About The Forest at Feckenham
Gastropub specialising in fresh home-cooked food, fine wines and well-kept real ales.
Would have expected vegetables with sausage and mash not an after thought. The chicken and pancetta pie was great however the chicken had cartilage on . The chips did not come out with the pie, they forgot. Overall very good a little overpriced.
Good quality food with outstanding service, drinks over the top price wise, one of the most expensive lunches we have had in a long time but will go back again.
A really lovely meal at lunchtime. Food was full of flavour and could not be faulted. Staff were friendly and service was very good too x
I was told on arrival that a pipe had burst in the Cellar in the week so were unable to serve Cold tap Beer?? If this Happened in the Week why was I not informed prior to our Arrival? We had to Purchase Cold Bottles for approx. the Same cost as a pint and only getting Half?? There was No Pork T bones Left?? Sat Night and Run out?? Not Impressed. Food Presentation not the best. For the Money, a bit of care on the Presentation should be a high priority.....I have visited this Place many times but I doubt I will be returning based on this visit.......
The hospitality was great the service was great the food was fab and yes we will come back
Good food. Friendly service.
Staff were very friendly but seemed slightly disorganised
Amazing meal the steak was just perfect. I would of just of liked a bit more interaction at the end of the meal as I had to walk up to the till to pay as we waited quite a while after receiving the bill But otherwise the meal was fabulous and we will most definitely be returning.
Excellent - thought food was very nicely presented and flavoursome . Service very good- wine was slightly overpriced hence the 4 star rating for value for money . Would definitely go again
Lovely pub restaurant interior & garden in pleasant surroundings. Starter menu a little limiting for someone with a Lactose intolerance, perhaps introduce a breaded/garlic mushroom starter as even the soup had cream added. Our only gripe would be main menu choices offered fish cakes(2 served) but with no accompanying chips...had to order as an extra...felt at £12.50 chips &/or peas should've been a given! Conservatory had carpet which was puckered and bit of a trip hazard for me as I have walking difficulties.
We had the roast beef and I have to say it was a bit chewy with a lot of gristle hence the rating for food. Unusual as the food is usually good.
We held a business 20th anniversary lunch for 25 people at The Forest yesterday. The food, service and experience was excellent, as always. We had to pre-order due to the size of our party but it was lovely that we did not have to have a set menu and were able to have a choice of starters, mains and desserts. Everyone really enjoyed it. Thumbs up all round from us!
Excellent food combined with friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommended.
Good quality food and service is fantastic. Our second time here and we enjoyed it. Made more special by the team who made my mum In law feel special on her birthday. Thank you.
We had a lovely lunch in the garden!
We've been coming to The Forest for a number of years. With friends, occasionally for dinner with family or on date nights. Regardless of the occasion or who we come with we have a great night. The staff are a young, lovely & smiley bunch. We love it here! We only have positive feedback.
Excellent steak! Great serice. Will vosit again
Excellent service, did struggle a little to find a main course to my liking, but that’s personal choice. No,too noisey and the air con was just right.
Lovely pub and the staff are really nice. From the minute we walked in until the minute we left the staff were smiling and really pleasant. Lovely food
Excellent meal and service only spoiled by some very poor Gnochi which was inedible and really should not have come out of the kitchen. Staff handled it perfectly and no issue that impacted on our enjoyment and we will be back.
Great place. Highly recommend it to travelers. Servers were polite and responsive. Good was superb. Would definitely return
In general we enjoyed our meal - service v iffy -long waits, had to order drinks a couple of times. Mix up with gluten free desert. Staff pleasant but not v efficient or knowledge
very good table service, plenty of staff! Main course good, but desserts typical for " Uk Gastro pubs" nowadays ie totally average and small.Saved by pleasant decor and attentive staff.
It was our first visit & we will definitely be back.
pleasant lunch in pleasant surroundings
