About The Conservatory
We are delighted to introduce a stunning new addition to the Resort, the River Room Conservatory. A magnificent bespoke glass creation that perfectly frames the stunning setting of the cascading River Maine and lush parkland. A most splendid backdrop in which you can enjoy the decadence of a traditional Afternoon Tea.
Afternoon Tea is served daily 12.00-17.30
Very disappointed... it wasn’t even served in china cups. 2 egg sandwiches & 1ham. Not very exciting. I certainly will not be recommending ... it was a special afternoon tea for my sisters 60th birthday. I have had better selection & service from little cafes, served in china cups with much better attention from staff.
We had a brilliant relaxing day at the Spa finished with a gorgeous afternoon tea.
Very enjoyable experience. Had a lovely window seat over looking the beautiful gardens and river. Service was impeccable, meeting our dietary requirements was no issue. Such a relax and tranquil setting. A wonderful treat.
A very pleasant afternoon tea with a view of the river. The food was delicious and the service was very attentive.
The staff told us the Spa had incorrectly rescheduled our appointment to 3pm instead of 2.30pm and had us wait. In fact looking at the visit time now which says "2.30pm" it looks like the lady in the Conservatory was perhaps lying to us because she didn't have a table. Service took a long time. The chairs and tables were not comfortable to sit at - chairs to high for the tables and the table legs made it difficult to fit 4 pairs of feet under. Egg and onion and ham and cheese sandwiches were stale.
We Had the most amazing time here. Honestly the nicest Afternoon Tea i have ever had. Would recommend it. Great choice of teas. Very impressed.
Having experienced dining in Galgorm at wedding receptions and functions where food has been excellent I was disappointed in the quality of food served at afternoon tea. Three of us were there to celebrate my mother's birthday. Our little cups of soup were lukewarm and the bread was hard in the egg sandwiches. There were too many sweet items and not enough sandwiches. Very little jam and cream served with the scones. Although the setting is beautiful I do not plan to return for afternoon tea.
A lovely afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings looking forward to coming back. Thank you
very disappointed , 70th birthday cake that cost £100 was damaged under the care of staff , staff tried to inform us that is how they received it , thankfully we had made a point of showing the cake to front desk staff on delivery , dinning !! two round tables pushed together on a bend for a group of lady's in their 70 with hearing difficulties!!! , selection of patisseries was limited , staff presented cupcake with a candle to wrong person!!!!,
Once again my visit to the Conservatory for afternoon tea was an enjoyable experience. Staff as usual were pleasant and attentive
Fantastic food and great service a really enjoyable experience
Great atmosphere and friendly attentive staff!!!😁😀
food is overpriced
We loved our afternoon tea! Food and drink was amazing and service was excellent with knowledgeable and attentive staff. Our only problem was it was too hot at our table but it was unusual weather for Northern Ireland that day. It would be so lovely if there was an outside area to have afternoon tea in case we get some more sunny weather!
A very enjoyable afternoon tea. Georgeous window waterfall view, lovely food and very attentive service. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
Really enjoyed my afternoon tea in river room lovely experience
Absolutely love afternoon tea I the conservatory, such a treat & treated like royalty. Highly recommended
Lovely staff who were very friendly and helpful. The service was excellent and the food fabulous. The onky criticism - the conservatory was very hot, due to the good weather, but there were no blinds on the windows and no windows were opened.
Everything was outstanding especially the staff. Very friendly and chatty and really went over and above
A perfect setting for afternoon tea. The wonderful pianist playing and singing in the background was a wonderful accompaniment. would highly recommend.
Lovely as everything was, we all felt that the service was slow, and an opportunity to sell to us was missed. We had ordered a bottle of prosecco, between 9 girls, which was poured at the start, but then never topped us. We totally forgot about the rest till we found a drop at the end. Had the service been more attentive, we would easily have been persuaded into another bottle as several of us had assumed the 1st was done, and no one else wanted any. Slow to bring out the scones etc as we were all starving! Also, some of the girls complained the soup was cold.
first time there and very impressed. would love to go back.
The conservatory was lovely, the tea was delicious. I had decided to take my mum as I have heard about how great the Afternoon Tea at Galgorm is, I had stated that my mum is allergic to sea food and to have no fish provided for us. Instead we were given an extra quiche, which was delicious, however my mum took a bad reaction while having the savoury foods, the same reaction she would take if she consumed sea food. I believe this could be due to cross contamination or maybe some of the other foods contained sea food (as the menu was all fancy names so we couldn’t tell). Unfortunately my mum was unable to enjoy the afternoon tea, as she took ill during our time there, which is very disappointing, as I had ordered the voucher as a Christmas present. From this experience, I don’t think we would return unless there were products that had no fish at all or if the staff were made aware and trained more of the dangers of cross contamination.
The dining experience was nice. It was a quiet day around the hotel so more relaxing than most. It was a long time since we had returned and although there is an abundance of things to enjoy around the hotel we had been put off by the charges of rooms so this time had only made use of the day package.
Lovely atmosphere and food though only disappointment was the sandwiches in the afternoon tea. Expect better with such a hotel
