We only have a limited number of tables that are covered, we will operate on a first come first serve basis.
We can't wait to see you all soon.
The Five Bells is a stunning 16th century inn overlooking the rolling hills of the North Downs in East Brabourne. A quintessential English country pub with four gorgeous guest suites. Proud to have been twice voted Kent Life Pub of the Year and winner of Kent Pub of the Year at the 2019 National Pub Awards.
The Five Bells deserves business in these trying times, especially outside. Seating good, heaters everywhere and effective, service really good. Can't wait to sit indoors though! Well done.
We really enjoyed our meal (our 6 yr old daughter said the cheeseburger was so good she wants 2 next time!!) and are looking forward to coming back when the evenings are a bit warmer
The outside area has been done up really nicely and the service was brilliant considering they've only just opened back up again after lockdown! Will definitely be going back
Well, what a wonderful evening we had after such a long time in lockdown! It felt like a novelty. The waiting staff were charismatic and kind. The food was just like I remembered: delicious! And the atmosphere was charming. Love the new decor and Ive recommended this place to many people. It's my favourite place to dine in the UK.
Was a lovely meal and great atmosphere. Even supplied outdoor heaters which can be needed at times when dining outside. Thanks again.
The transformation of the 5 Bells to cope with the new Covid restrictions is wonderful and the food was great. It cheered us up no end after months of lock down. We’ll be back! Maria, Nick, Anna, Dan and kids
Five Bells is absolutely best pub on the word. Staff friendly always help, food amazing and atmosphere is unbelievable . We really really want tell big thank you for everything. We enjoy this pub 6 years and nothing changing. Amazing Wonderfull space. thank you. Jitka and David Morgan
Gorgeous pub, great staff, my only issue is that the portion sizes are significantly smaller than they used to be yet the prices have remained as high.
Excellent lunch, welcoming & quick service. Food fresh & lovely.
Fantastic as always! Food and Service Amazing!
great service and delicious food offer as usual, the new outdoors area is absolutely gorgeous!
I have always loved the 5 Bells and completely understand the struggle that must have been undertaken during COVID however I do feel as though on my last visit that the franchise had lost a lot of the really nice touches that used to make this one of my favourite pubs. I’m sure this will return as the current situation relaxes but I also understand there is new management and I think future success within the franchise may rely on these smaller touches. The food menu was very restricted compared to before-and not a lot of versatility lots of duplicate items but in different meats/flavours, too many curry-esquires veggie/vegan options, not a lot of ‘sides indications’ for items like salads etc, the fish menu was almost completely gone which is such a shame. The gin bar has gone which was a gorgeous touch before, I hope this returns when COVID settles, I noticed the stunning gin and wine glasses have been replaced, and tbh the new gin selection now just feels over-priced. Outdoor service might need a little re-thinking setup wise, I requested a sheltered table knowing the current setup situation outdoors but was seated in a very open area, we asked to change but the new location was equally as exposed, the team did do everything they could and were very helpful, offering blankets etc but I noticed a few other customers having issues with this. Some leaving early and lots asking to switch, just an unfortunate day weather wise, was v sunny but the wind blew directly into the Marquis making it a bit like a wind tunnel. I can say that the Apple and raspberry crumble was great ( fab new addition to the menu) and the staff are as friendly as ever. Hopefully just a few post lockdown teething problems!
Fantastic thank you very much for great hospitality, lovely outside eating area, amazing food - already booked to go back!
Fantastic food / great prices. The 5 Bells have made a Beautiful outside space warm and cosy!
We had a superb dinner with a marvellous service and great atmosphere...cannot wait to return!! Thank you for a fabulous evening.
Good to see you back , excellent all round. Thank you. Will be back in a couple of weeks
Great food, lovely staff and a lot of effort on the garden! Def coming back!!
Great burger and good service
Lovely pub and food in a very nice setting. We'd definitely recommend as well as return. A little unfortunate with COVID reducing the menu and it was quite cool on the day, but we enjoyed it very much.
Limited menu . Friendly staff
Outdoor space very good and plenty warm!
Really lovely pub with excellent food and friendly staff. The outside area has been beautifully done to create a wonderful dining experience whilst being safe (and warm!) Will definitely be going back.
Really nice atmosphere waitress and manager were both brilliant small selection on the menu but we had the pizzas which were amazing
