About The Crossing
Contemporary pub dining and cask ale house.
The only reason you didn't get full marks on food and drink was down to not having the pudding we all wanted, malteser cheesecake,
Really lovely service, only let down by the length of time from order to food arrival (which there was only one other table so didn't expect to wait as long as we did), but overall great.
Very interesting menu and excellent freshly made food
Great food Excellent service Thank you
Brilliant night out. Can’t fault it
Our writing group recently attended for lunch. We preordered the food so when we arrived it was ready. The meals were delicious and excellent value for money. Likewise the service was perfect. Thanks to The Crossing for catering for us so well.
Service fast, polite and attentive, food also delicious and plentiful.
Loved the Kebab House starter, the carvery wasn't as nice. Other guests throughly enjoyed their meals also. The fish and chips in particular! Thanks.
A Truly lovely evening..The staff pure quality...food very good...great ambience.....thank you..
Had a lovely lunch at The Crossing. The £7 lunch menus is good value for money with decent portions. Would definitely go again.
Enjoyable meal and varied menu. Would be nice to have some salads or healthier options on the menu
Really excellent food. Very impressed. Well done!
Customer services really poor in restaurant. Had to go up after waiting long periods of time to get someone to take food order, get dessert and bill. Staff were nice but just didn’t seem bothered about serving any one. Very strange for a place I went a year ago and service was amazing. For the price of the food I would expect good customer service.
Xmas gathering with 6 friends, our table was booked for 8pm. The starters were poor, the mains were much better but the service was terrible. We have used this venue several times and the service has always only been average but on this occasion we must have waited at least 1 hour between courses and then at the end of the evening having spent £250 on food and drink they couldn't wait for us to vacate the restaurant at 11:30pm asking us to leave as they wanted to close the bar..
usually very good but not so for the works xmas party unfortunately. Table not set, starter cold, no vegetables with the turkey dinner and when i emailed regarding the experience have just got completely ignored. Very very disappointing
Lovely place and lovely food but incredibly slow service. After several visits this seems to be the standard and is no reflection of the wait staff but seems to be the culture of the place. However this does put you off visiting if you are pushed for time
Service and food were excellent - however only three staff on this close to Christmas? Took ages for food to arrive. The waitress was rushed off her feet! Good venue though and we enjoyed our evening.
V. Good food and a lovely feel to the pub. Also it is decorated very nicely it’s a good atmosphere.
found that some of the staff were a bit rude and the menu choice could be more..
Food was delicious, everyone needs to try the chocolate orange brownie! Service was also brilliant, nothing too much trouble.
Food and atmosphere were lovely. The service lacked a bit as the waitress for got a few things.
Lovely staff and tasty food
Great food, great atmosphere. Lovely dog friendly cosy pub with great selection of ales and spirits.
Everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was very good and generally the food is value for money.
Nice food and atmosphere.
