Lovely, helpful service and not rushed
We had the loveliest, polite waitress you could ask for. This was our first visit, food was lovely, service very good. Looking forward to our next visit.
Food was very good and staff very friendly and courteous. Will be back!
Traditional pub with a nice atmosphere
Excellent food and staff a very enjoyable evening.
Friendly staff Varied menu Warm and welcoming
Tasty food, nicely presented. Highlight was my Bakewell tart.
A fantastic evening and service. Superb dinning experience all around- the ambience, food and service. A specific gluten free menu with choice of vegetarian dishes for starter, main and dessert. They also accommodated special requests for my daughter. The desserts were sublime and as we waited a little longer than the restaurant would have liked ( we were fine with the wait), they knocked them all off the bill as " the experience was not as exceptional as they would have hoped". We thought it was exceptional and would definitely return again.
Portion sizes slightly smaller than anticipated
Salmon dish was tastey but expensive for the actual portion size. Nice atmosphere.
Lovely food, great service. Would have liked my treacle tart slice to have been slightly bigger, but that's my only criticism as was otherwise great.
Restaurant was nearly empty resulting in lack of atmosphere. Otherwise a lovely evening.
This was a family 60th birthday celebration. The whole experience was perfect. Always at this place you get relaxed, friendly, efficient service and consistently good food. Our waiter - the Sardinian guy (Enzio?) was a star providing a fun and efficient service.
They have a big menu, lots of interesting choices, but with a small kitchen you often worry that they can't do it justice... but no need to worry. We had a table of seven but everything came out bang on time, was hot and better still, delicious! Well done.
I chose this pub based on the age of the building and the location. It is easy to reach by road or by train, even from London!
very impressed with quality of food, great service and would certainly recommend
A lovely Sunday roast & generous portions in a very relaxed restaurant. Shame we didn't have room for puddings! We will be back..
Food was excellent and service very good. Planning on coming back soon
Had a fabulous evening with 5 friends. Friendly and attentive service, tasty and good choice of food and drinks, which weren't over priced. Will definitely be back.
Good food and service
Had a lovely meal and the waitress was very nice. Thank you
A return visit for me and my three friends. The Cross Keys is a great venue for lunch in a relaxed atmosphere in enjoyable surroundings. The helpfulness and attentiveness of the staff was exemplary. Great menu - food met our expectations. My thanks to all of the staff and to Fullers. Neal Stone
We had a wonderful evening, the food was excellent, the atmosphere was great, and the staff were lovely as always!
Good food and beer. A bit quiet when the restaurant is empty.
