with the attentive customer service, atmosphere and quality of food. The whole experience was enriching. Staff are very well trained and on point. Will likely visit again at Christmas and other holidays.
The appetizer and salad were delicious but the entree was not up to the standard that we expected. The turkey was okay but the vegetables of carrots and parsnips were over-cooked and dry and 3 or 4 tiny little round potatoes were dry and tasteless. With gravy offered, we expected mashed potatoes. For the cost, this was not up to the standard that it should be so we were not pleased.
The staff was very polite, but seemed too busy to look after those of us i the small dining room, as they were also looking after a wedding party in an adjacent room. I was very disappointed in the quality of the food. I took my mother to enjoy a nice Thanksgiving dinner. We both chose the prime rib entree. They both arrived as requested , my mother's well done, and mine medium rare. However, both prime ribs were as tough as shoe leather. When we told the waitress, she said, "Oh, I'm very sorry. I'll tell the chef." That was it. Nothing more. My mother ordered a decaf coffee after dinner. We waited 15 minutes, and asked about it's arrival twice. It never showed up, so we paid the bill, which arrived with a 17% tip already included, and left. I have been to The Glenerin Inn twice before, for Christmas Day Buffet Brunches, that were quite nice. This experience however, was a huge disappointment due to the poor quality of the food, and that fact that staff seemed unwilling to do anything about it.
It was beautiful
2nd visit and it was a different group and they thoroughly everything about it
had a very nice dinner, food was very good, service was excellent, will go again.
Hello, While our server (unfortunately, I've forgotten her name, I believe she's Serbian) was absolutely lovely, we felt let down by the male manager who when told we were visiting 23 years after being married at Glenerin Inn, simply shrugged, stated he hadn't been there that long and that was it. I should mention we live in France and haven't had many chances to revisit in all these years. I don't know what I might have expected, but perhaps a small gesture could have gone a long way. Obviously we held cherished memories of our day there in 1995. Customer appreciation from management was definitely lacking. Sincerely, Jacqueline Herbelin
First time experience! Pleasantly surprised with great atmosphere, quality of food, presentation and service
Hidden gem! Great service
Svetlana, our server was wonderful. Very kind and went above. She was very accommodating to our party. Thank you!!! The room that we ate in was lovely and very private. The food delicious. We had a ladies lunch and the Glen Erin Inn was perfect for the occasion. Beautiful place and setting.
The waitstaff was exceptional
great service and beautiful setting. quality of food should reflect the price.
Lovely experience, met or exceeded our expectations
Great food and service and the atmosphere is just so cozy and family oriented. We have no problems at all! We will definitely be looking into booking again for brunch and dinner!
Thoroughly enjoyed Sunday brunch - there were several functions there - we thought it was going to be very good otherwise people would not go there. Great ambience, good food, love the staff, will be back.
We arrived late unfortunately but the waiters were very understanding and kind about it. We tried to eat quickly to be able to leave by 2 p.m. but were a few minutes after that. They all told us to take our time , even though we knew they were anxious to put the buffet away. It was a lovely experience. Everyone was smiling and accommodating. My father knew the original owners of the house so it was wonderful to see that it is being used so purposely and being manitained so well.
Did not feel we got the best value for the money had to pay extra for the sides .We had the lamb and shrimp portions smaller then expected .The lamb was bit tough and fatty.
We really enjoyed dinner on the patio - a lovely spot!
The service and food was fantastic. This was a birthday lunch so we brought our own cake and they even had candles and sang happy birthday!. The fish taco's were amazing, One of my bff's had the ravoli which she said was the best she had ever tasted. My other bff had fish/chips and said it was very fresh and the fish was nice and flaky. The atmosphere was just perfect for our birthday celebration too. Thank you for making this an amazing lunch Glen Erin Inn..this was a 5/5 star lunch all the way!
We have been here many times before & have always enjoyed the food. This time we had dinner & we were not impressed ! The next morning we had breakfast & again we were not impressed ..... Average at best !
The service and staff were amazing. It was our 12th year anniversary and they all helped to make it special. We got married there 12 years ago and it was great to be back.
Excellent service. Our server, Holly, was very attentive, and the gentlemen running the hot table, and waffle station were amazing. Food was delicious and all members of my party really enjoyed the brunch. I look forward to visiting again.
THrusday BBQ is lovely on a warm evening
