About The Five Arrows
The Five Arrows prides itself on simple, seasonal and British food. Our warm and welcoming restaurant is the perfect backdrop to enjoy freshly prepared food utilising produce from artisans and vegetables grown on the wider Waddesdon estate.
Absolutely cannot fault this place, been many times and will definitely be returning soon.
My wife and I could find no fault at all with The Five Arrows from the moment we arrived until the moment we left the following day. Lovely comfortable room (No 2) overlooking the rear garden, excellent food and drink, and very attentive staff. What more could one want?
Excellent food and impeccable service. 5 Stars
We arrived at the five arrows for afternoon tea for 4.00pm as booked on-line..the welcome at the door was not warm .. finally we were seated in the restaurant area. I got the feeling that the staff just wanted to go home and we were being a pain booking in at 4pm .the restaurant was tidy and clean .however thought out the course of the afternoon tea we were bothered by flies in the restaurant . The staff missed opportunity to sell more food as we liked some parts of the afternoon tea we would have eaten more
Lovely evening Well done and thanks to the waiters Hope job All with humour
Wonderful casual dining. Fresh food and cordial staff.
A lovely place to stay
Birthday lunch was lovely, service great and ambiance peaceful.
Friendly and welcoming but professional
The quality of the room, food and service was excellent. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
I visited for the first time to have afternoon tea with my mum and Nan,it was a lovely experience. The food and service was exceptional. Will be back soon!
Terrible service left for 20 minutes had to go to bar for drink, 80 minutes later starter arrived dried out bread, which was the wrong starter we ordered then eventually main with cold veg dried out roast potatoes and no gravy!! Really disappointing as has been a good venue in the past, we didn’t charge but we left hungry disappointed and let down
Lovely food in a great setting. Will most definitely be returning.
At many afternoon tea additional sandwiches are offered - this did not happen. The staff were extremely courteous & friendly It was a birthday treat & there was a small cake with a candle which was a lovely touch
Service very slow and it wasn’t very busy generally disappointing didn’t live Upto expectations
Thankyou for making my friends birthday lunch memorable & decorating our table to make it extra special, lovely food & drink & lovely staff as always xxx
The Restaurant is very very poor- long waiting for service, food not good and in general the restaurant is to be avoided.
Everything about the Five Arrows is excellent. Afternoon tea was superb.
Service incredibly slow despite near empty restaurant. Staff charming. Crispy lamb belly for a starter does not work - should be a main.
The food was fantastic although ordered mint tea and the leaves were covered in aphids, sent it back and they came back much the same, complained but the waitress seemed pretty indignant when we suggested we didn't leave the optional 10% service charge she gave us a pretty how dare you look. It was a shame because everything else was perfect
amazing atmosphere, very delicious and beautifully served food, excellent service. We loved everything about this restaurant. Thank you!
We had a lovely meal . The staff are so friendly and it finished off a wonderful day visiting Waddesdon - we hope to revisit the House and your Restaurant very soon
Everything was excellent when my friend and I visited for a midweek lunch but I did feel my fish pie was a little on the expensive side (although it was delicious) whilst my friend's risotto was about right and she enjoyed every mouthful. The drinks prices were very fair. The service was excellent, as one would expect, and even though the restaurant was nearly empty, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the table linen and general cleanliness of the place was first class. We were left to chatter together but the staff were nearby if and when we needed them. A go-to place!
All the staff were friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
First class experience.
