About The Dial House
If our online booking system says we are full please do call or email us in house and we will do our best to find you a table.
The Dial House is a luxury bistro restaurant with rooms. A special place tucked away in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. Perfectly situated 30 minutes away from both the North Norfolk coastline and the Norfolk broads national park. Eight luxury bedrooms, magnificent breakfasts, hand-crafted afternoon teas, spa treatments, grand dinners and an in house retail wing which means ‘everything’s for sale’.
Our building is grade II listed and has many quirks which include steep steps and low ceilings in certain areas. Please consider this before booking as we may not be suitable for everyone. If you’d like more information please do give us a call.
Delightful hotel stay in lovely Norfolk market town. The room was quiet and comfortable - fresh milk and homemade biscuits were thoughtful provisions. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we had a fantastic meal and breakfast next morning in the lovely restaurant. I hope the current crisis doesn't take too high a toll and that business quickly returns to normal - we shall certainly be back.
Lovely boutique hotel in a friendly Norfolk village Unique rooms with personal touches (record player) highly recommend
A lovely afternoon tea. Service from Norbert and Tom was very good. Have already recommended to others. Thank you
Excellent food in a lovely setting!
We loved the Italian Palace room. One of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. Room immaculately clean. All staff were super friendly and a particular mention to the front of house manager, waiter, general all rounder. The young lady at the bar and in restaurant was very professional. Food was excellent, especially the cote de boeuf. Good breakfast too. We look forward to staying with you again.
Excellent Sunday lunch. Friendly service. Only problem wasn't an ordered drink not arriving but we weren't charged for it.
Booked last minute, on arrival waiter initially suggested to seat us in a room on our own, but noticed the look of disappointment on my face. Say in main room, nice atmosphere, nice food and good value for money.
Really well looked after by the staff for our birthday celebration. Food was inventive and beautifully cooked. Some dishes too heavily seasoned for my liking but certainly tasty and skillfully put together. Such an interesting place, great to explore and although high class very relaxed even for our curious kids. Rooms were beautiful, immaculately clean and very comfortably furnished, however way too hot. So hot it was really difficult to cool it down. A regular issue according to other friends who have stayed before. Breakfast menu equally well put together, plentiful and tasty. Homemade granola, perfect poached eggs and avocado toast full of flavour, with tarragon and lemon. Bacon and maple syrup pancakes were thick, sweet and incredible crispy bacon.
Service was impeccable, and food was amazing. Will definitely return!
Excellent Sunday lunch.
We had a wonderful stay at The Dial House this weekend. What a fantastic place. Delicious food, a brilliant wine selection, great service and all in the most quirky yet comfortable of settings (the bed is one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in)! The attention to detail throughout is second to none and made for a truly unforgettable experience. Thank you...we will most definitely be back!
Thank you for a wonderful Afernoon Tea yesterday! A very special 'thank you' to the Kitchen Staff for being so accommodating concerning our dietary requirements....we will definitely be returning and bringing friends and family next time!
Loved my stay and will definatley be back again!
Excellent service and food.
A lovely quirky friendly place to dine. A hidden gem in our rural countryside.
Upon arrival the room was very cold and we had the heater on all night. Bathroom was also very cold, more so the floor so perhaps under floor heating?? Having said that a very enjoyable stay, lovely shower and great food.
Fantastic stay. Can’t wait to come back again.
The service was superb start to finish. Our vegan guest raved about her meal. Love all the items for sale, interesting dining. I will be back!
This was a wonderful experience and we had the best time. There were only a couple of things which prevented a 5 star review, other then those everything was amazing. We booked a table to eat at 2:30, we came down a little early as we were hungry but were left sitting in the bar for almost half hour, when we asked to be shown to the table it seems we had been forgotten about. Luckily a table was set up pretty quickly after we mentioned it. Little things like cutlery not being available when our main came out could of easily been avoided. There was also a overcharge on our bill the following morning but again this was sorted once we pointed it out. Overall a lovely experience and would love to try it again.
Lovely Sunday lunch
The food was delicious! Our families were meeting for the first time, and when we mentioned it was our engagement, the manager poured each of us a glass of prosecco.. which was had been ordered by my partner and brother as part of the valentine menu, but the manager brought us 8 glasses and we all toasted with a photograph taken by the waitress! Thank you
Very disappointing experience. We were the only people in the room, so no atmosphere whatsoever. Breakfast order took 35 minutes to arrive. My poached eggs and husbands baked beans were stone cold. His beans were warmed up and an offer to replace mine was given, but we would have been eating separately by then. At £10 for a full English one would normally expect more than one sausage and one rashers of bacon. Although we complained we only received a weak apology and no offer of a reduction on the bill. We have frequented the Dial House regularly over the years, and to be honest it is now a shadow of its former self. Many other people we speak to in Reepham feel the same. Sad times..
Having stayed at the Dial house previously and having had a wonderful experience with great staff and excellent food, I thought it fitting to take my fiancée there for a valentines Dinner. Our table was booked for 6pm but arrived about ten minutes early and they were very gracious and accommodating. We were shown to our table and having not made up our mind on the first visit by the waitress (who I’m guessing was owner by her manner) by the second visit, which was now only 6:01pm, preceded to stand over us suggesting options in a somewhat forceful way...”what are drawn towards” a ‘polite’ technique of getting us to make up our minds, when it was clear we hadn’t. It was quite rude really especially as we were only 1 minute into our booked time slot. Part of the reason we were slow choosing was there was valentines set menu which didn’t appeal to either of us and a limited a la carte menu that attempted to provide more unusual food options that didn’t appeal for the less daring. .. especially for someone with nut and other food allergies. I appreciate that all food allergies are difficult for any restaurant to take into account but perhaps a less forceful approach to allowing guests choose their food is something they can do something about. The food we had was very good and the starters and deserts excellent. The atmosphere and surroundings were lovely and I can recommend the accommodation from a previous stay. Overall good but disappointed in the service but I do appreciate it was on a busy night of the year and I’m sure the table was needed for a later booking but as it was only a minute into our booking I think we shouldn’t have been rushed as we were ... hence the rating. We would like to feel welcomed back and maybe these comments can be taken on board for an improvement in service.
