About The Double Red Duke
The Double Red Duke is a seventeenth-century Cotswold stone coaching inn close to Oxford and only minutes away from William Morris's Kelmscott, the village where the famous designer and founding figure of the Arts & Crafts Movement lived. Sit by one of its many fires in winter or in the stunning gardens in summer, eat, drink and stay in one of its 19 beautiful bedrooms and walk some of the most idyllic countryside around. We seek out the very best suppliers. Often we’ve worked with them for years but some are new but the rule is that we try to find the best. Our menus change with the seasons and we offer daily specials. At the Double Red Duke, our chefs will be cooking over the fire, think glowing embers, and whole suckling pigs for parties.
Very impressive first night!
Superb food and very well looked after by the team. Beth and Georgie were brilliant. See you again soon.
All great. Thank you. Bins need moving from the front of the building though. They were spilling over onto drive as you walk in.
We had a very delicious supper at the Double Red Duke, the perfect way to celebrate emerging out of Lockdown and 40'th birthdays. The food and wine were delicious, so good in fact we had to order a second round of the Apple Glazed Bacon Ribs! A wonderful achievement by all involved, we will be back!
