About The Cock Inn Epsom
The Cock Inn re-opened in March 2015 following a £500,000 refurbishment which has seen this beautiful pub returned to its roots, not just in name. Perched atop a hill, The Cock Inn is another great spot to enjoy delicious, quality, fresh, seasonal food and a proper pint, whether you’re with friends, family or colleagues.
Cold overpriced food.
I stumbled across this little gem of a place whilst looking for somewhere to stop for a Sunday roast on our way home from a weekend away. I was lucky enough to book a table and we couldn’t have been more pleased. Food was great - the chaps that serve you genuinely seem to care and obviously enjoy working there :) spot on - well done guys!
Really lovely staff, beautiful setting and great food and drink. I would highly recommend a visit!
This was my third visit and I keep hoping the food would get better as the staff are very pleasant and helpful. They seem to be let down by the chef/kitchen. After waiting quite a while yet again my main meal was sent back as the middle of the nice tasting fish cake was cold along with the cold poached egg. Waitress was very apologetic and returned with it warmer but egg was lukewarm. At the end of the meal the waitress advised me that mine had been deducted from the bill. Wine was good though!
Lovely food, service with a smile from Julie and her team, where nothing is too much trouble. Always a lovely welcome, delicious food and that’s why we come back for more. Can’t beat it.
Great Sunday lunch with the family and the dogs. we aew always well looked after, especially by Julie.
Lovely friendly pub and ideal place for dog owners as dog friendly and catered for!
Lovely atmosphere professional service. Amazing food. Been here in the past knew I wanted my mother's day here well done guys!
It was ok, nothing special. The food was pretentious, but was average overall. There was nothing particularly standout about the place.
Came here for early mother’s day lunch on 30th March 19. Inside pub was extremely warm, we had to open windows. We arrived at 1.30pm and ordered food by 1.45pm and got our food by 3pm. This was too long to wait. The food itself was below average, fish and chips didn’t have any flavour, everything lacked seasoning. Staff were run off their feet. Overall we won’t be returning here.
Good food, nothing too exciting, pleasant and attentive staff, we had a nice time enjoying a long chat. ONly drawback was being a bit chilly, but when we asked to move somewhere warmer, this was achieved with no problem. Still a bit draughty but certainly warmer than previous !
Best pub in the area by far. Great food, great staff, we always enjoy stopping by. Only complaint is that it can be difficult to get a table if you haven't booked in advance. Hey ho, I guess too many people know about this great pub. Worst kept secret in surrey.
The staff are welcoming and can’t do enough for you. The menu is superb and really good value. Go there and get your red mist card now.
Excellent food and service. Very attentive and conscientious as one person had allergy issues. Would definitely go back. Plenty of well trained staff
Lovely food and great service, would highly recommend
All the staff who served us were so friendly and helpful. My friend and I had a really lovely relaxed lunch. The food was just perfect.
Overall - very pleasant and enjoyable
The food was great but we waited an hour for our mains. Kids were getting restless. Staff were great but it seemed they were short staffed especially as such a lovely day outside and so were serving both in and outside throughout the lunchtime service. This was the only area that i felt that could be improved. Staff were very lovely and apologetic although not their fault.
Lovely food, easily catering for our allergies. It was a very busy lunchtime so the staff were rushed off their feet but we enjoyed our meal very much.
Service was brilliant as always. The kitchen was running out of certain dishes so we were asked what we would like and managed to save us some prawns and the veggie roast. Everything was lovely but we were missing carrots from the roast.
The staff were amazing and extremely accommodating. They even sang happy birthday to my mum when they brought out her cake!! The roast was honestly one of the best pub roasts I have had. The beef was still pink and the potatoes had excellent flavour. In all, a wonderful experience and I look forward to returning. Thanks again to the team, they were absolutely slammed but still made time for my requests.
Great spot, food was fine, service was great
To be honest I wasn't very impressed I took my wife there for a Valentine's meal and to be perfectly honest I think I would have got a better choice of meals at my normal pub the Rubbing house Don't get me wrong the food was tasty but when my wife ordered the pie and didn't want the seasonal vegetables just carrots we were told they hadn't prepared any So her plate had a small pie on it a small jug of gravy next to it and a cup of chips all for about £16 not good value in my eyes The staff were very pleasant but the place was empty which was a bit strange on Valentine's
Lovely food - outstanding service. Good value.
