About The Croft House
The Croft House Town Kitchen & Bar providing city dwellers and urbanites a place to call their ‘local’.
Breakfast begins with fresh barista made coffee, an exquisite continental buffet and à la carte café dining. By day, café-style food is a mix of grab-to-go and à la carte lunch items, with locally sourced Wolff coffee served from the dedicated Croft House Window. Afternoons extend to an impressive charcuterie menu, which can be enjoyed with wine pairing.
By night The Croft House transforms into a bar-centric bistro-style restaurant, focusing on authentic Modern Australian, share platters, specialty drinks and our extensive selection of craft beers.
In essence, Modern Australian is the story of ‘abundance’. Our land abounds in nature’s gifts, with golden soil and wealth for toil, with beauty rich and rare. It’s a celebration of us and everything that surrounds, reflected in a refined modern way.
Very limited boring lunch menu
I would like more food options. Although, I do appreciate the menu being updated frequently. The atmosphere is really good and attractive.
Really enjoyed our NYE dinner package at Crofthouse. Food was excellent, atmosphere was great and we enjoyed the experience as well as the meal. Service was great, but did feel our courses were served a little too quickly. Overall it was a great start to our evening.
It is always a pleasure to dine at The Croft House. Food is of the highest quality with a good variety to choose from. The staff are always professional and friendly. Looking forward to my next visit to see the Summer lunch menu as when visiting in November the lunch menu was too heavy for a 'light lunch'. HOWEVER, on saying this they did bring me out something lighter from the kitchen. Well worth a visit if in the city, particularly on a Friday night when they have live music.
Excellent food and wine. Great value for lunch. thanks again.
The food range for lunch is limited but the salmon is always perfect. It would be nicer if the tables were larger and more space between each, particularly when you have people on phones and talking loudly around you.
Price was very expensive for what you received. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Great location. Live music. Great food. Good prices. Great place to come with a great atmosphere
We had duck and it was overcooked not pink at all. Flavours were still good but for 42 per main not good value for money. We had a discount option which made it acceptable but at full price it would not have been value for money.
This is a Citibank Rewards Dining restaurant https://www.citibankdining.com.au/restaurants/The-Croft-House/ . Although the staff initially had no idea you were, the manager went out of her way to ensure we received our bottle of wine. Yes, people noticed and it made us feel really cheap, however the manager was very pleasant and catered for us. The food was quite lovely and the atmosphere with the live music is a nice touch.
What a wonderful quaint restaurant to dine in. Our host Gary was friendly, attentive and knew the menu quite well. We ordered the gin cured salmon and grilled Octopus for entree based on his recommendation and they were divine. The portion of the main course was rather generous and the price were not too pricey. Between the 9 of us we ordered the Pork Belly, Seared Duck, Lamb Rump, New York Strip, salmon fillet, Balmain bug and sand crab Capellini with chilli. Everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. We couldn't fault it even if we tried. We ordered caramelized banana and received White mousse strawberry jelly as a complimentary dessert because we were there for a small celebration. The mousse was on the sweet side for us but i'm sure would suit someone with a sweet tooth perfectly. Will definitely come back.
I have been to many different hotels, motels & resorts, i guess you have good experiences and you have your bad experiences. A booking had been made for breakfast, upon arriving to The Croft House for breakfast, there was a man at the entrance desk, i gave my last name & made him aware i had a booking. He looked at his computer then pointed to a table, said to me and my family, go and sit there. We have never been to this restaurant therefore no idea how it runs. We sat there for 9 minutes before the guy came over to our table with a menu, we asked him if we go up to the bar and order, is there a buffet breakfast, he pointed to an area for continental breakfast and someone would come to our table for order. The women were pleasant and helpful, as i am a accord plus member, i wasnt even asked if i was a member so that he could discount our meal, this was done from front reception desk. I was absolutely disappointed with his customer service, therefore i would not return there for a meal, i may consider staying elsewhere before returning to The Sebel Hotel.
Service was fantastic
Food was delicious & love the ambience of the restaurant. Friends want to go back.
The entree and dessert was excellent. The mains were average though.
Well lit and fresh decor. Very helpful and bright staff.
Strategic location within a stone throw away from the Queen Street mall, delicious baked juicy salmon with tasty crusty skin, and last but not least, great service from the friendly staff!
Hi Unfortunately when we turned up for our breakfast the staff had no idea of our prior booking and hurried to put some tables together to fit us in. We ordered coffees but then had to call the staff over after a long wait to take the food order. The food itself was nice but the service let the experience down.
Excellent service and delicious food
A nice dinner.. good and attentive service.. very happy
Generally all okay although the chef overcooked one of our guests meals.
The drinks arrived randomly and not as per the order. Some of the attendees who came last had their drinks prior to others who had ordered and paid.
Worse services we had in Accor chain restaurant... after the newly renovation, we throught we will try the new menu. Waitress saw us coming in with a pram, faces already looking sour, not to mention everything went wrong with out simple order. Amy (our waitress) told us we can not and the kitchen would not change any thing on their menu, so if you would like to swab your side salad for a steam vegetable for your child, you just have to order a extra. Which we did, then not only the side salad didn't turn up, either our steam vegetables was delivered correctly.. then Amy didn't want to deal with us, she send her male colleague over, ruly asked us, "what's the matter now, come on, tell me what's wrong now"... Shocked with the type of service.... more then just horrible
