About The Gibson Hotel
An eatery in the true sense of the word, menus are designed so that customers can take things at their own pace.
Coda is the Italian word for ‘tail’. It’s also the term for the closing section of a musical composition, not to mention the ninth, and final, studio album by rock giants, Led Zeppelin. It also serves pretty legendary food too!
Coda combines stylish yet informal dining with simple, good food. Our dishes offer locally sourced ingredients with daring flavours and exquisite presentation. An eatery in the true sense of the word, menus are designed so that customers can take things at their own pace. Our guests can tap into a superb gourmet dining experience before heading out to party or linger a little longer on the outdoor heated terrace. This makes it perfect for an intimate gathering, a catch-up with friends before a concert or a bite of supper after a business meeting.
Our unique Wine Wall is the ultimate in wine theatre. Choose from towering racks housing the best Old World and Neworld wines, with our knowledgeable staff on hand to guide you through the terroir.
Please note our a la carte menu will not be available on concert nights.
Id recommend the Gibson Hotel/restaurant to everyone. The service was fantastic, no waiting long for food or drinks. The staff were so friendly and nice and listened to their customers and talked to everyone there. They even wished myself and my wife a happy anniversary as I said I was there for our 5th wedding anniversary. Everything was 5 stars. I would highly recommend this fantastic restaurant, a Big thank you to the restaurant manager and staff for making our wedding anniversary the best yet. We cannot wait to go back again.
Staff are lovely and service was excellent. The food was beautiful too.
Good food and service.
Absolute shocking from the #codaeatery tonight. Booked 5 days in advance for dinner. Got there, waitress took our order only for the manager to come out, 10 minutes later to tell us that the restaurant was actually CLOSED tonight because there was a private function on earlier. I showed him my confirmation email and he proceeded to tell me that they do not have internet. It’s 2018!!! Showed the guy in a suit my confirmation email again and he didn’t seem too concerned. Offered us the bar menu (no thanks). Got up with my wife to tell them we are going and the guy in the suit just said “ok no problem” It was our first night out in 2 years and it just set a bad tone for the rest of the night, not to mention the expense of taxis getting to and from there for nothing! It’s also very pricey and not much of a menu to choose from. I will not be rushing back there in a hurry
First time dining here and we will definitely be back. Perfect spot for pre concert dinner or just to enjoy an evening with friends. Food and service were top class and comfortable surroundings and lovely view Added to a very enjoyable experience
Coda is a great place for all pre-show meal of going to the Three Arena at the Point. Great service, a large, airy room with a lively atmosphere and superb views from the outside terrace. We had a delicious scotch egg starter and burger main course. Simple food, good beer.
We loved our stay at the Gibson! The location was fab for our concert in the 3 arena. The rooms were comfy and spacious. The greeting we received at check in was so friendly and welcoming and the service we received in the coda restaurant from one staff member in particular "Kate" ( I hope I got her name right) was top notch. Kate was so friendly, she took time to chat to us, recommended a great dessert ("chocolate cigar" yum) and cocktail and remembered us with a friendly greeting again the next morning at breakfast. The Gibson are very lucky to have staff like Kate who leave a great impression on guests. Would definitely return and happily recommend to family and friends.
Website could be better.
Room was lovely, spacious & comfortable but could do with being a degree or 2 cooler, 21degrees is a little too warm for sleeping in (personal preference). The dinner was delicious & a nice variety of food to choose from for breakfast. Added bonus - no need to bring the car as LUAS stop is outside the door for easy access to train station & shopping!
Had a great time with lovely people....great staff
Excellent staff, lip smacking food, definitely booking again.
Thank you for a lovely evening. The food was nice but not what I would class as high end, especially for the price. Some of the food was bland but overall it was nice. The service was wonderful and the hotel atmosphere was lovely.
Excellent experience would definitely recommend to s friend
Service was second to none - food was sent out within moments and was piping hot. The feather blade beef was beyond exceptional and I literally recommended it to every guest around me. The portions appeared on the small side but this was understandable at the end of the meal. As everything was so rich in flavour you couldn't eat big portions. Having said that the salmon starter could be a bit more generous, as it was so delicious. The only let down is the alcohol, we were told 15 mins for a pint of rockshore, that's a tad excessive and the pints of guinness were more head than pint.
The food was vary average for the prices...we felt very rushed during our meal we had literally just ordered the starters and they came within seconds obviously been plated and in the fridge so it wasn’t 100% fresh! Again main courses were out so fast just don’t think anything was cooked to order...we asked to hold the desert a few times and we has our starter and main course all within 15 mins....
Very poor service for the pre-concert meal all drink orders were mixed up i.e. we ordered a bottle of red wine and got a glass of red wine, we ordered pints of peroni and got glasses of peroni, we ordered drinks and got them 20 minutes later, totally unacceptable for a pre-concert meal when time is of the essence, food was only ok, nothing great to be honest unfortunately we will not be returning to the Gibson Hotel again for any pre-concert events in the 3 arena The hotel should be prepared for these type of events and have the appropriate number of trained staff available on the day
Unfortunately this was not an enjoyable experience for me and my boyfriend. 20mins before after we sat down before our order was taken. We waited another 15 mins for our drinks to be served. I have the pumpkin gnocchi as a main unfortunately it wasn't nice at all. It was mushy and very bland. When the waitress was called over she got the manager over and said he would have a noodle dish ready for me in 4mins. I would have appreciated that however he didn't ask if i was vegetarian or if i had any allergies. I got served a chicken noodle dish with onions. The manager did apologise for the error and our meal was comped however it wasn't an enjoyable experience for us at all.
Our table was not set for our before our starter. The food was extortionately over priced for the standard of both service and the food which was served. Menu was very limited and left all of our table selecting dishes because we had no preferable option. Sadly I will not be visiting again.
Very modern and clean.
My experience of Coda Eatery was quite disappointing over all. I paid 29 Euro for two courses of very mediocre food and service. I ordered the burger and asked if the aioli would be served on the side and I was told it would be. My burger came with the aioli already on it. I explained to another waitress that I had been told it would be served on the side and she asked what I wanted to do. I said I would try to scrape it off as I didn’t know if we would have time to get to the concert if I waited for another burger. The chips were also very greasy and over cooked. Dessert was nice. More water was never brought to our table unless we asked for it. The venue was not busy before the Demi Lovato concert, there were lots of empty tables so I didnt feel like there was an excuse for this service. I did like that there was Demi Lovato music playing which definitely added to the atmosphere.
Overall a great experience
Lovely meal really enjoyed it staff very attentive. Maybe the plate for desert could be a bit smaller desert looked lost on plate but was fab. Will dine again on next visit to a concert.
Outstanding service from all of the staff. We had a drink in the bar prior to the meal as we were a little early. Fatih was absolutely outstanding as was Sophia. Well done.
We had a fabulous meal last Mon at Coda, just before heading into the 3 Arena for a concert. The food was so tasty and beautifully presented. All staff we encountered were friendly and professional. It was the first time all four of us ate there and we have been telling friends/ family how lovely it was. I would make a point of dining there before any future visits to the 3 Arena!
