About The Culpeper
So this is exactly what you think of when you think of The Culpeper. It’s light and bright until night and then it’s bright and light until later.
It’s about relaxing; hanging with a bunch of friends or the good crew from the office. It’s ‘grab some lunch’ but with a hazy plan about what’s on this afternoon; it’s a cocktail or two after five and a totally easy dinner kind of thing.
We’re right on the water’s edge so you know it’s going to be ‘at ease’. Our owner thinks we’re here to celebrate food, fun and friends; we think we’re here for a good time (and a long time)…
Remember every good time is made up of moments. At The Culpeper, making the most of the moment is up to you.
It was Saturday night and a bit noisey
Loved the experience. Food is great. And service is amazing. Congratulations to Laura, the lovely waitress we met.
Great afternoon spent at Culpeper - server was very attentive and friendly - we had 7 different dishes and the food on the whole was very good and the only issue we had was with the pork cheeks which had way too much salt in it. We have been to the Culpeper more half a dozen times as we find the food consistent so if you enjoyed a dish last time, chances are you’ll enjoy it again when you visit next time - that’s important to us
Delicious food & fantastic service!!
Had lunch here today with some friends and it was AMAZING! Such great service, the food was YUM (Cocktails even better) and the setting was BEAUTIFUL 😊
The team were very accommodating, flexible and polite. The service was spot on and the meals were absolutely delectable. We will definitely be back and recommend you to our friends
My friends and I enjoyed the food! It was a great experience. I highly recommend The Culpeper to my friends/colleagues.
The staff was extremely accommodating, super grateful for their patience in dealing with me. I was able to organise a surprise birthday dinner from a different country so I was very impressed.
Absolutely enjoyed our dining experience and staff were awesome! One of our party couldn't make it and another was stuck in traffic for half an hour so was very late but we didn't feel like an inconvenience. Loved the food, very relaxed atmosphere, music was nice, had an espresso martini which was delicious. The only thing that I found odd was the Key Lime Pie. I swear that it was lemon meringue which is fine because it was delicious and I ate it but I've eaten a few Key Lime Pies in my time and usually they are green, and taste like lime. Maybe the colour made me think it was lemon, but I was a little let down because of it. Someone else had some of it and she thought it was Lemon Meringue as well. If I had of known that it would be presented like this I would of ordered a different dessert. Other than that, everything else was fantastic and I'd happily come back :)
Loved the food, staff were amazing and attentive. Great environment, gave a chic yet laid back kind of feeling. Definitely will be recommending to friends and family.
Excellent - unbeatable service and yummy food as always!
Chips were very nice
Enjoyed today Fathers Day/ Birthday with 4 adults & 3 kiddies ! The Culpeper was terrific - food was awesome !! Nothing too much trouble for the staff ! Great night Thanks again
We had a wonderful time last night...enjoying the delicious food and the customer services need to be highlighted!!! Highly recommended this restaurant:-)
Wonderful experience, nothing to fault about this place!
We visited awhile back where everything was 5 star and I gave it a 5 star review - this time we came for the $25 restaurant menu which was lack lustre. I got the fried chicken and pork cheek scrumpet. Being that we got both these meals on our first visit here, I knew what to expect. I realise a set menu is always smaller servings, but it appeared the leftovers were used for this. My first fried chicken starter was juicy chicken thighs with a thick crispy coating. This time it was small pieces of tenderloin/ breast that looked like off cuts with a coating that lacked. The taste was good but not amazing as the first time. The pork scrumpet was like leftover pulled pork that was breaded, not an actual pork cheek. Overall, they were both about 6/10 where the first visit I believed they were 10/10. It was disappointing, but the $10 happy hour mojito was beautiful, and of course the fries and chipotle aioli were great. That mac n cheese is to die for, as it was last time. All staff are very good, friendly and professional and pretend to laugh at my dads bad jokes which is awesome. We will still be back but will just order the usual menu.
Lovely restaurant and food. I was really happy in here. The restaurant had a lovely sea view. I would like to come again in the future !
the Culpeper is a great place for a function - our group had a few specific requirements with bill splitting and it was all done very easily. the pre-event booking process was super easy and Emily took great care in getting the details right.
Everything ticked the boxes from the welcome, the service and the so tasty dishes enjoyed in a lovely atmosphere.
Went for Restaurant Month, delicious food, very good value for money!
