About The Duke's Head
It goes without saying that our food is as local as possible - from the back door out. We provide our diners with food prepared by chefs who really care, who really know what they're doing.
Creating traditional British food with a contemporary edge is what it's all about; but you'll get nothing bland and teeny portions here. It's filling wholesome food cooked by proper chefs.
A daily changing specials board compliments the seasons, shows off the team's skills and yet is full of recognisable classics.

Fabulous food. The roast beef was perfect. Great service.
Excellent Sunday afternoon lunch, great staff and atmosphere. Can't wait to visit again 😊
Lovely friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere, delicious food! Very happy family occasion!
Great food as ever and very good service too. Our waitress was excellent.
Always a high standard here.
As always an excellent Sunday lunch
Main meal was lovely. Dessert crumble was very tart for me. Service was great
Staff were very friendly. Food was good. Definitely recommend and will be going back.
Warm and welcoming. Lovely food.
A lovely pub and mostly good food. Only issue was that the promised crackling on the roast pork wasn’t cooked nearly enough so inedible as it was just squishy fat. This is normally the best bit of a roast pork so that was a shame. Fish and chips delicious and portion sizes great though! Servers were polite but very busy which meant they couldn’t be as friendly as they probably would have wanted. I got the feeling they were a little ‘harassed’ at times, particularly the petite, very slim lady with a blonde shoulder length haircut. Maybe a couple of extra staff on a busy Sunday lunch service would have helped!
Really good pub & food! Thoroughly enjoyed our lazy lunch/afternoon.
One of our party who is disabled was given wrong information about access and so chose not to come which was very disappointing particularly as I had been told correctly earlier that it would be suitable. On looking at the bill that evening we saw that we had been charged £18.95 for a small glass of white "house" wine.
Excellent food and drink and service. Very pleasant staff and our food was beautifully cooked. We will definitely return. A cut above the usual pub lunch.
Food was delicious. Especially that they made gluten free fish and chips without the batter for me. Was amazing. Staff very friendly, patient and helpful.
because we live near Windsor we only use as a halfway point to meet friends over that side. However we are always welcomed and remembered along with our dog. A warm welcome is always insured and the daily specials always a treat. we will be back as soon as we can
Excellent!
Lovely food, nice pub, great staff
Staff and food outstanding and thanks for making my Daughters 21st birthday celebrations a night to remember.
We had a lovely, relaxed dinner with warm, friendly service. The food was very nice especially the desserts which had local produce (including beautiful ice cream). We also had our dog with us who was more than welcome. We would definitely return.
Lovely pub with a great Sunday lunch.
Missed the cauliflower cheese not being in the menu
Superb food and excellent service for all the staff. Will eat here again soon!
Fabulous food and a smart selection of wine. The atmosphere is lovely and the service is very professional if slightly slow when they are busy.
Good atmosphere and excellent food. We have eaten a number of times at the Dukes Head and have never been disappointed.
First visit and thought it was lovely. Small menu but something for everyone and the meal I chose was lovely, tasty and a nice sized portion. Price was OK. Staff appeared to be very busy and perhaps could have had more but apart from that it was a very nice experience. If I lived nearer would definitely visit more frequently in the future.
