About The George
Set in the picturesque village of Burpham in the South Downs National Park. Just over 2 miles from Arundel, The George at Burpham is a traditional 17th Century country pub which has been providing warm hospitality and refreshments to villagers and visitors alike for over 300 years
Usually amazing used to be my favourite place, service was good but food not so good, but guess it is just down to a limited menu. Was hoping for the lovely steak. Quite pricey just for fish and chips but we will return when menu has a few more items on.
A lovely warm welcome from all the staff- the atmosphere was great - the food and service was second to none- we will be back next week
We always enjoy our visits to the George. Great food, lovely atmosphere and friendly service.
The burger was very tasty, the mushrooms in the burger were unreal. The staff were lovely and so friendly. Will definitely come back again as I want to try the mushroom pasta!
Lovely food and great service
Even better food and service than before lockdown. The George is a wonderful country pub in the pretty village of Burpham on the outskirts of the historic market town of Arundel in West Sussex. Simply a must.
Amazing food and amazing service. The locals were stood in the road and refused to move when I come to visit- very rude. Bar them which I can’t base my review on it was great and well run. Thank you girls and chef
Excellent gin menu, varied wine list, delicious mushroom/halloumi burger, Very friendly service
Very accommodating, lovely food, friendly staff. Great service.
Good luck with the weather for the next few weeks. :-)
Really quick service and really nice food 😁
Great customer experience, food and beer but why do add 10%, surely gratuities should be based on your customers' experience of your services?
What a great pub in the middle of nowhere. The service was top notch. We work for a large international airline and forget how good service can be on the ground. These girls smashed it out the park on Monday night, the first night they had opened after lockdown. Will definitely be back
Brilliant menu combination of imaginative tapas (crab beignets are sensational) and pub favourites made our first meal of the year out a memorable occasion! It was great to be back and be looked after so well by Hollie and her team.
A wonderful pre Christmas dinner with amazing food and lots of fun. Great service.
Lovely food lovely atmosphere lovely location lovely service.
Great food, lovely cosy ambiance and very attentive service thank you!
Incredibly well organised and fabulous Christmas dinner..... completely Covid secure, great atmosphere... gorgeous food.... will be back as soon as look down allows.... A****
Christmas day lunch, Hollie and the team worked so hard to make sure everything was perfect, and they certainly delivered.
A beautiful setting, great food and good service
Hollie and Chloe run a very efficient pub and restaurant and are naturally charming and welcome. Always a pleasure to visit.
Great food and great service! We really enjoyed Christmas Eve at the George
Always a great welcome. You can rely on the staff to look after you well. Fabulous food and service. Great ambience.
As always great atmosphere lovely food brilliant staff.
Lovely setting and very attentive staff. I haven't been for a long time and I must say it has moved forward nicely. The food was really good apart from the chocolate mousse pudding, which was very heavy (not mousse like at all) and rather bitter. I sent it back with no problem at all from staff. A very nice xmas eve lunch experience in these difficult times. It would help if the wall mounted hand sanitiser was in more obvious position as you walk in. Thank you all at The George, Burpham.
