About The Devonshire Fell
Situated in the luxurious Devonshire Fell, our superb restaurant is the perfect spot for all occasions from casual gatherings with friends to family celebrations and parties. Our Yorkshire restaurant offers spectacular panoramic views of the Yorkshire Dales, Burnsall village and the River Wharfe. The Bar and Conservatory areas are the perfect spot for a relaxed lunch or as a more intimate private dining area where you can sit back and catch up with friends over some pre-dinner drinks.
Our excellent restaurant provides the finest dining options, and it is with the fabulous local ingredients available nearby that we are able to create the outstanding food that we are so renowned for. With such high quality produce on our doorstep from award winning artisan cheeses to locally shot game and seasonal legumes from our own kitchen garden, we remain uncompromising in our commitment to local, seasonal ingredients. Our battered Whitby haddock with hand cut chips is one of the Duke’s favourites who recently declared the dish “the best I’ve ever tasted”.
Monday-Sunday: 12.00 - 17.00
Food and service were very good and the views were superb. Drinks were overpriced but the overall experience was welcoming and we have recommended the restaurant to friends.
Experienced a lovely afternoon tea with breath taking views from the conservatory. Thank you
The overall evening was pleasant but we were very surprised by a main course dish. It was the cod on the menu and came with a very small cauliflower puree and some samphire. No other vegetables or potatoes. It wasn't really adequate for a main course, we feel. I think you should at least ask the guests if they want to order vegetables if this is how you are going to serve the dish. We just expected that it would be served with some vegetables. The staff offered to heat up some mashed potato. On a much more positive note, we got married last year on July 4th at the Fell and we had an amazing day. We have very precious memories. Thank you. We think it would have been nice (and smart for you from a marketing point of view) to follow up with us after the event. A card to say "we hope you had a nice time at the Devonshire Fell on your wedding day" would have been a thoughtful touch. Regards, Alison McDermott
Lovely hotel and the staff was fantastic. We only stayed for dinner which was nice and good value. There were a couple of minor issues with the food, sticky toffee pudding was a bit bland and the roast veg and fete cheese starter was just ok but apart from that a really nice evening.
To be charged 12% service for what was no service at all was quite rich to be honest. We had better service at a small cafe in Ilkley earlier in the day. Your restaurant manager was so busy setting up tables for dinner that he didn't even welcome us, totally ignored us. Our food was served with no explanation and we had to find staff to ask for hot water. etc. Not what we expected I'm afraid of the Devonshire brand!
Very enjoyable lunch with beautiful views and nice ladies toilet.
A beautiful setting for a very tasty afternoon tea, with friendly and attentive service.
