About The Cock Inn Epsom
The Cock Inn re-opened in March 2015 following a £500,000 refurbishment which has seen this beautiful pub returned to its roots, not just in name. Perched atop a hill, The Cock Inn is another great spot to enjoy delicious, quality, fresh, seasonal food and a proper pint, whether you’re with friends, family or colleagues.
Not impressed with the food and drink.. Music which I regard as heavy metal is not suitable for this venue Therefore will not be returning
The staff pulled it together in the end, but they we’re overwhelmed on a sunny Sunday with high demand for food. The atmosphere outside was great and overall would definitely return, as it was our first time.
Service was excellent as always. I am currently trying to reduce my red meat intake, so I did find it a bit difficult to find a dish for my main course. But it was amazing as always!
Very impressed with service. They handled our wake very sensitively. The private room gave us the necessary privacy. The sandwich menu was more generous, original and varied than I had expected. Service was friendly and helpful. Guests all commented positively. I would be happy to recommend The Cock to anyone.
Very good food, however foccacia not the usual slice one would expect (topped with rosemary and salt) but still good. Locally sourced food, although chicken not free range. Service was a little slow and needed to go to the bar to order drinks. Super atmosphere and dogs are welcome!
Fantastic meal and great service
To be told on arrival that many of the menu items were not available was disappointing. Not what you expect on a Saturday night.
Wonderful food and great service. Highly recommended.
A very pleasant early evening dinner to celebrate an anniversary. Nice welcome, pleasant staff, a decent menu and food one would be happy to eat anywhere in the world.
Very friendly service, just a bit slow. Sharing platter was delicious, good food overall. Cheesy bread was delicious. Thanks for having us.
Pleasant and helpful service
The young staff were excellent. The food was fine despite a few things not being available because it was a Sunday evening following a busy weekend.
Unable to find fault. Top quality all round, with all aspects of service exceptional.
Very slow service, disappointing sandwiches. So big , very hard to eat, roast beef raw instead of rare and egg mayonnaise sloppy and bread had margarine rather than butter. They did give us a complimentary coffee. Must have hit a bad day!!!
Service was poor only 2staff
Excellent service. Delicious Sunday Roast with a huge side portion of a varied of vegetables.
Group booking for 11, food excellent & enjoyed by all
Highly recommend the slow cooked lamb shank - very tasty and tender. Unfortunately ran out of the vegetarian curry.
This was the first time we had visited The Cock Inn and we were really impressed. The staff were very helpful and attentive (not overly so) and the food was excellent.
Very attentive staff. Good portions. Varied selection of food.
We are regular customers and have always had decent meals and good service but yesterday I had an outstanding stew and exceptionally nice wine
Always a lovely experience here!
We visited on a Friday evening, the restaurant was only about a third full but took 25 minutes to get a drinks menu. Our meals were ok but nothing special. There only seemed to be one waitress bringing drinks , food, taking more orders and clearing the tables. We ordered desserts and coffees and shortly after (about 10.30) felt we were being encouraged to pay up and leave.
