Excellent food and service - with great entertainment on a Sunday!
Food was very tasty, but it took crazy long time to serve - and we were in early before it got busy! Those delays were compounded with one of our party’s main course not appearing & staff taking a long time to acknowledge this and even more time delays before it finally appeared - after the rest of the party had finished. We were pretty chilled despite this really poor experience, and having plenty of reason to have a strong complaint, but then really felt badly treated when it turned out the restaurant owner was the man at the next table who seemed to just be joking about our delays, and who having been made aware of the problem didn’t seem to care enough about his customers to take the one step over to our table to say sorry for the poor experience we were having.
Buzzing and busy as usual but staff remained attentive and helpful. Great food at fair price. Will return again and again
Professional staff excellent food. Definitely back soon
Enjoyed our evening. Had tried to call on several occasions and never got an answer no matter what time I called.
Absolutely fabulous evening. We took some friends from out of town and they were very impressed. The service was great and food top class
Awesome place to catch up with friends
We thought we would give this place another chance We came a few times a while ago but the service is always just so shockingly bad , it totally puts us off.
Terrible service on drinks and food. Food was bland and average for what you are charging
Requested a specific table when booking and this was allocated on our arrival. Good selection available on the menu and what we had was excellent.
Food was great. Service was great. Very good atmosphere
We had the Sunday roast ,was tasty but gravy extremely salty ! Roast potatoes seemed reheated and not fresh n crispy Wasn’t the best ! Atmosphere good and staff all lovely
Absolutely fantastic night - food was amazing and the service was great, would highly recommend to others
Had a fantastic meal, service was excellent and we had a great time listening to the music while eating. Fabulous atmosphere to the point we stayed a lot longer than planned!!
Great food with a really good atmosphere from the live band highly recommend
We had super food once again at the Deacon but some of the atmosphere was spoilt and not for the first time by drunk lads eating like pigs, swearing and generally making a nuisance of themselves with other people around them and the waitresses. Why do you let this happen and where is the manager? the waitresses were once again left to deal with the fall out and everyone breathed a sigh of relief once they left. Its not good enough Im afraid as the food and wines are too expensive to put up with that kind of behaviour. Our bill was £183 for the 3 of us - far too much to share the dining experience with drunk fools.
Lovely meal and atmosphere will definitely return
We had the fish cakes which were gorgeous in flavour but the amount would not be enough for someone tea more a light lunch I would recommend having four altogether rather than two
Always great service and great food!
We had an excellent Sunday dinner, thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks and listening to the Deadbeats! The service from Ella was amazing!
Excellent meal and fantastic music. Great way to spend a Sunday evening
Fantastic atmosphere with the live band. Great food, Great Night!
We went as a party of 6. Service was brilliant and the food really good. Great relaxed atmosphere.
