About The Fritton Arms
Pub & Restaurant with Rooms
Extensively revamped, the Fritton Arms was recently re-opened as a place to relax with friends, over well selected drinks, and a creative menu of locally sourced food. For travellers, holiday-makers or those just passing through, we offer nine elegant and comfortable rooms, guaranteeing you a comfortable stay.
The atmosphere is relaxed but the kitchen is serious - with operations run by our highly acclaimed team of chefs. For food lovers, we have a wood fired oven to roast meat and cook our excellent homemade pizzas. The bar keeps a fine and changing collection of local ales, so there’ll always be something new to try.
staff very attentive, food although not cheap is good quality and very tasty. Nice and relaxing in the bar area. Overall a very good evening and will certainly return
We have stayed in the hotel and visited the restaurant with our friends. We've found the staff very friendly and the meals excellent.
Very pleasant evening lovely food and so nice to be able to have after dinner coffee in front of the open fire . Sue Rock
Excellent quality food and service
Great food but thought it was slightly on the expensive side 5 fish and chips plus minimal drinks £101 Slightly out of the way Kind regards Glenn
Food was of good quality. Didn’t have the full menu available but offered a free round of drinks which was a nice touch.
We had a lovely afternoon, the service and food were excellent. Staff were very helpful and decorated the table for my son's birthday. Highly recommend.
Excellent quality food and service
Thank you for making this such an enjoyable experience. The food was lovely. The service first class and the atmosphere relaxed. The boys even had a game of table football before we left. A lovely birthday treat!!
A terrific meal - and we loved the pool table and table football afterwards!
I had noticed that more staff have been employed which I thought was a good thing, but it didn’t work out that way. Whilst we stood at the bar I tried to get the attention of the bar staff to order more drinks, I said excuse me fairly loudly on 3 occasions with no reply eventually the girl turned round and see me waiting. During the time of me trying to get the bar staffs attention there was actually 3 people behind the bar. Once we where taken to our table and given menus it took over 20minutes before anyone came back to take our order for food or to see if we required any more drinks. I don’t think that employing more staff was the answer I think you need more tentative staff instead. Food, 3 of use ordered the mussels to start, the mussels where over cooked whilst trying to remove them from the shell the mussels kept ripping into shreds also what is the point of the chef making a nice sauce to go with the mussels when like most other restaurants I have eaten in or worked in they usually serve bread for the sauce or a spoon!!! The other guest had the tempura fried cucumber with blue cheese this was just a limp mess on a plate not presented or cooked very well. Then the main course, 2 ordered lamb this meal was pleasant it’s a pity both of the plates had rock hard under cooked potatoes on them and 2 ordered the cod. The 2 guest that ordered the cod said that it didn’t taste fresh and was slimy inside so all in all not a very nice meal and I don’t think you will be seeing any of us back there again.
Great food and service in a wonderful setting.
Lovely helpful friendly staff Some of the food was a little too salty for my liking, otherwise beautifully presented and very tasty.
Fantastic location and could be the most amazing property if it was run professionally . Don't open a venue without the necessary on duty staff to deliver a quality service . The hotel main areas are dirty and unkempt , the main restaurant had food scattered on the floor , carrots, cauliflower and a woman's hair toggle , pointed this out to Victoria on SATURDAY morning whilst at breakfast and to Jack on Saturday evening after our meal and guess what the discarded food and hair toggle were still there to greet us for breakfast on SUNDAY morning !... Victoria was a miserable and un engaging individual who should not be front of house . KARLY is a real asset ... Breakfast on Sunday morning LORD style was microwaved , cardboard bacon , congealed bake beans and burnt tomato . horrible !... And the finale a large long blond hair in the marmalade . The entire place needs deep cleaning , no sign of a hoover , only a woman with a can of Mr Sheen and a filthy old duster , toilets were rank and had the bins overflowing with paper towels - NO EXCUSES , we were the only customers on Friday night ! Good value for money it was certainly not !... Front entrance covered in leaves as you walked in ! ... Dead plants on the dining tables !... We could go on and on ... a real shame as you could have a fabulous venue here if it was run at a professional level
Totally upset our New Year's Eve celebrations. We wanted to dine with you. The system let me book a table. I then had a phone call to say that I couldn't have the reservation that I'd made and that my only option was to take your seven course option at a cost of £80 and this was without alcohol. I wasn't even offered any discount on that bearing in mind it was your mistake. I tried to book elsewhere but was unable to unless I wanted to travel to norwich. I live in Blundeston, which is why I booked to eat in your restaurant. Will not be eating in or recommending you to anyone.
Lamb is amazing
Excellent food and lovely atmosphere. The only thing I would change is having a kid friendly menu too.
We enjoyed a fabulous Christmas and New Year at the Fritton Arms. The food and service were both fabulous, the atmosphere was great and the staff could not do enough to make sure the experience was made special. Would recommend for anything from a casual drink through to a fabulous sit down meal.
Have visited many times and this was the best meal (s) we have had. Well done all.
Wonderful Christmas dinner and service, lovely atmosphere especially with the fires a blazing. The only slight problem was so much food !!!! Couldn't manage the cheeseboard !!! All of us had a great day. Thank you.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Fabulous food and the public rooms were beautifully decorated for Christmas.
Our stay was a 10/10 from start to finish. Your chef's are amazing the food was outstanding. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and with a smile.
Great as always
