About The Crossing
Contemporary pub dining and cask ale house.
Food was delayed some what.
Service with a smile! Great food!
Food was lovely (Derbyshire Picnic Platter) service was great. Booked in the middle of a sunny Saturday so not many people in, will definitely go again!
Came as a group of 7 on a busy Friday. Food came all together and was excellent quality, nobody could fault it. Service was great, a fab team. Will always come again.
One of our favourite places in burton.always excellent food and service.keep up the good work...,
Service was good, also very good value for money, was a little disappointed we weren’t told what the kitchen had run out of as I decided I wanted the pork chops to be told they had run out to then decide I wanted the lamb to which again they had ran out of although, when I had decided to have the fish and chips I was really impressed and really enjoyed it but maybe would’ve been nice to have been told the things that the kitchen had ran out of there fore I could’ve chosen my meal a lot quicker
Really enjoyed our food, great service and we will definitely be going again.
Thank you for a fantastic evening. The food and service were brilliant and you really made my sisters hen night just what she wanted. Thanks again for being so accommodating with decorating the table for us and also the lovely personal touch with the chalkboard on the table.
we came for dinner, were disappointed with what came out, I order from the "Principal Dishes" the smoky pork crockpot. at £13.95 I expected more for my money and definitely expected more meat. I don't feel it lived up to its descritption on the menu at all. My friend ordered the homity pie and was also disappointed by its size, a small sliver of pie, rather than an actual pie. these dishes were more like lunchtime menu size not dinner for 14 quid size.
My fiance and I are regulars at The Crossing and we therefore decided to book an area for the evening of our joint Hen and Stag do. I found it easy to book and the staff were very accommodating - it was easy to communicate over email or face-to-face. When we arrived, tables and chairs had been arranged for the number of people and a table was ready for our food order. It was a lovely surprise to find a message and some sweets to welcome us. I had pre-ordered some pizzas and chips which arrived at the time we had ordered them for and everyone commented on the lovely food. We felt very welcome throughout the whole evening. It was the perfect way to end a brilliant day. Thank you! :)
Excellent all round
Lovely staff and gorgeous food. Lovely atmosphere.
It was a very hot day so we decided to eat outside instead. Inside was way to hot and some sort of air con would have been nice. Apart from that was great
Great food and service but drinks are too expensive.
The food and the service was very good at the Crossing. We enjoyed our dining experience.
Unfortunately we were 15 minutes late arriving for our booking. We were told because of this the kitchen had closed and they were unable to serve us. We offered to order straight away and skip starters but the supervisor was not interested and was unwilling to serve us any food. I found the experience very poor, if we had turned up 15 minutes earlier I would have expected that amount of time to get drinks and review the menu so I am at a loss as to why the kitchen had closed. Needless to say we won’t be coming again! We went across the road to the Favourite Thai who were very welcoming and serve excellent authentic Thai food.
Food was tasty but expensive for size of serving.
Food lovely but expensive and no salad with meal.long wait for food.
Lovely food and beer
Food is usually very good, but service is notoriously slow at the Crossing. As long as you know you will have a wait, its a great place to eat.
Our booking was for 14 people, to deal with the number you did in the way you did was fantastic. Thank you...and the pie was outstanding!
Some air con in dining room or decent blinds as very hot at sunset.
Such slow service. Waited 15 minutes for drinks then 25 minutes for starters, 30 minutes for mains to which we asked for the burger to be cooked a little more. It should have been 5 minutes more but they decided to cook a fresh one. That meant waiting another 30 minutes whilst me and my father finished our meals. The icing on the cake though was when my mother received her meal, it was the pulled pork burger when she actually wanted the Stilton burger. She had a bit of it but she doesn't like bbq sauce so she went hungry. So disappointed, they took the meal off the bill but nothing else which should of based on all of our experience.
Another great meal
