About The Conservatory
Join us for Afternoon Tea at The River Room Conservatory. A magnificent bespoke glass creation that perfectly frames the stunning setting of the cascading River Maine and lush parkland. A most splendid backdrop in which you can enjoy the decadence of a traditional Afternoon Tea.
Afternoon Tea is served daily 12.00-17.30
The galgorm is amazing and the staff are outstanding. My favourite afternoon tea experience.
Jordon was excellent
Very nice setting, chairs not very comfortable- felt squeezed in. Good range of food options. Slightly aired sandwiches. A little chaotic which defeats the purpose of an afternoon tea
Food and location was brilliant. The staff were friendly although we had to keep getting up and finding someone to serve us and we would order drinks that didn’t come. Overall was a lovely afternoon.
Absolutely magical experience, I will definitely come back again.
Mainly and previously, excellent. This occasion, however, 3.5 stars. I am a very plain eater, so requested plain sandwiches without mayo. Soup and cottage pie were incredible. My perception of the bread was that it had either been sitting a while or it had been defrosted. Chicken, bacon and lettuce wrap came without bacon. I queried this after my first mouthful was consumed and the wrap was opened. Our server without hesitation confirmed that she had already had a discussion with the chef in relation to this and the chefs decision was not include any bacon in the wrap. (If a discussion had already taken place, would it not be correct to query that with me?) The original wrap had a bacon/mayo mix (which my partner had and also contained no bacon) which as above, was not suitable and the bacon they had left was apparently too hard. Apparently our server had a discussion with the chef before bringing out the slate of sandwiches and in her own words, 'The chef said the customer would complain if the bacon was too hard and I said to him, yes, but he may also complain if there isn't any bacon in the wrap'. I found the whole thing odd. I wasn't complaining as such, I just wanted to make them aware that it was included on the menu but not delivered on the plate. It was only once I heard the story, I found myself quite annoyed that it was delivered without mentioning anything. Glass of prosecco given to each of us as a way of an apology. Sweet selection was great, but felt a little let down, as sweet treats were ordered for the room on arrival.. and at afternoon tea, the next day.. they were the same sweet treats. So.. although I've grumbled.. the location.. the views.. the decoration.. the atmosphere all superb and I would still recommend a visit.
An amazing 'afternoon tea' experience, the staff at Galgorm were so amazing, warm and welcoming. They made our experience all the better.
Lovely afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings. It was my friends birthday and the staff brought her out a cupcake on a slate plate with happy birthday wrote on it. Was a lovely surprise. Would highly recommend.
Delicious food great service
We had a lovely time here! Super helpful staff lovely atmosphere and super amenities. Afternoon tea was lovely! Only thing that I would recommend is a wee list of what is included in the afternoon tea would be nice.
I have been lucky enough to visit and stay in the Galgorm on a number of occasions and I am always surprised that the hotel is 4 star rated and not 5 star. It is easily one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The afternoon tea in the conservatory was excellent, food, service etc cannot be faulted. Thank you!
Beautiful setting Excellent customer service
Stunning setting and view. Great atmosphere and service. Food was sublime. We had afternoon tea and although it's one of the more expensive ones we've had it is the best by far. I have a large appetite and didn't think I would be satisfied after it however we were both stuffed! Can't recommend enough.
Absolutely lovely afternoon, with very attentive staff and a fantastic selection of savoury and sweet goodies
Absolutely first class service
Beautiful presentation and lovely staff would 100% come back. Food was delicious
The food was quite ok the wrap unfortunately had wet lettuce which made the entire wrap damp and quite tasteless, the sandwiches were average, the cottage pie was lovely the scones were lovely however the jam had a setting skin on top from sitting out too long. If the food could meet with the premises galgorm would be on a whole new level however for years the food has just been ok
Afternoon tea was very different - really enjoyed it. Staff very helpful and friendly. We got a discount as we were staying in the hotel which was brilliant value. The scenery over to the river was lovely - an ideal setting.
We were seated for 30 minutes before we got served given we had a time limited to stay this was to long to wait. Sandwiches had fingerprints in them. Salmon sandwiches were hard along the edges. No butter with the scones. Had to ask for fresh cup when tea changed.
Soup was amazing! Very enjoyable afternoon tea overall. The only thing I would change is I would have preferred a traditional cake stand as the chest of drawers took up a lot of room on the table. We had a great view of the river and the room had a lovely atmosphere
The only criticism I have of the experience is that twice I have sat behind the pillar and both times have felt forgotten about by the staff. They were excellent whilst attending to us however. Maybe it would be with reminding them that it is sight is not it of mind.
Fantastic experience. Service was second to none and the atmosphere was beautiful! Will be back again!
A lovely afternoon tea. Staff were very attentive and nothing was too much to ask.
I can’t fault the service we received at the conservatory for afternoon tea for my daughters 18th Birthday. Would highly recommend & I most definitely hope to return.
