Pub and Dining Room
Love this place! Beautiful looking food that more than delivers in taste, so delicious. Attentive, knowledgable service, our waiter was happy to advise us on his recommendations. Everyone in our party was so happy with their food. Atmosphere is great. Can’t wait to come back!
We had a great time here. Staff were super friendly and accommodating to our large group of 13 with many different requests. Food was excellent- we had the suckling pig for the table. Would highly recommend for a large group or anything else!
Your staff are a credit to you - fantastic friendly service even when they were clearly under pressure (no card machine, no power cuts) nothing was too much trouble, food great and well priced - if I had to make one suggestion to make it outstanding was in time to educate staff in a little bit of wine knowledge - not expecting them to be experts but when we asked on two occasions what particular wines were like - they replied 'lovely' - not to be critical of them but it would be the icing on the cake - it's fantastic to have such a lovely local - we have been twice in quick succession and will return on a regular basis - thank you
I get you guys have to feed the social media beast too, but there seemed to be a real focus on that the other night while we were attempting dinner, which doesn't help the atmosphere in the real world (your dining room).
Quick, friendly service.
Ok. Decent gastro pub food. Great desserts but the overall experience was nothing special.
Felt very ‘neighbourhood’ - a good find
Roast beef was not cooked well and nothing like the picture posted to Facebook on 23rd Sept. Service was poor and feedback was not well received.
Wonderful birthday night out with family ! Brilliant waiter in his first night ! Did superb job. Small observation that some acoustic panelling on the ceiling might dampen the noise levels a bit - well I am an architect and would say that ! Thanks
Great evening good food lovely environment Options for vegetarians a bit limited especially for mains Service a little haphazard but happy and smiling and helpful Good value overall
Loved the burger, in a lovely place
Party of 12 for the suckling pig- really well looked after from the initial enquiry through to the pud. Not all restaurants deal well with larger bookings, but we were welcomed and very well fed. The pig is the star of the meal, but both the assorted, and generous starters and puddings/ cheese were excellent. Thank you for giving us such a great evening
Great great meal. We’ll be back!
Food was very tasty, and service/atmosphere was good.
Meat was cooked nicely, could tell it was high quality. The potatoes were the best roast potatoes I've ever had in a pub.
Good food, win and cocktails. Great local addition and a big improvement on the old Richmond.
The pub is a little out of the way from the usual places I go in the East End, but it was worth the trip for the food which was all excellent and generously portioned. We tried the Sunday roast and the grouse and were very happy with both.
We loved our meal. There was a mix up with our cocktails and they took longer to arrive but the manager came over and confirmed that they would be on the house
The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. We had the suckling pig for 16 of us, it was delicious. We had a truly memorable night in a great new local - that will also now be a regular.
Amazing food but amateur service. Visited for Sunday lunch on a quiet afternoon. Everything we ordered was delicious and a really great pub lunch. The service was terrible, ignored on arrival, waited 15 minutes for tap water, wine arrived but had to chase twice for glasses, incorrect food turned up, despite requesting gravy on 3 separate occasions it never arrived. Staff were pleasant but totally out of their depth. Really simple basics but just not what you expect when paying £16 for a main plus service charge. Disappointed
There was some confusion over our table as it was given to someone else and the waiter was quite gruff about ie no apology and made us feel quite bad for questioning him. I think there needs to be more vegetables with the Sunday roast and it feels a bit of a con to have to buy side veg to go with it ( corn on the cob is really hard to eat with a knife and fork plus there was hardly any of it or green beans for the amount of money charged). My partner who had the roast beef said it was good but way too much ie less meat and more veg needed. My vegetarian option was tasty but hardly any veg as I’ve said. We both felt there was also only a tiny smidge of gravy again very odd. The woman who was our waitress was lovely We will definitely try it mid week to see if things are different.
Pleasant decor, classy without trying to be posh, and the food was a bit special.
What a lovely place. Friendly staff, good wine list and really excellent food. I had the raost cod, which was delicious, and my husband had the shoulder of pork, which was also excellent, moist and very tasty, and with fabulos cracking. Will definately be going back.
Hi, well what a brilliant experience all round! It's a pub you can simply stroll into and then suddenly BOOM! some of the best food I've ever eaten, at prices actually LOWER than the other locals. Very accessible gourmet dining and the service was great, OH and the music was sensational!! We'll be back.
We thought the food and service were excellent and it was particularly pleasing that you are so dog friendly as few places in London welcome dogs.I'd love to help by giving some constructive criticism but we couldn't find fault. We will be back!
