About The Cock Inn Epsom
The Cock Inn re-opened in March 2015 following a £500,000 refurbishment which has seen this beautiful pub returned to its roots, not just in name. Perched atop a hill, The Cock Inn is another great spot to enjoy delicious, quality, fresh, seasonal food and a proper pint, whether you’re with friends, family or colleagues.
Excellent pub food and attentive service although at the pricey end. Welcomes for dogs so will definitely going back!
It was ok but not blown away, roast pork was more fat than meat, order was wrong way round so had to swap items with my wife, expecting more for the price.
Had a delicious Sunday lunch with our two gransdsons Although they were very busy the staff were very attentive and efficient Seems to be very busy on a Sunday so you need to book
Service very slow even though we ate at 5.30pm and the pub wasn’t busy. Had to ask several times for things. When the staff were at the table they were very polite and pleasant. Food pretty good although £60 for the chateau briand is a bit steep. I would go back and eat again.
Staff always friendly and happy. Dogs very welcomed. Enjoyed a sandwich, salad and chips for lunch. Delicious, good quality bread full of fish, generous chips and salad. Good value.
Service was absolutely awful and made it a terrible experience. Only half our finished plates were cleared, waited 37minutes for desert menus, ordered desert only to be told they had sold out of half our order. Coffee was disgusting. Went there as a birthday treat for my Mother but found this ruined her day.
Excellent Sunday roast lunch with a good choice of real ale, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Have eaten here before and The Cock has never disappointed us.
The service was exceptionally slow and we had to chase everything in order fo it to arrive. Won’t be rushing back
A busy and bustling pub, great atmosphere with superb service and delicious food.
First time visiting on the way to family in kent. Lovely food, including the children's menu, healthy and tasty. However not enough staff, which led to delayed service and forgetting parts of the meal. It was very hard to get anyones attention. Would however give the benefit of the doubt and return to try again.
Delicious steak and chips, although more pepper sauce would be good, and the addition of onion rings would make it perfect!
Lovely lunch for my Dads 81st birthday. The veggie lasagne was gorgeous. We will be back
Without doubt the most amazing food, fabulous service and gorgeous venue. And they accept dogs. What more could you ask for?
This is our 5th visit We only retuned as it’s local to give it another chance First visit our food was off, second visit it was burnt Third visit was forgotten 4 th visit one party had a rancid beef burger 5 visit 9 months later our order was forgotten Waited 85 minutes for our meal
Very friendly staff, nice ambiance.
We met friends here for Sunday lunch and we visit was good from start to finish. Food good, staff very attentive and a very pleasant atmosphere.
Will take the dog next time
We recently visited The Cock with 3 kids who had been trapped in a car for a couple of hours. The staff were friendly and tolerant. They provided colouring materials and put us in a part of the pub that wouldn't disturb other people, which made the whole experience more relaxing for us. The kids village play-park was a couple of minutes walk up the road, ideal. The food was decent we had sandwiches which were lovely a fresh and a proper portion. Can recommend.
Best roast i have had in Surrey....highly recommend, all the food was amazing, well done!
Disappointing. Friendly helpful staff, but uninviting starters,. Expensive steak was tough. Sorbets were very sweat but had melted and very soggy. Not very tasty.
Great menu choices, friendly staff & a good atmosphere
We had a round table for 8 people to celebrate my Mum's 85th birthday. It was on a fairly quiet Friday lunchtime. It was just what we wanted, food great, with enough veggie options too. Service was just right and unhurried. We all had a good time.
Overall we enjoyed our visit, the food and drink were good but we all thought a little too much salt had been added in the cooking by the chef. Otherwise a nice lunch in a nice pub. Good service.
Went for an evening meal 6 adults and 1 child and I have to say that the staff were excellent with my grandson nothing was too much trouble and the food was excellent. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Very helpful staff and delicious food. This is a favourite local pub. We have quite a few visitors from the USA and France and often take them to the Cock to show them a delightful English country pub.
