About The Erskine Arms
'The Erskine Arms’ is a traditional pub serving a locally sourced menu of homemade fresh dishes. The bar will have an array of great local Welsh ales, quality wines and soft drinks. We also like to stock the usual and sometimes not so usual selection of whiskies, gins, rums and other tipples.
We had a delicious meal here. Everyone was happy with their choices. I had the vegan option, a sweet potato and courgette curry, which was gorgeous.
Please see my TripAdvisor review to be published week commencing 20/08/18, it reflects the ratings given above for all four of my visits in a two week period.
Very relaxed atmosphere everything ran like clockwork from checking in to leaving. Very comfortable room & cleaned to a high standard. Good choice of food & there were no faults to be found with all six of our meals. Brilliant service & would definitely return.
Brilliant staff, friendly and helpful especially Sara who went out of her way to make sure everyone was catered for
We had been looking forward to our 2 night stay since booking early May and we have not been disappointed. We had a very warm welcome on our arrival on Tuesday afternoon, as well as being able to park our car directly opposite the main entrance, that I must admit was a real bonus. Our room (Tryfan - no 23) was well appointed with a very cosy king size bed, nice bathroom and excellent shower. All our meals (breakfast & dinner on both days) were excellent together with very good service. Also, throughout our stay the staff were were mostly very accommodating and friendly that made our stay that much more enjoyable. Will we return - most definitely. Will we recommend to friends / family - most definitely. Thank you & regards, Barrie & Gail
Great meal as always. Always make a point of stopping here for a meal when I am working in the area.
Very friendly and welcoming! Immaculate, updated, and comfortable.
Great meal, very friendly staff. Will be back soon
I have visited The Erskine on many occasions with family and friends. We alway find a very friendly welcome and of course lovely food and wine. I am very pleased to say after being there on Monday am lucky enough to be going again on Sunday!! Alway look forward to it and the online booking and reminders are very good.
As usual good food & drinks with pleasant service & vibrant atmosphere.
Been to the Erskine many times with my local group of friends never had any problems...but this weekend had family down to stay so booked table... Really disappointed in the food not as good as normal...steaks not cooked to what was requested and no atmosphere upstairs area...as I booked on line it didn't give me a choice for which area I would have liked to sit if possible. 3peole came to look at the steaks and agreed wasn't ok but only got one glass wine taken off bill. Very disappointed.
Just arrived home after an excellent two night stay at the Erskine Arms. Room was great with lovely decor, well worth the price. Breakfast both mornings was lovely with a choice of cereals and hot breakfast including eggs benedict which were excellent. Staff were attentive and friendly throughout our stay. Also enjoyed a fantastic evening meal but be aware it is essential that you book as it’s an extremely busy pub. We will visit again very soon
Staff fantastic & very welcoming lovely little place to stop
Great place lovely helpful staff good clean rooms ideal base for exploring can’t fault the food, would definitely stay again
Pleasant hotel,in the Main Street. Excellent servIce, very nice food at a reasonable price.
This is becoming a weekly review. As always first Class food and service
Service was poor waited 15 minutes for water for my grandaughter. Chips were bad really overcooked and batter was very greasy . Will not be going again.
Superb Sunday Roast. Would definitely eat here again. I mentioned when booking that my husband suffered from a food allergy and on arrival he was presented with a menu showing which dishes he could safely eat. We have very rarely received such excellent service with regard to this matter at other restaurants. Well done to all concerned this made ordering our food much less of an ordeal.
Fabulous food as always
Waitresses very friendly
Everything was excellent as always, we are regular customers at The Erskine Arms and already looking forward to our next visit 😊
Very good meal and service
Gorgeous food yet again. Never disappoints.
We booked a table for three because 'The Erskine Arms' advertised themselves as a dog friendly pub. When we arrived we were informed that dogs were only allowed in the snug, which was full. We had to leave, and find somewhere else to eat. This wasn't easy on a Sunday during the summer holidays. A very disappointing experience.
Regular visitor, as always excellent food and selection of beers and spirits. First Class Service and gre atmosphere
