About The Five Alls
To The Five Alls at Filkins Cotswold Inn, a country pub, restaurant with rooms set in the picturesque Cotswold village of Filkins located between the historic towns of Burford and Lechlade on Thames.
With two restaurant areas, a large garden, a cosy alpine style snug with fireplace, a thriving village bar and four pretty double rooms designed by Sebastian’s sister, not to mention a large car park the pub has something to cater to all needs.
Great lunch, lovely staff
Had a lovely lunch. Food and service as always good. Have booked for another evening when they open inside.
Superb Sunday lunch. Friendly service. Excellent pint. Will definitely return. Thank-you!
Lovely evening with our son and daughter-in-law who we had not seen for 9 months! Everything was fantastic. Thank you
Good food and perfect service
Great evening , a lot of thought had been given to make the experience lovely . The garden looked great , care had been taken to make the evening special with cushions, blankets, music and wonderful open fires -really was a perfect evening . Staff were great 😊
Ordered 4 roasts all of which came out cold and without roast potatoes , sent them back & when they came out again the plates were hot but the food only marginally warmer. However my husband had no cauliflower cheese or carrots, I had 3 peas, my daughter had approx a teaspoon of peas and my sons beef was dried up. We had to ask for cutlery and napkins and the staff started clearing the chairs and cushions away at 3.45. We overheard another table complaining about the food but there was no sign of a manager or owner only 3/4 young waiting staff who really didn’t seem bothered. After being closed for months and on a lovely sunny afternoon I would of expected everything to be exceptional and for the bar to at least remain open. Also how does a professional chef run out of peas?! Can only say we were disappointed
Went for lunch with my wife after months of lockdown and we really enjoyed both food and service. We wish you all the best as things reopen.
We love coming to the Five Alls! Today we brought our family who loved the food and cotswold-ness of the pub. Very efficient service and the roasts were delightful! The Covid precautions were well advertised and followed by all
Lovely food. Friendly service.
Fabulous food and setting outside with much needed heating provided. Excellent main dishes and lots of variety. Would heartily recommend
What a wonderful experience we had today at the Five Alls. A beautifully secluded garden, decked out sumptuously with cushions & blankets on the seats; a lovely cosmopolitan atmosphere with cool music playing in the background; and lastly, just amazing food - the flavours were immense! Thank you so much - we’ll be visiting again very soon.
Great food and service.
I think the restaurant “ extension” lacks atmosphere and is in need of redesigning
Lovely meal served by polite and friendly people
Had a lovely meal, in a lovely homely atmosphere. Felt very welcome and safe, even in these COVID times . Thank you 🙂
We had an excellent lunch, top cooking. Friendly and efficient service. Thankyou.
Excellent meal and service Could not fault anything And the doors to the loos are very novel ( look like bookcases) Will be going again
Food and service was very good. Unfortunately lacking in atmosphere due to no one else in restaurant!
Lunch today was disappointing- perhaps midweek is not best. The vegetarian option, pumpkin/chestnut gnocchi/kale sounded great but was bland and burnt. Almond and pear tart: bog-standard Bakewell, again, lacking flavour and pastry bottom scorched. Wines were fine. Service O.K. Shame.
We arrived and the lights were all off! Pub looked completely closed. No communication from the restaurant to say they were open. No answer to our phone calls. Really like this pub but incredibly unimpressed as had booked a table in November and no notices online or prior contact with the restaurant to let us know not open.
We booked lunch for Tues 15th Dec at noon, a week ago, to celebrate my husbands birthday. We arrived, having got ready for a nice day out and the pub was in darkness. Waited 10mins and called twice, nothing. Totally ruined our day, and our break away. Extremely disappointed doesn't even cut it. No one's even tried to ring back since and apologise.
Never got to try the pub or it’s food - it was locked up with no one inside and not answering the phone. Will try another time as we hear the food is very good
Lovely to return and once again experience the wonderful food. Always highly recommended.
