About The Cross Keys
Steeped in hundreds of years of history and renovated to the highest standards, one of Nottingham's finest gems is back to its former glory.
The Cross Keys offers a fantastic range of quality beers and wines, including 7 hand-pulled real ales. Our food menu is essentially British-based with an extensive breakfast selection as well as lightbites and pub snacks.
Breakfast starts at 9am everyday with prices ranging from toast and preserves to a traditional Full English with many other breakfast and brunch options, complimented by loose leaf teas and the finest quality barista coffees.
Lighter bites include soups, sandwiches and salads and our available alongside our flagship main meals from 12pm daily. Signature homemade burgers, traditional mains with a twist as well as plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. To finish, we have a delicious selection of homemade desserts, all using seasonal and local produce wherever possible.
Every Sunday, our famous Sunday Roast is served from 12noon onwards in the traditional manner.
Customers are welcome to dine in the bar section to the front of the pub or our comfortable, relaxed dining area towards the rear (accessible through a separate door down the side of Byard lane). Table service is available in both areas or if you prefer, place your order at the bar.
Our wonderful upstairs dining room is available for busy services as well as private hire, perfect for a wide range of events and occasions.
There was 4 of us and unfortunately 2 had the beef roast Sunday dinner and the beef was very tough and the yourkshire puddings were burnt
Unfortunately quite unprepared for a pre-booked party of 8 and poor selection of non-alcoholic drinks but decent Sunday lunch.
If, like me, you don't care for city centre bars, you should give the Cross Keys a try. It's a proper pub with great atmosphere and lovely staff. The beer is top notch! It's a great place to meet with friends as it is right next to a tram stop, just a stop away from the railway station. The food is uaually decent and on this occasion I enjoyed a lovely salad. Recommended!
Delicious Sunday lunch with good veggie option and great service. Thanks!
Best Cottage pie ever
according to your blurb you do the best sunday roast yesterday’s meals were barely adequate, the dining area was practically empty but we were shown to probably the worst table in the room by the bar and the stairs so people constantly moving around us. As for the meal and i speak as a person who was a chef for 35 years so i understand the pressures however i am all for undercooked vegetables but we struggled to get a knife into the broccoli , carrots and cabbage let alone chew it, the roast potatoes could best be described as anaemic lacking any colour something i would expect from a roast potato, we ordered a side order of cauliflower cheese for some reason half of it as piping hot and the other half was cold, Parsnips i think stated honey glazed but i didn't detect any honey at all, the stuffing seemed like it had been deep fried given how hard the outer surface was on the plus side the beef and the yorkshire were ok as was the pint of bitter and the bread pudding, i don't like to make a scene so we just paid the bill and left with my wife saying well we wont go there again
Good service. Good beer. Good food
Good pub food , friendly atmosphere
It wasn’t that great. Myself and a family member wasn’t too happy with the food!
Pleasant staff, nice atmosphere, my mum enjoyed her Brie and caramelised onion toastie. I however didn’t really enjoy my sweet potato enchilada but that’s probably just down to personal taste. I would go again but try something different from the menu.
Excellent staff, food is overpriced for the quality and size
