About The Gibson Hotel
An eatery in the true sense of the word, menus are designed so that customers can take things at their own pace.
Coda is the Italian word for ‘tail’. It’s also the term for the closing section of a musical composition, not to mention the ninth, and final, studio album by rock giants, Led Zeppelin. It also serves pretty legendary food too!
Coda combines stylish yet informal dining with simple, good food. Our dishes offer locally sourced ingredients with daring flavours and exquisite presentation. An eatery in the true sense of the word, menus are designed so that customers can take things at their own pace. Our guests can tap into a superb gourmet dining experience before heading out to party or linger a little longer on the outdoor heated terrace. This makes it perfect for an intimate gathering, a catch-up with friends before a concert or a bite of supper after a business meeting.
Our unique Wine Wall is the ultimate in wine theatre. Choose from towering racks housing the best Old World and Neworld wines, with our knowledgeable staff on hand to guide you through the terroir.
Please note our a la carte menu will not be available on concert nights.
Fantastic for gigs couldn’t get closer to venue
Great Atmosphere great staff especially Claire she was wonderful
Great service from the staff in Coda. With drinks and tips we spent 150 euros on dinner for two before the Dave Chapelle show at the 3Arena so it was very disappointing to be refused admission to the hotel after the show. Your loss as we discovered Ruby's where we spent another 60 euros on drinks and where will eat next time we go to the 3Arena,
Went to the Gibson for pre show dinner last weekend. I had been once before a few years ago and really enjoyed the food, drink and accommodation. However, this time I was very disappointed. The food was average at best but the service was the real letdown. My reservation couldn’t be found and it was assumed I didn’t book when my name was just at the end of a list and the server couldn’t see it. It took a long time to have orders taken and then our starter plates were taken when my friend was still eating! We ordered wine and it didn’t come, it finally arrived before the mains did. We ordered a second bottle and had the same issue! We tried to order desserts but by the time our wait was came back we had to go as the show was starting a short time after. We got the bill and had Ben charged for four bottles of wine after all the issues we had! I would usually raise these issues with the staff but we were running so late I just didn’t have time.
Really nice place for food before going to a concert. Would definitel recommend it
Good atmosphere and location. Food came fast. Forgot dessert and impossible to get th bill.
Service was very good Desserts really let the whole meal down
Our waitress was pleasant but the vegetarian main course (pumpkin gnocchi) was bland and the white wine was served too warm.
Had a pre theater meal - 2 course - was delicious but portions of main quite small - service good - would recommend
Breakfast was cold.. rooms look like they came out of an Ikea catalogue.
Staff were excellent - food very average
Slightly bigger menu would be good.
Katie gave us excellent service. We were very surprised to read some very poor reviews on Tripadvisor
Service was fast, friendly and efficient. Food was beautifully presented and very tasty all round.
Having eaten here several times before I was very disappointed in the service we received. We had to continuously go looking for waiters/waitresses for drink & food order, one of our party had to wait 15 mins before her drink arrived. When our starters were being served the waitress didn’t even know the dishes she was serving and gave us the wrong ones which handing me the plate, rather than placing it down in front of me. (Ample space around the table to serve correctly). The food was really good but the service let this visit down a lot.
I absolutely loved every minute of my stay with you
Really lovely food, very tasty, the friendly waitress said there was no problem changing the way the potatoes were cooked for me if I wanted so i could enjoy my meal even more. Deserts are to die for !
Top quality service
The two tables beside us were not cleared looked a bit messy
Beautiful hotel excellent location especially if attending a concert in arena 3
Id recommend the Gibson Hotel/restaurant to everyone. The service was fantastic, no waiting long for food or drinks. The staff were so friendly and nice and listened to their customers and talked to everyone there. They even wished myself and my wife a happy anniversary as I said I was there for our 5th wedding anniversary. Everything was 5 stars. I would highly recommend this fantastic restaurant, a Big thank you to the restaurant manager and staff for making our wedding anniversary the best yet. We cannot wait to go back again.
Staff are lovely and service was excellent. The food was beautiful too.
Good food and service.
Absolute shocking from the #codaeatery tonight. Booked 5 days in advance for dinner. Got there, waitress took our order only for the manager to come out, 10 minutes later to tell us that the restaurant was actually CLOSED tonight because there was a private function on earlier. I showed him my confirmation email and he proceeded to tell me that they do not have internet. It’s 2018!!! Showed the guy in a suit my confirmation email again and he didn’t seem too concerned. Offered us the bar menu (no thanks). Got up with my wife to tell them we are going and the guy in the suit just said “ok no problem” It was our first night out in 2 years and it just set a bad tone for the rest of the night, not to mention the expense of taxis getting to and from there for nothing! It’s also very pricey and not much of a menu to choose from. I will not be rushing back there in a hurry
