About The Dining Rooms
The Dining Rooms’ menu offers British and European classics using only the best local produce. Ignite your appetite with starters such as Potted Norfolk Brown Shrimps with Nutmeg, Lemon & Parsley or Chickpea Scotch Quail Egg with Roasted Pepper Hummus. Follow with mains such as Sticky BBQ Attleborough Pork with Coriander Lentils and Sesame Greens or Spelt & Smoked Norfolk Cheese Pork(less) Pie. The puddings are devilishly tempting creations such as White Wine-Poached Pear with Chocolate Ice Cream and Warm Frangipane with Crème Anglais.
For less formal dining, the airy and relaxed bar area serves food and drink all day to cinema-goers and visitors alike. Bar meals, cakes, coffee and soft drinks are available alongside carefully selected bottled and tap beers, great wines and cocktails. A covered interior terrace and a landscaped outside area to the front of the building are ideal for warmer weather.
With the impressive ambience of Suckling House as a backdrop and the fresh, high-quality fare on offer, The Dining Rooms is a high quality part of the Norwich restaurant scene that you should not miss.
The food was delicious and the staff attentive and pleasant. Because we are members we had 20% off the bill which made it good value for money too. We then went on to a film and the entire evening was wonderful.
The food here is very good, as a veggie I would appreciate more than one option for my main. My partner said the lamb he had the other day was one of the best meals he's ever had - so cannot fault that! Staff are great. I have a cinema membership card, so price is great! Just one more veggie option would be perfect!
We had a delicious lunch in Cinema City's delightful crypt dining room. The service was attentive and friendly, without being intrusive - a great place to eat!
Delicious food and lovely ambience
The only minor criticism, which would not take away from the 5 star review, was there was no ice for our initial drinks!
Very enjoyable Sunday lunch
Very good food and lovely atmosphere. We will return
We had a delicious meal in a relaxing atmosphere. Cool despite the hot weather, great food, excellent service.
Excellent meal and service as always. Loved the caramelised white chocolate mousse
We did not know this restaurant even existed, but now we have found it, we will definitely use it again.
Bar and dining room staff, relaxed, friendly and very helpful when we asked to sit outside in the courtyard for our meal. And reassuring the food and wine would be served promptly to give us plenty of time to see the start of the film. James
As fairly regular diners, we have never been treated with anything but great thoughtfulnes and courtesy. Service is prompt, food is excellent and we have every reason to continue to support these very high quality Dining Rooms.
Often come here and love the food and the cinema . However didn’t really like the new room. We like the bar/restaurant. We went on a film course a couple of years ago in the othe building and we felt like we were sitting in a class room eating dinner :/
Consistently good food every time. Staff always friendly and welcoming.
For any visit to Cinema City, The Dining Rooms are a natural, reliable and pleasurable choice. We have never been disappointed when eating here!
Very good as always
Two of us had the lamb rump, far to much mash & not much of anything else. The reduction which accompanied it was put on so sparsly it had dried on the hot plate so you couldn't even taste it. It made for a pretty tasteless dish.
This is the first time I had been to The Dining Rooms and I will definitely go back. The food was superb, I really couldn’t fault it. The atmosphere and surroundings are lovely and the staff are friendly and attentive. The price of the bill left us in shock as we expected it to be a lot more. You really do get value for money.
We've never been anything but delighted by the service at The Dining Rooms - good-humoured, thoughtful, prompt, concerned that we should enjoy ourselves, but not over-intrusive, exemplary. And this time it was a new menu which, as in previous menus, has something for every palate and every size of appetite, and ranges inventively over all manner of seductive foodstuff and combination.
Checked menu online before arriving. Disappointed breaded plaice wasn't available so went for pigs cheek, a dish I'd never had before. What luck! Absolutely superb and cooked to perfection. Followed up with treacle tart and chantilly crime. Yum.
Julie’s says I can tak her there again. Says it all!
We booked a table for 10 people. The restaurant provided a private room for us. It had a great atmosphere, food was delicious, and staff were friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening!
Excellent lunch - unusual dishes - the whitebait is fantastic to share and great service. Thank you!
We had the Sunday lunch and was lovely, the only disappointment was the main attraction which should have been the pork belly, it was very touch and chewy, its my favourite meat and is supposed to melt in your mouth and was far from it Im afraid.
