Very nice location, very good food and an attentive waitress!
Fantastic setting, wonderful food
We had a lovely window seat , staff were friendly and really nice and it was like private dining as we got there early we were the only one's . We will definitely be coming again
Lovely staff, my burger was taken back as it had sauce on and they brought me out an even bigger one, amazing & extremely yummy!
Lively venue staff and food. Very disappointed as when booking the afternoon tea for 2 price was £17 shown in email and posters in the toilets when I questioned the price of £19..90 I was told the menu had changed on the day of reservation so that price was no longer valid. Would of been nice to know before I had the bill
Service was a little slow waited an hour for our main meal, yes it was a graduation day but the restaurant was not full. This is the second time i have been to the Dome tjis yezr both times servicd has been slow. Also I was almost charged for a meal that we didn't have. Enjoyed the food and surroundings but staff need to be a little more attentive.
Pre graduation lunch and it was lovely
We had a lovely graduation lunch and felt very looked after by the staff. Great view out to sea as we are too.
Lovely occasion followed by a lovely meal
After being seated we were ignored for 20 minutes and had to ask for our order to be taken, followed by an hour wait for our afternoon tea. People on the table next to us complained three times due to the same treatment especially since it was a very quiet afternoon with the restaurant not even being a quarter full. I wanted to treat my mum and we were both left disappointed and would never go again despite the lovely view.
I have eaten at the Dome several times this year and each visit has been great. The service once again was good and the food was also excellent.
Food was lush & the staff was very nice & pleasant. I definitely, will be coming back again & bring some other friends with me too.
Lovely cream tea in a lovely setting
Very good service, although one or two mistakes were made. Staff very polite and helpful. Not a vast choice but covered most appetites. All in all very good value for money. Could do with two members of staff attending bar during busy times.
Food was delicious and cooked perfectly just knocked off one star because it could have been hotter. But will definitely come again very good value.
We had a great meal and thought the staff where great . We will be booking again.
Always amazing food, friendly helpful staff- and the best view!
As this was for afternoon tea, I've marked the service down because I didn't feel that we should have waited half an hour for a couple of sandwiches and a few pieces of cake to be prepared On my previous visit my Sunday roast didn't take as long to be delivered.Otherwise a pleasant experience.
The cream tea was lovely the service excellent and the views amazing
Excellent in all areas Kirsty and team
Service was very slow Waitor appeared frantic and stressed even though only a few tables had customers on and we had already prebooked our table online Food was good and plenty of it great selection although cups on the table were dirty Amazing view
Answer phone when booking (even though I know it's rarely busy enough to warrant that) menu not diverse (unless it's now a fish restaurant?), 2 requests were ignored, staff were miserable, shabby decor and the big table at the back was being used as an office. I expect more from somewhere that is charging £13 for a burger and onion rings.
We were sat at our table waiting for 10-15 minutes and no one approached us so I had to ask to order. The afternoon tea took quite a while to come out and when it did we didn't get out pots of tea until we had nearly finished the food. The food was nice although one bit of fruit cake I had was so thin it was a joke. The food was nice but the service was poor. We were not approached to ask if everything was ok and were not approached for ages after we had finished so I had to find someone to ask for the bill. Lovely view and not food (although I have had better) but poor service.
Lovely afternoon tea with lovely view of Plymouth Sound. Excellent value as we had a 2-4-1 voucher but would still be good value at full price. The only small criticism is that it would have been nice to have been offered more tea to go with all the delicious food.
our wedding anniversary sunday roast was first class and the service was excellent. the dome was ideally situated. on the hoe with magnificent views for the occasion. many thanks to chef and staff dave and dawn
