Our server David was excellent - warm and welcoming, efficient, attentive and professional- we enjoyed our lunch because the food was great but David was the best reason!
I saw an improvement in the presentation of the salad bar and appreciated the new salads e.g. macaroni, chick pea and marinated veg.
The atmosphere is peaceful, intimate and with a beautiful view! The food and tea were excellent with a very nice selection of specialty teas.
Svetlana was wonderful... attentive but not intrusive. She exemplified what a server should be. The wine list left a lot to be desired. The buffet was ecellent
The food was excellent and David provided us with great service!
Afternoon Tea is a very pleasant way to spend the afternoon.
Enjoyed a delightful Sunday night roast beef dinner, wonderful before dinner drinks on the patio, then after dinner coffee and wine back on the patio watching the fire flies - we will be back - in fact I was at the Glen Erin last week 3 times - 2 lunches and 1 dinner - the most wonderful spot to dine especially in the summer on the patio. Big Thanks
We love visiting the Glenerin Inn for brunch or dinner. Still need to try lunch!
Excellent all around. We will definitely be returning and would recommend The Glenerin Inn.
The patio is lovely, the Thursday BBQ was better last year. My friends and I very much enjoyed sitting back and relaxing
Everyone was soooo lovely...Luce, Alysia, David & Norman. Thank you for a much needed break in such a beautiful historical building, Dinner on Thursday (live music) was exceptional as was breakfast on the patio this morning. Keep up the outstanding service. We hope to return some day soon.
We have been to this elegant historical place many times, was always dinner. We love the location so much so we brought another 5 friends to the Inn for our monthly lunch gathering. What a disaster! the food was embarrassing. The menu is short as always and it usually covers all bases, so we don't mind the short menu, it is the food quality poor and presentation bad. My husband can only order vegetarian so he ordered the BirdNest. The description on the menu was good, but when it came, there was no birdnest! No color, no flavour !!!!! my burger trio was passable the most, the fried chicken in there seemed to be fired many times so it was hard to chew and stale. The waffle in the meal has to be cooked so long ago, it is soggy and blend. This group of friends take turns to decide which restaurant to go to, now we two are totally embarrassed! What a pity, since the location is so elegant and nice!!! I think we two will try one of those Sunday brunch again, but we will never tell others to go there enjoy a meal, as it is not enjoyable !!!!!
We had a wonderful meal and romantic time. It was lovely to remember our Wedding reception here 25 years ago. Our server was very attentive and accommodating, the food was exceptional.
We really enjoyed our dinner and level if service received.
Has a great time. The entertainment was perfect for the patio venue.
We really enjoyed the venue as well as food and great Afternoon Tea experience. We loved the attentiveness of David - our server! He was very happy...and loved what he does! Ann, Myra and Christine.
Lisa is a very helpful manager. Great service. Thanks
Very enjoyable lunch. Took my 90 year old mother there on Saturday and it was a lovely experience! We will be back.
Our server was great and the atmosphere was very charming.
What a wonderful summer oasis = who knew? Great service, terrific lamb dinner, wonderful smooth guitar music from Ed Stephenson, steamy summer night = terrific experience!
Service was very good and attentive. Food was excellent. The only problem....the patio had a lot of ants...making it a little uncomfortable. I know that may be beyond control but I thought I needed to mention it.
Our King sized “suite” was one of the smallest rooms I-have ever been in. The furniture was crammed into such a small space the couch is 2 ft from a 50” screen which , in spite of being a relatively new TV, the tv signal was in standard definition. Its kind of indicative of the hotel as a whole. It seems to be pretending to be something that it’s not. The hallways have old carpet and there a damp smell. The “restaurant” was a small room with 5 tables and abysmal service. The food was mediocre at best. The veal chop was ordered by both my wife and I, was fatty and over cooked. My wife was sick most of the night from dinner. When we checked out, we mentioned it to the front desk girl. Did she care ? No. She asked us if we had any of the wine or bottled water in the room. We had to tell her there was no bottled water in the rolm at all i am hskf expecting to be billed for the water bottles. Recently engaged, we were taking this opportunity to see if the Glen Erin Inn would be a suitable venue for our wedding. As beautiful as this place could be, it’s simply not worth the exorbitant price they charge as a wedding venue. I would be embarrassed to have family stay here if we were yo have our wedding here. We won’t be returning, there are many wonderful other hotels that will be on our list.
We thought there could have been more food choices, maybe croissants, pastries. Maybe a crepe station. Mimosas included, maybe. We thought the price for brunch was at the very high end. We would probably only recommend for a very special occasion.
Way too expensive. We regret not checking the price first$60 a person approx when you include tax and mandatory gratuity. Not a bad brunch but ridiculous cost, especially for folks like us who were put in the back room without any decorations at all (not even some flowers or something?). 17% gratuity for a buffet?? - We will likely never go again.
The food was AMAZING Jason service was ON POINT All other employees that I encountered were very FRIENDLY and ACCOMMODATING. The atmosphere BRIGHT AND CHEERY in the room where we were seated. The price point was EXTREMELY FAIR! GREAT VALUE!!!!
