About The Falcon
The Falcon is a historic building, originally established in the 17 th Century as a Coaching Inn. It has until present day retained its original function, providing visitors with food, drink and somewhere to rest.
On the 1st Sept 2017 new management ‘The Falcon Bridgnorth Ltd’ took the reigns of this beautiful building and embarked on a ten week major renovation program before re-opening mid November.
The successful completion of phase 1 of the refurbishment project saw the redevelopment and transformation of the ground floor restaurant and bar area into a luxurious space, which retained many traditional features such as the original parquet flooring. A welcoming, laid back atmosphere has been created, offering casual drinks, fine dining and lunch time gatherings.Good quality food and guest satisfaction were the two defining elements when designing our restaurant. We have provided the perfect place to come for relaxed lunches, social occasions or fine dining.
The Falcon offers locally sourced, freshly prepared wholesome food served with a flair, in a beautiful setting.
We were greeted by the maitre d’ as I happened to be on crutches and he spotted us coming through the door. He also helped me when leaving with the doors. The service from both bar staff and restaurant staff was excellent they were attentive polite and went that extra mile. The food was extremely tasty, hot and plentiful with plenty of choice. I will definitely be returning and will recommend to family and friends thank you
Used a Groupon voucher so was excellent value!!
Lovely hotel ....great good ..excellent service ...
Very impressed with everything. Will definitely visit again and recommend to friends and family.
Lovely afternoon tea, love the way it isn’t the same every time you go, great variety of sandwiches, and the lemon posset was the star of the show, highly recommend
Excellent service, highly recommended
Fantastic afternoon spent celebrating my sister's baby shower. Food was amazing and staff went above and beyond - couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommend - we will be back!
Came with my mum for afternoon tea. A lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes and well presented. Could not fault it. The waitress was so friendly and polite. Would come here again
My friend and I enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea at the Falcon hotel. Lovely surroundings, will be definitely going back for lunch next time! The ladies that were on looked after us well
All the staff are friendly and very helpful, they made our visit very enjoyable.
Really impressed by the lunch menu - it ws just right for our group
Delicious food and happy and efficient staff. Excellence all bundled into one! Thank you
Kids running around screaming but not really hoteliers' fault. Would have been better if they'd seated one of us in a separate room
We came for afternoon tea and were impressed with the quality of the food and service. We will come again.
Waiter was very friendly, helpful and efficient. Lovely place and atmosphere. Good value for money on afternoon tea! Thank you
My daughter and I had a lovely afternoon tea there yesterday , beautiful presented sandwiches and cakes. which we both enjoyed. Wonderland service , we could not fault it. We will definitely be going back again
we celebrated our wedding anniversary here on a quiet Monday night. Excellent service from start to finish. Excellent quality food and good value wine.
We had a fantastic afternoon tea and would highly recommend The Falcon.
This was our first visit. The restaurant was full and busy. For all of the meal, all of the meat was grossly over cooked. Two of us had pigeon to start, the portions were so small that they were laughable, and what pigeon there was, it had been either incinerated or been too long under heated lights. For mains two of us had duck and I had the pork. Again the same complaint over cooked. My pork tender loin had "silvered" and the edges crisped. When I told the waiter and waitress that the food was poor I might as well of saved my breath, they neither acknowleged my comments nor made comment themselves. Very disappointed and felt that the"chef" had let the restaurant down very badly, because the ambience and decor of the place itself was good.
Great food, great staff & a lovely environment, but the drinks, particularly the bottled wines are too expensive in my view, which takes the edge off the experience.
The afternoon tea was really good, especially the sandwiches, could have had more of them, as needed more savoury. The service was extremely good and we were made to feel really welcome.
Pleasant afternoon tea but service was quite slow.No milk brought with pot of tea which was then cold by the time the milk arrived. Glasses of Prosecco served were of differing sizes. Why not just pour a full glass?? Hotel decor was lovely and the fixed price lunch menu looked good which we hope to return to try.
We're going to come back!
What a lovely place, couldn't fault it.
