The main bar will have live entertainment from Wednesday to Saturday evenings including local talent such as El Dude Brothers, and will be well equipped with indoor, outdoor and drop-down screens to cater for sports fans.
A secret snug bar called Telephone is also to be found, catering for up to 30 people with specialised cocktails championed by the venue’s own mixologist.
Really friendly staff, nice atmosphere and great food. First time in the Doyen but would definitely return.
This place could not have been more accommodating! We were there for my daughters graduation and had a 1st class meal, service was prompt and friendly, the food was excellent. Five star recommendation!!
Service was awful
I took my friends who were on holidays in NI over for lunch yesterday. My two kids loved the entertainment and we all had a great time. One of my friends and i, we both ordered the lamb. Just before we were expecting our main course we were told that only one portion of lamb was available. This was at 1.30pm and I think to run out at such an early time is poor. Anyway I ordered the beef instead...unfortunately it was a wee bit dry and nowhere near as good as my friends lamb. To make up for this I would have expected some sort of gesture. We also ordered water for the table twice with two different service staff but it never arrived. When I went to settle the bill I stood beside a lady who also had the same issue with the ordered lamb as we but choose to make a big fuss. When I mentioned the issue i got no reaction from the staff and as i was in company i didn’t want to start a big complaint and made my friends feel uncomfortable. Unfortunately this has shown that unless u do make a big fuss u get nothing. Anyhow....most important to this visit....both of my friends enjoyed their meal.
Perfect venue for a large party booking of 20. Food and service all excellent.
Big thank you to Andrew and Barry for all the organising. Everything was perfect and ran so smoothly on the night. The room set up was beautiful as was the food. Highly recommended we had a great time.
This was our second recent trip back here and it was great on both occasions. Lovely stylish restaurant, prompt no attentive staff , generous portions and really great food. We will be back .
I had booked a table for 8 people but then 3 more who had said that they were not coming turned up and the staff were very accommodating and I am grateful for that. I've been to Doyen a few times now and will return! Thanks
Staff always attentive and courteous great meal and definitely value for money.
We had a beautiful meal here on Saturday night. The beer battered scampi was delicious. Good was piping hot and the restaurant is beautiful. We will definitely be returning soon. Thank-you doyen
I had booked lunch for about 18 persons & were very pleasantly surprised when we were provided with a'private' room. Bar facilities were available & inspite of the large number, the food order was taken & food served promptly and courteously. The service and the food could not have been better & I would recommend the Doyen for lunch.
Since the refurbishment of the now 'Doyen' my husband and myself have been regulars. Looked after by excellent staff such as 'Tom, Grace, Emily and the outstanding Deborah'. I am very often eating alone in the cafe and Deborah makes me feel so welcome and included. As she no doubt does for other patrons.
If you are looking for a location for a private party- The Doyen is perfect! The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The room was beautiful. The food was delicious-the sausage rolls are something else. Honestly, hats off to all the staff at The Doyen-lovely staff, lovely venue, lovely food.
Food excellent, staff very friendly will definitely be back
Excellent staff, friendly and very helpful.. Food is really nice and great atmosphere Would highly recommend The Doyen.
The staff were excellent, very pleasant and helpful.
Excellent service, very professional & accommodating of a few changes made by some of the party
Excellent variety on the menu and a good wine list. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The attractive environment would be greatly improved by a better choice of soundtrack. When the lights are low you want a bit of laid back blues, or piano jazz, or moody sax not greatest hits from 2001. Music creates a mood and I’m inclined to linger, have a cocktail or two if the music is right.
Food was good and the wine too, but it was very cold in the restaurant, had to keep my coat on. Just wanted to get home for some heat after the meal, so didn’t stay on for some drinks as planned. So was disappointed (as we had a sitter for the kids).
Great entertainment for kids!!! Would definitely recommend for a family get together!
Waitress was exceptional and was very good with two lively kids.
Had dinner in Morso food was outstanding. Chose to eat from the 2 courses for £15,brilliant value though could have been a better choice. Excellent service will definitely be back
Had a great evening in The Doyen.... Food was Great, Cocktails Super and Staff FAB !! Thank you
