About The Five Alls
To The Five Alls at Filkins Cotswold Inn, a country pub, restaurant with rooms set in the picturesque Cotswold village of Filkins located between the historic towns of Burford and Lechlade on Thames.
With two restaurant areas, a large garden, a cosy alpine style snug with fireplace, a thriving village bar and four pretty double rooms designed by Sebastian’s sister, not to mention a large car park the pub has something to cater to all needs.
You pay for what you get - quality in abundance! Having eaten here and at the Plough several times the standard is consistently of the highest order. Parking when busy is my only gripe!
The new staff are excellent !
A picture perfect pub in a pretty hamlet. Almost a perfect first visit too - just a small mistake on the bill, soon corrected, which can happen anywhere. The food offer at the Mon-Thur set lunch is small, but between us we had all four starters and mains on offer and enjoyed them all. £19 is a fair price for the quality offered for this 2 course set meal. Coffee was good. Service was friendly and not intrusive. Surroundings excellent, though the car park demands confidence. Loved it though, and will be back.
People’s phones continually binging was annoying.
Fantastic pub with superfriendly service and great food, will be back
A superb dining experience, with exceptional food from a great menu and very good service.
I though the Sunday roasts were exceptional. And our waitress was lovely. I would only ask for a better wine list especially the by the glass wines please
Toilets could do with a bit more cleaning. Table 21 was right on top of the service station where staff put orders in. Front of house were great and very friendly. Food was brilliant. Have booked to come back!
Everything was excellent except that the restaurant was so noisy that we couldn't hear each other speak. As a result, one of our party is unprepared to come to 'The Five Alls' again, which is a great disappintment to me. Unfortunately we experienced the same thing on another occasion, when again the staff made no effort to ask the people concerned to stop shrieking and to speak a little more quietly so that other guests might also enjoy their evening.
Lovely food as usual. Very busy tonight but the staff coped very well
Brilliant place but a little under staffed midweek, nevertheless food and our waitress totally excellent. It will be a pleasure to return.
Another delightful dinner, thank you, and our friends who had not been before loved it !
Had a lovely evening, enjoyed our meal. Will definitely be back.
Just great. Best food in the county.
What a wonderful evening. Service and food impeccable. So wonderfully welcomed. Great wine selection too.
We have just had a wonderful weekend away at the Five Alls. What a lovely place to spend some time. Lovely team of friendly staff, and the food was outstanding. Every meal was so delicious and excellent wine list. Quirky large rooms, but what a great atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, thank you all for making it a weekend to remember.
We had friends from Australia with us. The staff were very busy and we had to ask a couple of times for menu/ drinks. I ordered a main dish of scallop salad expecting at least 4 scallops. Instead I received a very large salad with what looked like 1 scallop cut into 4 pieces! Very costly salad at £18 !! Feel the Five Alls is not what it was🙁
We moved into the village yesterday and after a tiring day with unpacking boxes etc we wandered down through this delightful village to our now 'local '. A warm welcome awaited us, the food was excellent, on a par with many high end London restaurants, with an excellent wine list and attentive smiling waitresses. Can't wait to go back ...tomorrow!
What a wonderful village pub, with loads of friendly atmosphere, and a menu that is varied, really interesting combinations ... and delicious
Was a bit disappointing to be told we had to leave our table by 7.45 but apart from that we both had a great night and the food was excellent!
Some disappointing aspects of food, oily bruschetta, oily roast potatoes, saute potatoes not sautéed enough and poor mixed veg with otherwise very nice lamb rump. Sea bream and meat pie very good and very tasty devilled kidneys (had as a starter). Just iced tap water would have been ok, not a bottle at £4.95! Overall very nice with just the above details requiring a tweak.
Another wonderful evening for 7 of us, thank you. The speed of service and quality of food was outstanding, particularly as you had a very full house !
Friendly, attentive service
Lovely location and beautiful interior
