About The Creameries
Our aim is to create thoughtful and delicious menus based on the seasonal and ethically sourced ingredients.
We work with trusted suppliers who share our values and ethics and try to shop local wherever we can – our fish comes from Out of the Blue in Chorlton and our meat is all wild, supplied to us by Littlewoods Butchers in Stockport. Our veg comes from Manchester Veg People, Organic North and Unicorn Grocery in Chorlton.
Our menus are shaped by British seasons and food traditions and we work hard to waste as little as possible – we pickle and preserve what we can’t use immediately and work with our suppliers to help them avoid waste by taking what they have available.
Sample menus are available but please note they are subject to change according to what is available at market.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Creameries soon.
The food all tasted lovely and while we appreciate this was a tasting menu, the portion size was too small. Even with 5 courses, we both left hungry. We ordered the matched wines but one of them didn't come at the same time as the course and we had to ask for it. Given that the portion size was so small, the food went cold in the time it took for the wine to arrive. Finally, the matched wines were all very nice but again, the measure of wine was smaller than we have had elsewhere - probably about 50ml or less per wine. We had booked this table a long time in advance and looked forward to this meal but unfortunately we were disappointed.
We really enjoyed the food and its presentation. We decided to have the wine flight because we thought the price of your wines by the bottle were very expensive - unnecessarily so - more than London prices ! Unfortunately our clothes smelt very heavily of cooking when we got home- I assume this was because of the open kitchen - maybe you are not aware of this but ventilation would be an improvement as dry cleaning is expensive !
A wonderful very fitting birthday celebration for my husband, delicious and different, and memorable and special - thank you for having us.
Really great, modern food & love the English white wine.
Best meal I’ve had for many years
Fabulous flavours, memorable menu and applaudable philosophy and approach to seasonal food. Portion sizes felt squeezed at times (surely we didn't need to split the dipping bowl quantity of broth between two?) but none the less we all left feeling nicely full. Wines were beautiful and pared perfectly. Thanks Creameries.
The main course I had (wood pigeon broth) was the worst looking dish I’ve been seen- although it didn’t taste too bad. We go out for lunch every month ) at least) and came here on the basis of a review by Jay Rayner. However there was not much we liked (seating, atmosphere). Tbh the pricing was fair for what we had but were we full? No. Were we satisfied, sadly no.
We had a wonderful lunch - stunning food, amazing tastes and really good value.
Service was quite slow and we didn't understand why we had to wait until the other 1pm booking showed up before we could order.
We will be going again, Lots of care went into our plates of food and the service was individual and well informed.
Emily Rose, Jacob and Ruu are absiolutely wonderful. Fantastic service and great people. The tasting menu was delicious and wine exceptional. A really special evening. Congrats. Kudos to producing some of the best bread I've ever tasted!
Absolutely lovely restaurant with amazing food and wine pairing, all of which is nicely sourced (a lot of local, organic, ethically grown, etc). The presentation of the plates is always amazing to see. Very friendly staff and nice ambience. I love the plants all over the ceiling. Very possibly my favourite restaurant in Manchester. (Bear in mind that this is a culinary experience, not a place to stuff yourself after running a marathon ;-)
The food was wonderful and the restaurant was not too overcrowded so was full but still had a nice atmosphere. The service was good although we had to ask for our wine pairing with one of the courses so we had pretty much finished eating by the time it arrived. The food was wonderful, our only comments were we felt like maybe the course intended as the main should have been a little bigger- all courses were very small which is fine given the number of courses but it seemed that maybe that one should have been slightly larger and the boards showing the set menu was slightly changed after we arrived but no one told us what we were having so we just had to wait and see what we were getting.
We had a brilliant night - the food memories will stay with us for a while and we had great service. Would definitely recommend to friends
Fantastic food, lovely atmosphere and great service. Can't wait to return!
Excellent menu and and service. Really good value and we will definitely be back
Great food and paired wine
Excellent! We’ll be back soon. Mary Ellen even stopped by at the end to give us the recipe to the delicious soup! What an asset The Creameries is for Chorlton.
Great people and original food ideas. And great prices for meals of real quality. Watch out for the triffids.
A very enjoyable experience. Staff are friendly and welcoming. We had the supper menu. Every course was beautifully presented and the staff took the time to describe the dish upon presentation. The food was varied and delicious. We also had a bottle of Malbec with the meal which was very pleasant. The restaurant is small but well set out with plenty of space between diners to have an intimate meal. The time between courses was just right and we never felt rushed Thoroughly recommend and we will definitely go back.
Great wine, bar snacks and service. Wish there was bigger portions for the snacks though.
It was our first visit. We had a very pleasant evening with exciting flavours and surprising dishes.
Had an ace lunch in The Creameries. Loved everything about it. 10/10
A wonderful Sunday lunch, inventive food, well recommended wines, charming staff. You are my new favourite restaurant in Manchester!
