Lovely afternoon tea for 2 with half bottle of champagne very enjoyable, great service and wonderful tea, sandwiches & cakes. Great special treat would definately come again
It was a wonderful afternoon tea. Only small disappointment was that we had been asked about dietary needs and I had asked for our tea to be more savoury than sweet as my husband should not eat lots of sugary foods. This was overlooked. Otherwise it was a fantastic experience
We had a wonderful time having afternoon tea. Marie was very courteous and welcoming and Ari was very attentive. Thank you so much.
My husband and I enjoyed a delicious dinner with you. We enjoyed all our choices and could have ordered so many more things - we’ll have to come back to try the other dishes. The service was exceptional- attentive but perfectly balanced and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Seeing the 2/3 course menu we were somewhat dubious of finding suitable selections. However we managed and found that our meal turned out to be one the most enjoyable lunches we’ve had at The Chewton Glen for sometime.
Cakes, sandwiches and scones were delicious however could have looked a little more appealing on the stand as they were all the one colour of beige. Scones are the best I have tasted. Staff all very helpful and friendly.
High standard of service and generous portions of beautifully cooked food. Waiter service and the sommelier were both very attentive and helpful. The sommelier recommended an excellent wine we had not tried before. Will definitely visit again for lunch.
It was incredible - the food really did hit the spot and was cooked to perfection. Service was brilliant and it was the perfect anniversary!
We had a lovely evening at The Dining Room. The food was delicious and the staff attentive and knowledgeable.
As always excellent service and great food
Excellent meal with attentive staff - as ever.
Very good service and good if very rich food. Lovely surroundings.
Had a gift voucher for Sunday lunch, which was very nice. We had the haddock and egg dish, but unfortunately it was not very warm. The food generally looked lovely and the staff were attentive.
Staff very friendly and efficient. Good advice on wine choices. Food is beautifully cooked and presented. Expensive but excellent.
Would like to have seen more savoury and not so much sweet items.
Great food and service as always!
Just perfect, it was my partner’s birthday and the team took every opportunity to make it special. The food & wine was outstanding, lovely setting & atmosphere. But the personal friendly service of the Dining Room team was just first class!! Thank you for giving us a day to remember. Jon & Tracy
Staff were so friendly. Thoughrougly enjoyed our experience!
Lovely staff in today. Very well organised and impeccable service. Good to see stuffy management not on duty makes for such a nice atmosphere.
The hotel and staff are very impressive, there is a great attention to detail. The grounds are lovely and vast. However on the night we ate there, it was not up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel. Given that the prices are akin to a top London Michelin starred restaurant, I was expecting more wow factor for my money. The food was a bit cold in general and some of it was no better than a gastropub. It took the staff a long time to bring us menus, drinks, bread etc, the service felt a bit disjointed. Even though we pre booked a while ago we were given a table by the kitchens with not a lot of atmosphere and the decor could do with modernising. In the general the food was good, the portion sizes were generous but I left underwhelmed given the size of the bill. To charge that much outside of London you need to be doing something pretty special in my opinion and it fell short of the mark.
A super birthday lunch, thank you Chewton Glen!
Had a lovely afternoon and would highly recommend
Excellent customer service skills from genuinely caring staff. It is always a pleasure to spend time at Chewton Glen and will be returning very soon!
Food reasonably priced and decent quality. Wine list is an exercise in gouging.
