About The Dial House
If our online booking system says we are full please do call or email us in house and we will do our best to find you a table.
The Dial House is a luxury bistro restaurant with rooms. A special place tucked away in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. Perfectly situated 30 minutes away from both the North Norfolk coastline and the Norfolk broads national park. Eight luxury bedrooms, magnificent breakfasts, hand-crafted afternoon teas, spa treatments, grand dinners and an in house retail wing which means ‘everything’s for sale’.
I had booked this for my hubby's birthday, and food was amazing, however we were put in a room at the front and just felt forgotten about at times. Wish we had been seated in the main restaurant at the back, looked so much nicer and seemed to have a better atmosphere. Always heard amazing things about the dial house, that we were looking forward to it. Also being put in the front room, there is no shade from bright sunshine, so two of our group were blinded during the meal, we had to ask if there was anything to block the sun. They then did offer to seat us in the main restaurant but I felt people didn't want to make a fuss as we had already got our drinks and had ordered our food. Food was great value for money, and we all loved the deco. Just disappointed with the service.
having previously been twice before we were disappointed with the food this time round,we had previously raved about the food before.the rooms were lovely but service the next morning very slow,we had been told we were entitled to a cream tea on booking in, we opted to have the following day that wasn’t mentioned, left feeling quite disappointed as were the couple we dined with who travelled a long way to be there.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming for our first visit to The Dial House for breakfast. We both had the fried breakfast which was good value, good quality and very tasty! We will be back!
Our first visit which we enjoyed. We are sorry that it’s not our local ( we are Norwich based) but we will definitely return. Lovely building and nicely eclectic layout and contents.
Exceptional food and great service. Great value for money. Was quite cold in restaurant.
Good Christmas lunch and everyone enjoyed all three courses. The guests requested gluten free and this was well catered for.
Met a colleague for lunch, having booked a few weeks back and was looking forward to visiting. It was pretty quiet when we were there but it was a Monday lunctime. Very impressed with the set up- unique, fun and very good food. Not often you get the chance to shop whilst enjoyng good food whilst under the same roof! Shame the recyled clothes shop wasn't open as it looked very interesting. Would definitely come again, next time for dinner and possible stay over!
The only comment we would make is that it is a bit off putting to have people wandering about looking at goods for sale whilst we were eating otherwise it was a very pleasant experience.
Food was fabulous and just the right amount. The whole menu looked great and wine selection was excellent. We were in the cellar which was beautifully decorated and a great setting for a private, intimate dinner. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Had the most wonderful stay with family and friends and was made to feel very welcome especially with having our children with us all too. Good value for money and the food was very good. Rooms were stunning and every room had its own theme, they have thought of everything in the rooms all the special touches like the complimentary night cap left in the room. White company products were also lovely.
A group booking for breakfast for 34. Universal praise from those attending for the quality of the food and the character/atmosphere of the restaurant. Service was a little slow for some although did not affect the enjoyment of the meal and the social occasion for the group. Particular praise for their signature dish -the Dial House Breakfast.
The Sunday roast was appalling- we couldn’t even eat it. Tough meat, dry potatoes and burned Yorkshire puddings. The vegetation were also not great and the meal was tasteless. We won’t be returning. We travelled 25 miles for lunch due the reviews we had heard and were so disappointed. We usually eat at the Wildebeest Arms maybe because of this our expectations were too high.
We came for Sunday lunch, for our wedding anniversary. Very relaxed, but smart. We both enjoyed lunch. Thanks Nathan
Excellent food and service. Being able to have a side room when it is a 'business' lunch really helpful. Thank you.
A nice experience, with friendly and attentive staff. I had advised of dietary requirements ahead of booking but front staff and chefs unaware on day. Scones were delicious! Good amount of food.
Disappointed with our visit I’m afraid, food & service left a lot to be desired, slow and Luke warm, uncooked food (a burger) which had to be sent back.
A very nice meal in a very nice setting.
Super evening at Flint Vineyard wine pairing, amazing food and delicious wine with really lovely service. Thank you 😊
Had a fabulous evening with Flint Pairing Menu. Innovative, creative menu - presented well and tasted delicious. Great service and thank you very much for catering for me as a coeliac, I was impressed with effort made so I had pretty much the same menu. Thank you. Clearly knowledgeable team! Will definitely be back soon, great food, great venue and amazing toilets!
Had a great time great food and atmosphere tim brought a painting loved the quirkinesses of this a i loved the green room love staff will recommend
It was a shame that we had to change rooms due to un clean bathroom ! The manager was made aware and upgraded us to another room
Excellent Sunday lunch
Our first visit taking advantage of Norfolk Restaurant week. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and food with matched wines and will definitely visit again.
Had a fabulous lunch with my bestie celebrating Norfolk week. Excellent food and service. Went the extra mile to provide extra glass so could share tasting wine with meal. Will definitely return
