About The Five Alls
To The Five Alls at Filkins Cotswold Inn, a country pub, restaurant with rooms set in the picturesque Cotswold village of Filkins located between the historic towns of Burford and Lechlade on Thames.
With two restaurant areas, a large garden, a cosy alpine style snug with fireplace, a thriving village bar and four pretty double rooms designed by Sebastian’s sister, not to mention a large car park the pub has something to cater to all needs.
Staff friendly and attentive. We enjoy eating there anytime of the week
Lovely we will be back!
Very pleasant and delicious food
The service was amazing, they were polite and attentive and thank you to Alex who really helped us. Everyone loved the food and overall thoroughly enjoyed our visit! I would highly recommend.
This is a lovely welcoming country pub. The food is excellent and the staff are very attentive.
Perfect Sunday roast!!!
Excellent food and service
We have eaten at The Five Alls several times over the past three or four years through a recommendation of friends in our village. This time we introduced three friends to the pub. As ever, the food was excellent, the service friendly and attentive and we'll certainly continue to visit when we can. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves once again!
Fantastic Sunday lunch. It was really busy but the staff were great, friendly and efficient throughout. Lunch was absolutely delicious. Duck two ways was a memorable dish! Can’t wait for my next visit :-)
We were seated in the back room which was perfect for the dog. But we were often forgotten and struggled to get attention. Food was very good thought some pieces of duck were overcooked. Rosti and greens were excellent. Soufflé was excellent. Balsamic vinegar for salad was odd and gelatinous. Sticky toffee was great though toffee sauce too sweet and vanilla ice cream unremarkable. So easy to make homemade.
Disappointing all round ... wouldn’t recommend to my friends and wouldn’t stay there again ... The room was tired, the carpet was dirty & in places black with dirt.It was a noisy room right above the front door. The breakfast was very disappointing ( probably the worst we’ve had).. soggy poached eggs on toast that had hardly been toasted despite asking twice.. it just wasn’t inviting ...we added for croissants but when they arrived they weren’t fresh & very over heated and dried out. The staff were friendly. The area by the fire was lovely and cosy. On departure we weren’t even asked if we’d had a nice time .
Lovely meal - lovely staff. Really enjoyed it - next time I’m having the seafood linguine
We had Christmas dinner at the Five Alls and it was amazing. Couldn't fault the food or the service. We'll definitely be back for Christmas xx
The food as per usual was great. However the service for Christmas lunch was very poor. We waited over an hour after arriving to have our starters, it then took over 30 mins for our table to be cleared for mains, so some were waiting over an hour and a half for food if they didn’t have any starters. This was after we were sat on a ridiculously small table for 12 people and asked to move. This should have been a no brainer for this to be sorted with it being such an important day. We felt extremely let down by all of this for such a special occasion. We have been a number of times before which was what would be expected, Christmas lunch was not good enough.
Great food and service! Over 200 people served in 2 servings we were booked for 2.30 ate about 3pm the food was hot and it was well presented a great lunch from happy efficient staff would definitely go again !
Lovely Christmas lunch. Nice friendly staff and atmosphere. Good food.
Service was slow and not very consistent. It wasnt particularly buy either. Prawn tempura was more like heavily battered scampi and chips. Not as good as it used to be.
Second visit after a memorable birthday lunch earlier this year. Second visit did not disappoint at all. Great food and service and thoroughly enjoyable. Will be coming back soon. Thank you.
A fabulous, delicious meal and venue.
Lovely evening, great food
Excellent all round!
All four of us enjoyed our meals. The only criticism was the side dish of buttered vegetables which was just kale and expensive at £3.95! 2 of us had the stew which came with carrots so didn't need any additional vegetables!
Always a nice place to eat
Really nice lunch, good food.
We really enjoyed every part of our meal! The lady that showed us to our table and dealt with our bill etc was so welcoming and friendly and made the evening really nice, so thank you to her :)
