Druid is currently my favourite pub. Pleased that dogs are allowed in now and that offers are often available which makes dining out more affordable - and therefore frequent! Staff always friendly and welcoming and food is good quality.
Childrens chicken nuggets where not cooked through and had to go back (good job I cut them in half or wouldn't of seen it and could of made our 6yr and 3yr old ill) when food did come out properly is was very good but it took along time for food to be served. Staff did Appoligies for the chicken nuggets and where friendly and polite.
had a lovely time thank you very much!!!
Lovely meal and excellent service
The food itself was tasty & very nicely cooked. Sadly the staff seemed to forget that the Customer is the only reason they are there, and in a completely empty half of the restaurant, bar our table of 5, we found ourself waiting an overly long time for our mains, and regularly having to get up from our table to go and find anyone to just take further drink orders. Enjoyable food, if a tad pricey for what it was, but felt somewhat forgotten throughout the meal.
Very friendly staff. Good quick service.
Service was very good. The food was top notch, clearly all ingredients were very fresh and of a high quality.
Pleasantly surprised as not been for years. The food was lovely and great value for money. Excellent service too. The decking area is great as non-smoking. Definitely won't be long until our next visit.
Excellent service and food
Visited 12/04/19, party of four. Food was really nice, reasonable prices. However the service was sooooo slow. When we asked if there was a problem in the kitchen, we were told that "lots of people had ordered steak which takes a lot of time to cook" - really ?! (8 mins medium rare ?). Waited 40 mins for mains and another 30-40 for desserts. My pepper sauce came 10 mins after my steak was served, (3rd time of asking). Also waited 10 mins at bar to get served. Only saw four other tables occupied. We will be back if/when we hear the service has improved.
Food was amazing!
My friends and I ate here on a weekday evening and it was very quiet. The food and service were both excellent ... we will definitely be returning
Nice setting. Food tasted ok. But 7 out of 8 of us were sick within 6 hours and poorly the following day. 2 separate families. Including young children. Seems a bit of a coincidence? I do wonder if there is some sort of contamination going on in the kitchen.
Had lunch this time but we are regular visitors to the Druid and we always have lovely meals and excellent service. Thank you so much and see you very soon! X
Great service in a nice setting .

Lovely evening out, good food and good customer service thank you 😁
We were VERY disappointed, having booked a table of 4 for 5.30pm giving what we thought was plenty of time to get to Theatre Clwyd for a 7.30pm performance. At no time were we told there was any delay, we ordered olives & bread, garlic bread and pigs in blankets to start. The warm bread was cold and sent back. By 6.55pm the main course had not arrived! As we were running out of time and not wanting indigestion we decided to leave, hungry and disappointed. The staff were apologetic but badly trained and I think thoroughly let down by the management, there did not appear to be anyone in charge. As we settled up for the drinks and food we had, there was no offer of any discount for spoiling our evening, we were given some vouchers which were being given to everyone and which not wishing to risk having another evening spoiled we will never use.
Service was extremely slow - told there was only one chef and two waitresses on despite there obviously being a number of bookings. We booked for 5.30 but arrived early yet did not have time for a dessert or coffee before we had to leave at 7.10 and to cap it all, somehow, the bill for our table and the adjacent table was merged into one and given to us. Then took 10 minutes to sort out manually because the waitress did not know how to do it on the till. Definitely not up to normal standards.
