The starter and lamb meal you provided on Mother’s Day was top notch! There was the perfect amount of food, we left full and satisfied. The service was excellent too! Great job all round. Thanks for providing a very enjoyable Mother’s Day for us all.
The country feel with the Bistro vege garden in full sight creates a very relaxing atmosphere, supported by committed staff and really healthy and creative dishes.
The food and everything else was just superb! This made Mother’s Day even more special. Thank you.🤗
Staff couldn’t be better. A great choice for us.
Fantastic local gem using local fresh seasonal produce. Great vibe, lovely staff!
We had a lovely dinner here with friends, everything was great. Love the atmosphere and food was delish. Thanks a lot
Amazing breakfast and the most relaxing situ. Everyone needs to dine here.
Lovely evening. Fab food & great service.
Absolutely outstanding dinner once again TFD, every week it never disappoints. Great winelist to complement the sensational food. So lucky to have this as our local. Thank you Kate & Hamish. See you next week.
Had the best time / meal here, loved it. Fantastic fresh and delicious food!
What to say, picturesque location, good coffee, good music... Perfect place to grab a coffee to go, enjoy a relaxing brunch (the smashed avo was to die for), or simply chat over a wine with buddys. Thanks, again for a super meal, we’ll be back!
Experience was rather shambolic. Long wait for food (approx 45 mins after ordering). Waitress not familiar with menu - e.g. did not know what type of fish it was; told us the ratatouille did not come with anything, so we ordered sourdough bread - only to find the ratatouille came with sourdough bread! Roast potatoes undercooked (hard inside). We informed the waitress and were told they would be taken off the bill, which was great - except that they weren’t taken off the bill. Bill not itemised. One person was served about 20 mins before everyone else. Great location and great potential but we won’t be coming back.
We had a lovely lunch with great friends. The table we were originally allocated was a bit cold & windy, so Farmers Daughter kindly found us a new table inside looking over the view which was wonderful. The food was amazing, everyone tried something that they wouldn't normally have. A great day out!!!!
Great venue. Tasty food, good size servings
Amazing fresh food presented amazing
Initial waiter way out of his depth. Wine price list is easily misread and bottle prices exorbitant. Food fine but side dishes additional making for an expensive meal.
Lovely lunch and great service
Very enjoyable lunch, lovely food, excellent service. Thanks so much!
Great lunch venue in garden setting, delicious fresh food and friendly service
Nice setting & food, disappointing that some food and drink items from the menu were not available (waiters didn’t tell us when we sat down with menus). Toilets were also in terrible condition and extremely unclean, despite it being 1230 on a Sat lunch service. Therefore, wouldn’t recommend to a friend in a hurry.
Great breakfast. Lovely food and beautiful outlook.❤️
We love this place from day 1. If I have a gripe and its probably a small one, it takes just too much time for the initial drinks and the ordered meal to arrive. I say that being there early when almost no-one else around and during lunch time when most orders of other guests appear satisfied. Perhaps its the Aucklander in me that I need just to relax into Omaha time. xx
We really enjoyed our visit. From the moment we arrived till we left we felt well cared for, enjoyed the friendly service and the food was excellent! Having the play area is a real bonus too.. our guests were able to bring their children and have a good time too. Keep on doing what you’re doing!
We had high expectations of this establishment as we had visited last summer. The girl who served us was rude and patronising. Big drinks menu but a lot of basic items were unavailable. They were not well stocked even though it was their first day of trading for the week. The handcut chips were dry and stale and tasted like chips heated from the week before. The bottled cold drinks we ordered at the same time came out separately with a major wait between them which was odd as they came from the same fridge. Most of our mains were fine though. The kids were still hungry afterwards as they couldn't eat their chips so we had to go up the road to supplement their appetites and we had a very nice experience there. Such a shame as this place has so much potential. Hopefully they were having a bad day and do not continue like this.
We’ve been to TFD last year and food was outstanding, hence we made the trip again to celebrate grandmothers birthday. Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment - service was very poor, there were only 6 items available on menu (as they’ve run out of most stuff) and the quality of the food was below average for the price we paid. We won’t be back again!
