About The Fox and Coney Inn
The Fox and Coney is a cosy country pub with open fires and dog friendly. Great food and a great selection of ales, wines, gins, and whiskeys.
Very enjoyable evening and friendly staff we will return
Had a lovely meal but noticed that the glass my husband was drinking out of had two quite big chips out of it . When we told a member of staff they went to the bar and told the bar staff. They came back and offered us another drink , to which we had to refuse as we were driving. They should have taken this off the bill or even offered us a coffee or something, but they just walked away when we said we were driving . We also didn’t get shown the specials board and so didn’t see it until we had got our meal .
Everything was fantastic especially the chateaubriand we will definitely be back.
Food was lovely
Great night great food
Always nice to come back
Delicious food and good atmosphere
Hi Great meal, Sunday night I suppose have to accept that some items are un available off the menu, in our case a certain wine and two of the main courses, however all was well and what we had was lovely Jonathan
Had a table for 10 Sun Jan 5— consensus was did not like service charge ! At least it was discretionary + 12.5% awful—- our service was minimal — not proactive or attentive—- also no white wine we asked for and no creme brûlée. Yorkshire Puddings far better than our 1st visit a month earlier but the kitchen very parsimonious with the vegetables —- our carrots were very hard!
The staff were incredibly good, served us promptly an went the extra mile. The menu was good and quality and speed of service excellent. What more can we say?!
Staff friendly and helpful offering excellent service and delicious food.
Excellent as usual
Amazing place, lovely atmosphere and very friendly. The staff were outstanding couldn’t do enough for you. The food and choice of drink was great. Definitely go again when in the area. Highly recommended.
Service can be slow with regard to ordering drinks at the table. The customers at the bar seem to get priority which means people in the restaurant seem to wait longer.
We have enjoyed the fox and coney since it reopened, however, our love for the place is being tested with our visits over the last year. The service just gets slightly worse every time we visit. It’s a similar tale at the Triton. Too many inexperienced young staff with no clear manager assisting and directing. It takes too long to receive menus, order drinks/food and again, an age to receive food. The aesthetics and food cannot cover for this problem forever.
Lovely meal with the family. Food served promptly and was well cooked, tasty and well presented. Only negative was the onion rings which were a bit too oily. Service good and cosy atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
Enjoyable evening- good atmosphere and food
Excellent as always !
We had a fabulous night - thank you !
Great food and friendly staff.
We are regulars and it never disappoints, great service and lovely food!
Sunday lunch —- Belly Pork dish very good but needed vegetables which were not included. Roast Beef was only 1 slice and the Yorkshire Puddings not great quality. Gravy and vegetables would be better served separately! Overall the 4 of us were pleased with the dining experience and quality of food and service.
Food lovely and staff were great. Was a manicky busy night and had to wait a long time for our food but were compensated
Really nice and friendly atmosphere
Traditional pub, with great atmosphere. Friendly service and tasteful food.
