About The Cock Inn Epsom
The Cock Inn re-opened in March 2015 following a £500,000 refurbishment which has seen this beautiful pub returned to its roots, not just in name. Perched atop a hill, The Cock Inn is another great spot to enjoy delicious, quality, fresh, seasonal food and a proper pint, whether you’re with friends, family or colleagues.
Went for an evening meal 6 adults and 1 child and I have to say that the staff were excellent with my grandson nothing was too much trouble and the food was excellent. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Very helpful staff and delicious food. This is a favourite local pub. We have quite a few visitors from the USA and France and often take them to the Cock to show them a delightful English country pub.
So easy to book online. Turned up 20 mins early and our table was ready & waiting, even though they were busy. Food is amazing. Went for Sunday lunch and had choice of main menu & 3 different roasts. Service very efficient & friendly, but never felt rushed.
Really lovely meal with good service. Refreshing to have relatively small but good varied menu -around 12 different mains so not too much to dither about! 5 of us all rated food A**
Birthday celebration and we had a great evening it’s a shame the service was slow and due to the hot weather it was very hot in the restaurant, however the staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating.
Excellent friendly service and consistently good quality food in a peaceful countryside setting. Good beer too!
Excellent lunch and service was impeccable!
We have been to The Cock Inn many times for Lunch & evening meals. This was the first time that we were disappointed. My husband had a burger that he said was the worst he had had in a long time I luckily had the liver which was excellent. The service was very poor. We had to ask for our food order to be taken plus we didn’t have a sweet or coffee as we usually would due to giving up on waiting for someone to take our order. We were also getting bombarded by flies (inside the restaurant below the orangery roof) which was very unpleasant!! Now not sure if we want to return.
Fantastic food and really friendly staff. Great service.
Fantastic service and interaction with staff. Very dog friendly. Outstanding food.
A really great find for dog walkers or anyone who wants a good meal and service with a smile! Location right by Headley Common. Or if you simply want a good pub meal with in the country side but not a million miles away eat here!
Good food, service and surroundings
Lovely Saturday lunch in pleasant surroundings. The staff were very attentive and the food was very good. Would certainly come again.
A large family with several young children, took advantage of the pubs hospitality by ordering food, drinks and then walking away without paying. Left the waitresses distraught! Our service was good. Although a number of menu options were not available because of a busy day, out food was just right.
Very friendly , helpful staff as always. Food excellent.
A delicious lunch, my first visit and I shall certainly be returning
Lovely place with really fabulous service and the food pretty good too, dog friendly relaxing all round good :)
The roast dinner was lovely but the salted caramel & banana cheesecake was unbelievably good! Staff were great, very friendly and attentive. Also like that the pub has a dog-friendly section, perfect for after a walk on the heath and it's kept very clean.
Our waitress Imogen was very polite and cheerful. She apologise for the short wait we had for our coming.
We came here for a family birthday lunch and it was brilliant! Everyone who served us was great, very friendly and polite. The food was amazing! It arrived quickly, presented well and tasted delicious. Could not have asked for a better experience, we will all definitely be returning!
We were a party of 30 to celebrate a golden wedding anniversary. We have had nothing but good comments about the whole evening. The staff in particular were friendly and helpful They handled the inevitable little glitches very well. They made the evening very enjoyable.
Really lovely meal and staff great went out of there way to help also very dog friendy so great for us.The only slight fault had to wait a while for our food and it wasnt very hot but really enjoyed it.
The decor was very pleasant, clean, great ambience. Bathrooms very clean so one can assume kitchens too!
After many good meals at the pub, this week we had an appalling meal. The fish was high with ammonia and was off and the liver brought to replace the fish was thick and tough. Whether there has been a change in management and a new chef I don’t know but we won’t be going back there in the near future
