About The Flying Moa
We’re a New Zealand kind of pub that feels like home. Enjoy good times, great beer and tasty food in an environment where you always feel welcome.
Loads of free car-parking both in front and underneath.
I think it was overpriced for what we had. I had the chicken Parma and it was overcooked, came with shoes string fries, which you can buy from the supermarket and slaw, which also looked shop bought. Not great for 29.90. Also the beer batted fries ordered with one of the meals came out after the meal was finished. Mentioned about the fries and said we weren't going to pay for them..
All round good experience...the chairs are a bit rough when you’re 8 months pregnant to though!
Would be a 5 star rating have been here a couple of times. Food was on point !! Drinks came out slowly and then were mucked up but other than that all was good. Service was good too but because of the muck up in drinks and the long wait for a refill (40mins) had to give it 4 stars.
Service can NOT be faulted - staff fast, professional, helpful, and very friendly
Was visiting on a Friday night for a work function. I have previously had a number of work functions here for my last Company, and so was optimistic about things going well. For the most part, my group of 15 were not disappointed at all. The service was great, the staff very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is certainly on point and what I had remembered from my previous functions there. I did feel that the food quality had slightly dropped however. Particularly with the Ribbs (which were quite dry and a little overcooked on both dishes ordered), and the Poutine where the gravy tasted almost like it was out of a packet. Most people really enjoyed the other dishes though, and we would consider coming back again as I know I've had great food from there in the past.
Great atmosphere. We were there for the Wilder v Fury fight. Would be better if the big screen image could be seen during the day. The picture wasnt bright enough so everyone had to watch on the TVs instead
Our 4 Main courses took a little longer to be served after our Entrees.
Loved the place, it's nice, tidy, spacious! Definitely going back again!
Value for money especially on Monday’s for ribs! Definitely be visiting again in the near future.
We had a fantastic time at the quiz night. Thanks!
Awesome correspondence for Flying Moa staff and follow ups.
Really enjoyed the Tuesday night pub quiz - busy place but great atmosphere and friendly staff!
The food was great. Didn't realise you had to go to the bar to get drinks when you book a table.
Always a pleasure to dine at the Moa, service from the staff is exceptional, they really make you feel welcome, Just a shame they took the Stone-grill off the menu, definitely will be back.
The chicken Karage was dry and overcooked and the pork spareribs was semi warmed. Otherwise the flavours and presentation was good. Service was prompt & efficient. Tables were clean and staff was doing a good job. The bar was noisey and high spirited and the sound system had to be cranked up to cater for them. We'll probably come again on a Monday instead of a payday in the near future to try more of the chef's menu.
We had a great family dinner with great service and food. It did get a little uncomfortable as the sun set and blinds would have helped.
Great service, good food and fantastic place.
Great place for a meal and a beer, slightly pricey for portion sizes. Service we received was excellent, would visit again.
Moa has a new menu me and mum are really enjoying the new options burgers and schnitzel are amazing. And our very friendly waitress Chelsea was very helpful with her great service...would come back anytime...
We were disappointed in the service. We were rushed out at 9.30 as they were closing. We ordered coffee but couldn’t have one as they were cleaning the machine. Dessert was certainly not worth $13.00.. burnt lemon meringue on a saucer! We were celebrating a birthday and this put a damper on the night. Won’t be back in a hurry!
Your staff made the evening and experience 100% more enjoyable. They were friendly personable and you were well staffed for the pub quiz so no one had to wait. Both guys who served us were champions as was the manager. The pub quiz will be a regular thing for us now having been to our first last night. Great job!
Great place to celebrate Fathers day
Father's day so it was busy A bit noisy and the special meal had run out which we were looking forward to Staff were friendly helpful
