The Croft House Town Kitchen & Bar providing city dwellers and urbanites a place to call their ‘local’.
Breakfast begins with fresh barista made coffee, an exquisite continental buffet and à la carte café dining. By day, café-style food is a mix of grab-to-go and à la carte lunch items, with locally sourced Wolff coffee served from the dedicated Croft House Window. Afternoons extend to an impressive charcuterie menu, which can be enjoyed with wine pairing.
By night The Croft House transforms into a bar-centric bistro-style restaurant, focusing on authentic Modern Australian, share platters, specialty drinks and our extensive selection of craft beers.
In essence, Modern Australian is the story of ‘abundance’. Our land abounds in nature’s gifts, with golden soil and wealth for toil, with beauty rich and rare. It’s a celebration of us and everything that surrounds, reflected in a refined modern way.
I have ordered at least four items from the menu. Food is reasonably priced, freshly prepared/cooked, tasty and very satisfying. Staff is courteous and pleasant. Service is prompt. Last but not least, I cannot fault what so far is their strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols (e.g., taking patrons' contact details, distancing of spray-sanitized tables, availability of anti-bacterial hand wash, clean floors).

Very disappointing to be honest. No atmosphere, overpriced, expected a lot more having viewed the menu before booking and seen the prices.

Dissappointed not in main resteraunt for Xmas Dinner which we booked , squeezed in down stairs to a lesser meal .

We had the porchetta and steak and they were perfect dishes. Absolutely yummy.
We waited 10 minutes to be served when it wasn’t busy, and a table seated a while after us had their order taken first. We were not offered any water when seated or when our order was taken. The meal itself was enjoyable.
tables are very small and close together, not a very good dining experience when you feel like you are to close for comfort
Again there seemed to be a lack of staff on the floor which meant service to remove dishes and refill drinks was slow and frustrating. Music was awesome and food was great quality .second time have experienced service issues.😏
Two staff on only made it a slow service
I booked online, and called up to check the booking was fine and confirm. We arrived and no one had noted down my reservation. Very disappointing.
I had booked on line & they didn't have that & was told they don't take bookings for breakfast on the weekend. I had also tried to call that morning & no one answered the phone. We were then told they only had an outside table as in house guests had priority. It had been raining & looked like it would again so we were about to go somewhere else & they found us an Inside seat. Then Emily offered us a coffee to apologise for the mix up with the booking, which was great. Emily provided great, friendly service.However the bar attendant who came to talk to us about champagne was disengaged & didn't want to be there. The food was tasty & timings for meals wasn't bad. So overall it was a bit disorganised, but Emily saved the day & we will go back another time.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the food as well.
Nice menu with some interesting dishes. The fish and lentil curry was superb and my partner enjoyed the spatchcock. Good service and we will go back.
I thought the food was really nice but unfortunately the service was terrible. I constantly had to go looking for someone to help. I use a walking cane so it wasn’t easy for me to keep getting up. I would have ordered more drinks if the staff were more attentive. Shame because it is a good location with nice food
The fish meal was beautiful. The brisket that I tasted also seemed very nice.
Unfortunately our booking was not passed on to the Croft House but they made the effort to seat 7 of us without a problem. The young man who looked after us was excellent and the food was very good. The barman had to google how to make a martini and actually had to be shown how to make this cocktail.
We had left a phone message saying that we wanted to book for the Christmas Buffet and the email came back to say that we were booked. We are new to Brisbane so weren't aware that The Croft House was a completely different thing and so were extremely disappointed when we arrived at the restaurant to find that we weren't booked for the Christmas Buffet after all. We would not have chosen to have our Christmas at the Croft House had we known that was what we had booked. We were extremely disappointed with the experience and thankful that were weren't bringing guests.
