FoodWell, Manchester is a first-of-its-kind venue in the North West. A unique wellbeing concept bringing some mind, body & soul to city living.
A Californian inspired mindful Restaurant, Cocktail Bar, Health Deli, Wellness Studio, Creative Events Space and beautiful place to work, meet and relax.
In the week, FoodWell, Manchester is much more than just a place to eat, drink, work and get active. It is a community of people who share a love for social, inspirational spaces and nutritious food & drink.
At weekends we switch, with a huge emphasis on Brunch and Sunday Roast, featuring make-your-own Mimosa/Bloody Marys, whilst acoustic live chill-out music plays for relaxed day time dining & drinking. In the evening our resident DJs play to the restaurant an eclectic mix of Balearic tunes to add the perfect atmosphere to your dining experience.
Foodwell, Manchester is located at the bottom end of Spinningfields across the walk bridge over the river Irwell.
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
With consideration to global ‘virus’ issue stock attainment may have been difficult however the goats cheese small plate I ordered was completely different for the menu description. I opted for a second choice small plate as the one desired was unavailable and the value for money was not satisfactory. I throughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the drink selection is great however I cannot hold the food and food service to the same level as the atmosphere.
The brunch was excellent. I have coeliac disease and was able to choose different ingredients which were gluten free and also served with gluten free bread!
Pleasant atmosphere, healthy food and perfect for lunch meetings
We had such amazing time at the Meraki event. We had so much food and bottomless drinks for such. good price and the night was enjoyed in such a great atmosphere. We will definitely be returning for the next one!
Took a while for us to get a drinks order taken but apart from that we had a great experience!
Seated out of the way. Waiter was a slime ball. Food was ok, but everything unnecessarily garnished with radish, bizarre. Monkfish was 2 mouthfuls, left hungry and bill was over £100. Discretionary service charge added why??? service was average at best and it is down to the customer if he or she wishes to leave the slime ball a tip. Won’t be back. Saw that DJ a few years ago playing elsewhere in Spinningfields, same fucking set as before.
Great atmosphere due to the showcase we were attending however the food wasn't to our taste and the selection on the drinks menu was poor.
Great Sunday roast dinner, great service and nice ambiance, live chilled music. The cocktails are a little expensive for the size of them, but really nice none the less.
The staff made us feel very welcome. Calming Live music added to the atmosphere. Decor was top class and added to the experience. Once all the surrounding building works are completed it will take Foodwell to the next level. We are going to try again during a mid-week evening to compare with the brunch.
Basic menu and chicken tasted microwaved
Got sat down 25 minutes late then nobody came over to take a drinks order for 20 minutes
Second time visiting Firefly. The first time with a party of 12 for a birthday meal and this time with a party of 4. The food was great, good sized portions from a selection of the small or large plates. We didn’t have to wait to long for our food and the drinks were reasonably priced. Wish I got the waiters name, he was great - friendly and chatty (looked like Bradley Cooper) Atmosphere can be quite loud when the live saxophonist plays against the music but this is part of the reason I came back, as it’s a great place to socialise and grab a bite to eat and get your night started. Love it. Hope to visit again soon!
We travelled over from the Isle of Man for the weekend and as a surprise I looked for something different for my gf and I. It didn't disappoint. It had the right blend of modern and contemporary with a lively atmosphere but not too 'night club' like. The food was equally good! We will absolutely book in again next time we are in manchester.
I think the food is amazing but often find inconsistencies in the portion sizes. For example, the halloumi popcorn - sometimes I get it and I get a huge portion of it enough to share between two, and other times I get it and there’s barely enough for one person. The food is amazing but it is on the pricey side especially on the lunch menu, but this isn’t the biggest issue in the world. Love eating at foodwell.
Great time!! Will def go again
I ordered teriyaki chicken and was given chicken satay! Was told it was definitely teriyaki, it CLEARLY wasn’t! Bit weird. Also two of the wines we ordered were out of stock and some menu items also out of stock. Disappointed really. The rest of the food was nice enough, not amazing though.
The live music you had on was amazing. The food was amazing despite no 🥑🥑🥑🥑. The service was great. Special mention to james who was superb.
Really enjoyed our visit to the Firefly and will be definitely returning.
Great meal.. The beef fillet especially was incredible!
Food we absolutely delicious. We were lucky to have a 10% off the food which was good . Service was ok - we did have to ask for some lunch menus as they were taking. We would like to come again.
Service was very poor. Had to ask to order as was sat with menus for 20 minutes. Then waited for 20 mins once we have finished food with plates. After having to ask for dessert menus and then sitting with those for over 10 mins with know one coming to take our order, got fed up waiting and went to the bar to pay. All the while staff were standing around chatting. Very disappointed.
Nice New bar in Spinningfields Manchester. I have a wheat allergy so opted for the GF Pork and noodle dish....hmmm when it came the waiter said the noodles weren’t gluten free, so basically I had 2 tiny strips of pork in a very bland curry sauce for £18!!! I was offered no alternative to the main part ( noodles) so was very disappointed and left VERY hungry. Wouldn’t visit again I’m afraid. Hubby had the burger and although it was quirky served on a black bun, he said that it was just Ok.
Terrific food, although prices are at the highest end of what I'd say is reasonable (about £100 for two)
Enjoyable setting, lovely food and good service. Very pleased.
The menu is very imaginative. The corn bread in the chowder was a little solid compared with when we had them on an earlier visit. The chowder is delicious though.
