About The Foresters Arms
A big hello from Greg, Dawn and the team at The Foresters Arms, Lower Cumberworth!
The family, walker & cyclist friendly country gastropub
We are a family run business with over 25 years in the food and hospitality industry. With Greg at the helm, Dawn running the kitchen, a great team of chefs and waiting staff, we strive to make your dining experience not only enjoyable and friendly but somewhere you will feel right at home!
All our food is homemade by our team of trained chefs using the freshest, highest quality ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible.
We like to describe our food as “simply good home cooked food with a hint of Italian and French cuisine with a modern twist.”
The names of our dishes are straight-forward; plain and simple,
as our focus is with the flavours and presentation
of our food!
The taste of perfection! We are dedicated to your taste buds!
“Our successful experience in national restaurant chains combined with sheer hard work will guarantee you’ll get high quality food and excellent service as standard.”
A very enjoyable experience. Lovely pub, wonderful food, delightful staff. Thank you.
Very good choice of food, particularly vegetarian. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Good choice of draught beers. We shall certainly go again.
Excellent food and great service, will certainly return.
Yet again a superb meal. Great fish and chips, belly pork and a steak and ale pie. Super beers on tap.
Fab evening with friends Food was delicious Enjoyed some very tasty cocktails Staff friendly
Always good food & service!
All members of our party thoroughly enjoyed the whole lunch experience.
Like the new menu, great family experience
Food & drinks good as usual. Had to wait an inordinate amount of time for the main courses due apparently to a large party being in. Should not have to play second best to a larger party.
Tasty, fresh, nicely presented food. Good vegetarian options. Excellent service.
Everything lovely but portions seemed a little small particularly fish and chips even though it said small , these were very small!
A very welcoming establishment. We were greeted with a smile, and excellent service throughout. The food was fresh, delicious and my chicken was extremely succulent.
Very slow service. Staff very pleasant and helpful once they stop congregating around the monitor and come to your table. Waited nearly 10 mins for a bottle of water! Became quite weary of trying to catch their attention,
We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening, thank you
Food was lovely apart from we had to send the chicken skewer back as it was chewy and undercooked, second attempt was good. We also told the waiting staff the burger was quite grisly and had ledt over half of it but no apology or feedback was given
Was a lovely meal and service was fast and efficient
Great staff great food Thank you
I was told I could sit at our table (I was a bit early) but I wasn't told where it was. At the same time I asked for tap water & glasses which never materialised. We were a group of 10 & we all enjoyed our food very much
Nice country pub and good food
Good food and service! The pricing structure for food was slightly odd compared to what I have seen in other similar places and the fish of the day although being very nice was over priced for what it was and could have done with a side other than new potatoes
Sunday roast chicken was one of the best we’ve had .congrats to all the team
Have been many times, service is always very good, food to die for, beer and wine very good. Value for money.
as usual everything was great, steak perfect wine very good, service very good.
Loved it!! Will be back again!
Food was freshly prepared, service was very good staff very helpful, we were not rushed. Although the GF menu was sperate my sister in law had some good choices from the main menu. We found the whole experience of dining in the Forester was very good.
