About The Garden Café
The Garden Cafe serves food that is seasonal and visually stimulating, with a focus on simple ingredients and a menu that changes daily
A perfect place for a long-overdue catch-up with a dear friend. The ambience excellent and the friendly service was never intrusive and always attentive. My skate and monksbeard was cooked to perfection. I’ll be back!
Interesting venue with a pleasant atmosphere, something of an oasis of calm in a busy city. Not if you are in a hurry though.
A lovey calm space and interesting food.
Our only upset is that our dog is no longer allowed and I can't see why not. As far as I know she never upset any customers in the past...
A real find! Delicious food (think mini River Cafe) and charming, knowledgeable staff in a lovely tranquil setting. Very good value for money - can’t wait to return!
It is a beautiful setting and the service was just right; not too fast, not too slow and very pleasant and helpful. It is a great place to meet and eat in London; a little oasis by the Thames just opposite the Houses of Parliament. There is enough space for tables without feeling cramped and not too noisy, the acoustics seem good which added to the overall experience.
Excellent food, wonderful space
Delicious food and the staff were very accommodating. Booking process was the only slight hitch to the entire process.
very nice outlook, delicious food - refreshingly uncomplicated and exceptionally good on flavour. Two main courses, a bottle of wine and a cheese plate shared between two = £80.00 - will definitely return but would welcome a set menu price if that ever comes up as a option (might return more regularly). All round a very very lovely experience.
We were very well looked after - thank you.
Ok food but found hair in the main dish we ordered. Staff handled it well by not charding us for the dish and giving us the dessert on the house, but would expect not to have the hair in the first place. Interesting how they became engaging and helpful only after the 'hair' incident though.
Who ever I have a meal with at the Garden Cafe, we always come away hugely satisfied and delighted with the experience and the delicious meal. I have recommended you to so many people!
Delicous, seasonal and interesting food cooked expertly and served with a smile.
The olaice and mussels were excellent. However £5 for a pile of lettuce leaves seems a bit steep!
Now I understand why it is essential to book! A full house with all plates being emptied which demonstrates good tasty meals. The service was attentive without being overpowering, a difficult balance to achieve but appreciated.
Food excellent - how civilised to be offered very good bread, and water on arrival. Good choice on the set menu, and well cooked and presented - but I wonder why you were running out of plaice so early on - not good management! Sadly, what spoilt our occasion was the cold - I had to sit with scarf and pashmina throughout and was still freezing - this is not conducive to enjoying such lovely food. Your staff are lovely - smiley and efficient.
This is an excellent restaurant with lovely views and comfort and seating. Menu is seasonal and always delicious.
delightful and helpful people. very accommadating with the number of people with me.
A truly charming setting with outstanding food and service
Enjoyed a great meal - will be coming back. Would like the option of an earlier gin and tonic....
Can’t include drinks as I don’t drink. Otherwise exceptional value for money and delicious flavour combinations.
Lovely space surrounded by garden. Service very good and flexible. Well prepared and interesting food. Will be back.
Delicious, interesting food and friendly service. The only drawback was that it was a bit chilly sitting by the window.
Food is delicious but pricey. I'd still go back, as would the other members of my party. We sat outside, in dappled shade - a very pleasant setting.
