About The Garden Café
The Garden Cafe serves food that is seasonal and visually stimulating, with a focus on simple ingredients and a menu that changes daily
I booked the table for tea/coffee and cakes for a birthday celebration. it was reassuring to get the confirmation e mail on the booking which was 6+. The cafe was lovely and clean - table staff were very attentive and friendly. The cakes were unusual/ interesting flavours delicious and moist. Toilets were satisfactory, it was near the end of the day - paper towels had run out but otherwise clean. Great venue - close to Lambeth Bridge and the river - we will be back!
Slow Foods London Style In season ingredients cooked with care & attention to detail on a daily changing menu, served in a simple open environment with friendly service.
Beautiful food - lovely delicate flavours and the staff were friendly and efficient and happy to help with the menu. The cafe and museum were a fabulous find.
We had an excellent meal and would love to come back for more.
Delicious, beautifully flavoured bowl of pumpkin gnocchi, perfect for lunch in January! Great service, and the ambience at the Garden Cafe enhances your trip to the Garden Museum.
Such a lovely place. Gorgeous room, fabulous food and very friendly. Gem.
One of our favourite restaurants. Lovely fresh and interesting food, not too noisy, and really excellent and friendly service. Whats not to like. Keep it up.
Lovely space, charming staff and delicious food.
Lovely setting, relaxed atmosphere, and charming service.
Exemplary service, lovely surroundings, relaxed atmosphere. One of our party had a food (egg) allergy and this was well catered for.
Perfectly cooked ox cheek with Janson’s temptation on a bright cold December day. So simple and absolutely delicious. Food served by charming staff and views onto skilful planting. I’ll be back.
Booking was straightforward. Warm welcome when we arrived. Good service and interesting menu. Food well prepared and cooked, well presented and thoughtfully served. Interesting wine list and affordably priced.
Excellent lunch - warm, friendly and delicious
The waitress who served us was considerate and looked after us with a very personal touch
thoroughly enjoyed the meal here food was delicious.
Great Christmas menu and lovely service
A great place for lunch. Peaceful ambiance and amiable staff. Interesting and unusual menu.
Very friendly service. good tasty food. Difficult to access via tube
Our annual Trustees' Christmas lunch was held at the Garden museum and was a huge success. The food, the service, the atmosphere were all excellent, with us enjoying wonderful views on to the garden. The pre-ordering meant that the meal was served promptly, with staff knowing exactly who to give what food to. The Trustees were very impressed and are keen to return again individually and as a group. It was also excellent value for money, the menu was stimulating, and the food delicious. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. Rachel
The Garden Museum cafe staff were extraordinarily accommodating to our party: 11 adults and 7 babies! Carolina (the floor manager) was wonderful, and her whole team could not have been more helpful! We'll definitely be back...
super visit for an informal Christmas lunch with colleagues, always impressed with the quality of food
Very slow service. we took 2 hours to have a 2 course meal, all very easily prepared things. Staff were inattentive, we stood for about 3 minutes when we arrived with no one helping us, in spite of 3 members of staff and an almost empty café.
