About The Deacon
Modern British tavern on the square in the heart of Lytham. The Deacon offers both informal and formal dining with a truly British menu, in our conservatory, al fresco or in the bar. The world wide Gin list, a large selection of craft beer and wine list
Had a fantastic meal, service was excellent and we had a great time listening to the music while eating. Fabulous atmosphere to the point we stayed a lot longer than planned!!
Great food with a really good atmosphere from the live band highly recommend
We had super food once again at the Deacon but some of the atmosphere was spoilt and not for the first time by drunk lads eating like pigs, swearing and generally making a nuisance of themselves with other people around them and the waitresses. Why do you let this happen and where is the manager? the waitresses were once again left to deal with the fall out and everyone breathed a sigh of relief once they left. Its not good enough Im afraid as the food and wines are too expensive to put up with that kind of behaviour. Our bill was £183 for the 3 of us - far too much to share the dining experience with drunk fools.
Lovely meal and atmosphere will definitely return
We had the fish cakes which were gorgeous in flavour but the amount would not be enough for someone tea more a light lunch I would recommend having four altogether rather than two
Always great service and great food!
We had an excellent Sunday dinner, thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks and listening to the Deadbeats! The service from Ella was amazing!
Excellent meal and fantastic music. Great way to spend a Sunday evening
Fantastic atmosphere with the live band. Great food, Great Night!
We went as a party of 6. Service was brilliant and the food really good. Great relaxed atmosphere.
It’s become our local, great for family’s
Chaotic! Lack of service - Waited 45 minutes to get menu and a drink! and an hour and a half before any food as they had apparently forgotten our order. Starters discounted from bill by way of apology, however still poor value for money compared to other restaurants in the area. Would not recommend!
food was good but service and feel of the place bordered on shambolic. asked for a jug of water.as well as wine run out of jugs that was after we had waited 30 minutes after being seated before anyone asked us what we wanted to drink and that set the tone.i quite fancied a dessert but after 40 minutes just gave up and got the bill. twice during the evening saw kitchen stuff running across the road.. tables weren't being cleared. folk were getting their mains and no cutlery. it just was not right
Really tasty food and drink and service was great
Another lovely meal at the Deacon My friends were well impressed Waitress was great Food lovely and wine delicious
Lovely place with nice terrace our server Rosie was a joy.
Thank you for so much for the lovely meal and for being so accommodating. I reserved a table for eight people - it was for a friend's 50th birthday. The restaurant was more than happy for me to leave a cake and balloons and they got everything arranged for our arrival. The food was delicious - not a bad word said from any of our party - and the birthday girl also received a complimentary glass of bubbles! Thank you for everything - we will be back.
Duck and steak were over cooked Service was so so!
Always great service and food
Absolutely fantastic experience celebrating our daughters 18th, everything was perfect , Thankyou x
Food fantastic. Staff very friendly and attentive. 3rd visit - been consistently good each time.
Duck overcooked which was disappointing. Staff work extremely hard, but despite this we were waiting a long time for service. Atmosphere is great. Just need more staff to provide a good customer service for the money.
