Beautiful pub, lovely setting, terrific food and service.
Second time visiting and the next day, we wanted to eat our meal all over again, it was really that good. Looking forward to another visit soon
Fantastic food and service. Great value for money in lovely surroundings.
Absolutely outstanding food in a lovely, cosy pub. excellent service throughout - a real gem and fantastic value for money.
I’m not sure if we hit a bad day but service was not good and very disjointed. I cannot blame the man who did most of the service but he was running around looking after far too many tables. I had to go to the bar for drinks in the middle of my meal and waited 15 minutes for the bill. Food was of a good standard but beef over cooked.
The service was generally excellent but we had an extended wait for our pud with our dirty plates from our main course still on the table. We will certainly return & also recommend to others. Thank you very much.
A wonderful venue for a family get together on a Sunday!
Delicious Sunday roast with great service.
An excellent meal and thoroughly enjoyable evening
Very welcoming staff in a comfortable dining pub. Whilst moderate portions the food was delicious - service excellent and atmosphere lovely. Enjoyed it so much we went back on our second evening
The food was delicious, very relaxed atmosphere, we weren't rushed and its always lovely to visit.
Fabulous meal and the service was great. Certainly recommend it and can’t wait to go back
We've been dozens of times to the Dawnay over many years and generally been very satisfied and the meal we had on Saturday(22nd) was as good as anything we've ever experienced in the past.Full marks for quality of food, service and friendliness.
Food, drink and location excellent, staff weren't overly helpful and lady on the phone was a little rude but would recommend to all.
We dined on a midweek evening, so the restaurant was quite quiet and lacked a little bit of the buzz that we'd enjoyed on previous weekend lunchtime visits. Still great, though, but lacking a little atmosphere.
As usual great food and service
Friendly, professional service and a faultless meal. We will be back to try more from the menu.
Very pleasant and convivial - Highly recommended!
Gorgeous experience. Loved all the small touches like jome made bread and chocolate. Will be back! Thank you,
a really delicious meal for each of the four of us - we were all impressed with the mix of welcoming informal atmosphere and great quality - and the egg custard tart was sooo delicious
Beautiful venue, friendly efficiently service, amazing food! Highly recommended.
Enjoyed a really tasty Sunday Lunch. Arrived Early for our booking and were accommodated straight away by friendly staff. We will be back soon.
