Food was beautiful- everything we ate was beautifully presented and delicious. Drinks selection was very good and really liked the sparkling English wine. Service was slow initially with drinks orders but great for the rest of the evening. Would love to come back in the future
The custard tart arrived deconstructed which was very strange and spoilt it
We really enjoyed our stay but I was disappointed with the food menu , it wasn’t clear what the dishes are and not much variety on the menu for instance a chicken dish would have been nice it was all about duck food and the steak was £35 which was pricey. Also our table was very wobbly and we asked for it if we can change and they said that all the tables they got but clearly there was empty tables. And when I booked reservation I asked for a nice table as it was my husband 40th this was ignored also as we were sited by the door which was cold and wobbly table. And this was disappointing as well . Other than the restaurant we enjoyed our stay.
Exceptional menu, wonderful front of house team and a hugely enjoyable evening - varied wine list and a great selection of cheese - can’t wait to return! A really inviting atmosphere and a lovely way to spend a Friday evening!
Disappointing, bland starter, (smoked salmon, mackerel not available, dry mushroom.tart, cold steak, triple cooked chips hardly cooked once, suggest you send your chef to one of Heston's restaurants to see how they should be done. Poor echoing acoustics needs softening. Badly laid out bill, difficult to understand, particularly the price for two of a distincly sub standard meal, twice the price of a local gastropub but lacking the atmostphere, service and food quality.
Excellent service, v attentive staff
Honestly we are disappointed with the new decor that looks like a holiday inn ...instead of classy restaurant. No table cloth and the chair and table looks like an IKEA product. The menu offered is very limited and the taste way below what it used to be. And subsequently overpriced. We are concerned that Manor restaurant is now way below our ratings of restaurants in Great Fosters and Coworth Park
The staff were brilliant and the food lovely. We did however miss the elegance and comfort of the old dining room with the lovely white linen table cloths and arm chairs.
Your staff across the whole hotel + club are a credit to you
Unfortunately, not a good experience. We came on Saturday night for my Mum's 85th birthday. Our pre-dinner drinks in the bar were ruined by a family with 4 kids climbing all over the sofas in the bar. The starters were nice and well presented but my brothers lamb (main) was tough and inedible. My pork did not have crispy crackling and we didn't bother with puds as we were all rather disappointed with the whole evening.
Great refurb and wonderful food. Service is pretty average.
Given one star as it was not possible to give zero. Very disappointed. Cold food, poor service, canteen atmosphere and overpriced. The recent changes have ruined what was always a special place for a celebratory lunch. We will not be back.
Restaurant & food were delicious! All 3 courses excellent. Dessert divine! Staff are all so helpful. Albert is extraordinaire! Bon Bon mixed fab G&Ts & Aperol spritz. Spa treatments, tennis, swimming & sunshine - a wonderful treat & great value!
C'était tout simplement parfait. Cadre magnifique, personnel accueillant et serviable et repas absolument délicieux. Je recommande fortement !
The food was outstanding , great restaurant
We had a most enjoyable afternoon at Foxhills and will come again!
Our waiter Albert was very attentive and made our tea a very enjoyable experience. Some more adventurous sandwich fillings would have been appreciated but the dessert and tea options were fabulous!
Very enjoyable little extras birthday surprise were nice addition.
The Fox Dining Room has been renovated and looks absolutely stunning. It was a pleasure dining in such beautiful surroundings. The service was very good with courteous, professional staff. We felt the menu was a little limited and the choices were odd, but the food was absolutely delicious. You could tell a great deal of thought and care had been put into it. I have frequently dined at the Foxhills main restaurant and it is often empty. We were the only diners in there at lunchtime on a bank holiday weekend so would have expected a few other diners - it means the restaurant lacks atmosphere. I feel there are 2 reasons for this: 1) the restaurant is a very pricey and there are probably other nicer restaurants in the area where the food is more reasonable; 2) the booking system is very poor. I tried to call Foxhills several times that morning as some friends wanted to join and could not get through to the restaurant. I then tried to make a reservation online and it showed only a few options for a lunch reservation- suggesting the restaurant was fully booked over the main lunch period but that could not have been further from the truth. I do hope Foxhills can make a few adjustments as I’m sure the restaurant could be very successful with a bit more thought.
Great service - just right and made the experience even better
Really tasty meals and a lovely view.
The menu provided a good choice of options for the three of us. Beautifully presented and great flavours, the desserts were subliminal! Staff were very attentive, although it was busy.
Foxhills is absolutely lovely, very peaceful and welcoming. The service was a bit slow but the staff were very friendly and accommodating so we didn’t mind. We had afternoon tea & the pastries and scones were delicious but the sandwiches were a bit less satisfying. Overall, we love the place and will definitely return and recommend. Thank you!
The food was mixed. Cod was good, pork belly ok, sticky toffee pudding terrible. Service was ridiculously slow. We waited half an hour at least for dessert, no one offered us drinks, and the staff were tidying up around us (while we were waiting for dessert) at about 9pm. Breakfast was similar. Great potential, but not quite there yet!
The sandwiches were rather dry and the crusts had been semi cut off. Some of them had more butter than filling, very basic sandwiches. The scones and cakes were lovely. We had to try and catch a waiter/waitress to ask for a tea top up. We were never asked if we wanted tea/ sandwich top up. Had expected higher quality food.
