About The Fox and Coney Inn
The Fox and Coney is a cosy country pub with open fires and dog friendly. Great food and a great selection of ales, wines, gins, and whiskeys.
Really enjoyable evening with a friend, 3rd time I have been this month to the Fox & Coney and every visit has been excellent .
Great food and service. Loud, giggly girls in bar area, waiting for staff member to finish shift, slightly spoilt evening.
Really enjoyed our stay a little gem
Not enough scallops in starter Too long to wait for starters
Had a great time, would return again to stay. Love the master suite, a great experience. Thanks to your team for making our stay memorable.
First time there. Very good. Will go again.
Lovely food. Main course portions are very generous. Excellent service. We found the restaurant rather too warm but that's a minor quibble.
Never disappointed . Everything about the fox and coney is spot on . So nice to see such happy staff , always friendly and attentive without being intrusive . Food always fresh especially the vegetables . Just love the whole atmosphere .
Thoroughly enjoyable Sunday lunch experience. Good quality roast and attentive service, all at a reasonable cost.
The room we stayed in was fantastic, must be one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in, the only downer on the room was the traffic noise, something no one can do anything about. The service from the staff was excellent, but a few older staff would be of value as majority of waiting staff were a little on the young side. Maybe a uniform for management. Both myself and my wife were disappointed with the food, my wife's pate looked very disappointing, my rib eye steak whilst cooked and served correctly but was tough and I was unable to eat it all, I know I should have complained but this is not my stile especially in a full restaurant. The breakfast was also disappointing, a poor selection of cold buffet, with the hot full breakfast not much better, presentation could be a better. Considering that you charge an extra £10 pp for this option. Our stay was special as it was my wife's birthday and the room and service was excellent, the overall experience was in excess of £230 inc room, meal, breakfast, bar drinks. This is an expensive experience to a retired couple, but its only once a year. To sum up I would recommend my friends to stay at the Fox and Coney and have drinks, but would advise eating elsewhere.
Lovely lunch, served promptly, delicious 'Specials' salmon starter.
Great place to eat and definitely worth a visit.
Nicely appointed village pub with good range of draft beers and excellent menu. Staff extremely courteous and helpful. Definitely re-visit.
Very helpful and friendly service which definitely made our trip one to remember!
Fox and Coney is very consistent. Never yet been disappointed with the service, atmosphere or the food. A pleasure to dine here.
Food was pretty good but we ordered a couple of sides which only arrived at the end of the meal. Staff were nice but could do with being a bit more attentive. I ordered some drinks and saw them waiting on the bar as our waiter walked past them twice so I went to get them myself!!
Warm friendly atmosphere with lovely food
The food was delicious. The service was a little slow, overall it was excellent definitely going again.
A little expensive but quality was generally good
We have visited The Fox & Coney a few times now. We have never been disappointed. The menu has plenty of choices & the specials board has extra delights. The staff are attentive & efficient
Chips a bit few but all very tasty and good quality food
Eat here periodically on the way home from the coast, friendly, prompt service and quality food( usually Sunday lunch) Never failed to impress
Great food...... Excellent quality control and customer service too. I was informed the chef wasn't happy with the quality of a side dish ingredient and they offered to make me thing else instead. Everyone in our group really enjoyed their meal and service was equally good.
Lovely family meal in a lovely pub
The service was dreadful, there appeared to be one young girl doing a lot of running about while 2 others stood chatting near the computer. Waited an hour for food which was then wrong when it arrived. Struggled to get the attention of the young girl who was clearly doing all the work to get another drink, when we did get her attention she wasn't rude but clearly stressed by us asking her to do more work!
