About The Eddison Restaurant
The Eddison is an elegant restaurant inspired by Ireland’s world class food producers. With a contemporary design, the restaurant is bright and airy with an outdoor terrace on either side. Open seven days a week, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, brunch on Saturday and Sunday Lunch.
Each month The Eddison’s kitchen larder is re-stocked with the freshest, in-season vegetables, fish & meat from our favourite local suppliers. From the larder, the menus are designed monthly, ensuring our creative dishes are only stocked with the most prime ingredients of the season.
We strive to provide a welcoming and elegant service in a timeless setting intended to make you feel at ease.
MISS EDITH ANNIE EDDISON
~ OUR PATRON ~
Miss Eddison was Matron for the Royal City of Dublin Hospital from 1909 - 1917. During this time she lived here, in the former nurses home.
She was Matron in charge during the 1916 Rising. During this time a constant stream of wounded soldiers, civilians and rebels was brought to the hospital and they were cared for by the nurses under her leadership, working day and night at great personal risk.
Miss Eddison, patron for our restaurant at Dylan Hotel.
Hi there, we had afternoon tea with you. Service was great, we had a Spanish (I think) waitress, restaurant/ atmosphere was nice Sandwiches were ok, we didn’t like desserts, Scones were nice but would have expected more than 1 each for 45 euros per head as they were small Overall we had a nice time but for what we got I think 30 quid is probably the right price point
There was a draft coming through the window even though it was closed . Everything else great besides this.
Very good food. Will be back for sure
Food fab. Lighting terrible !
We were celebrating a significant birthday at the Dylan and must admit we were a bit disappointed. The atmosphere was quite lacking, and while the staff were incredibly friendly, we always had to signal to get attention, sometimes more than once for one request. The food was delicious but we weren't informed one item was not available until placing the order. Overall, while we had an enjoyable evening, wouldn't recommend
The staff were so kind and helpful!! Everything was absolutely wonderful!!
While the service was elegant the welcome was luke warm. We were the only two in the restaurant besides a few staff and managers. We may as well have been invisible except for the person serving us and that was very averagel. However the food was good. Have visited the Eddison restaurant on a number of occasions particularly around mothers day although I love the surroundings the last visit there wasn't much better. Don't think 'll be recommending or returning any time soon. Pity as I have often spoke highly of the rest in the Dylan Boutique Hotel to others that dine out in the area and like that type of surroundings.
Booked afternoon tea & had requested a few things beforehand, however, the requests had been forgotten about when we arrived. Had also advised it was a special occasion and the girl I booked it with said she would arrange something for it - never happened. Place was pretty empty but decor was very nice. Felt I paid an awful lot more than what I got - the afternoon tea was small enough in comparison to many other hotels I have frequented. The food was nice but nothing special and the same condiments were used for a couple of sandwiches so they certainly didnt feel curated. I wouldn't book again.
Lovely venue and great food and service!
Great staff beautiful room wonderful food
Beautiful food, excellent presentation and lovely atmosphere.
Dinner at The Eddison was absolutely delicious, delicate flavours using only fresh seasonal ingredients, we had a stunning meal. I love the new restaurant decor its fresh and bright. The service was excellent and attentive. We had an after dinner cocktail in the Nurserie Terrace which is a great spot either for a date night or with a group of friends. We can't wait to return.
On a Saturday night it was very disappointing that as a couple out for an evening the restaurant was empty except for a table of 8 and 4 which meant there was no atmosphere in the restaurant which to be fair was a nice room and nice external area. Food was average and didn’t live up to the write up in the Irish TIMES. I will try again but work to be done Staff were. Great but bored
Enjoyable catch-up meal with great company
Party of 9 pre booked well in advance. First 2 wine choices out of stock (cost cutting?) told that preparing a 18mm thick filet to MW was going to take an extra 25-35 minutes. (This was really poor because it is absolutely incorrect) when food arrived it it was not complete with a carrot Wellington missing. It was slightly over an an hour from order to mains arriving which is too long. Several left before ordering desert. For the price it was absolutely not a good experience and we shall not return.
