I had a great dinner at the Coburg! The food was really tasty and well prepared, the service was very friendly and they even prepared a surprise for me (as it was my birthday). I can really recommend everybody staying in Dublin to visit this place for a dinner!
5 star everything! They took care of us a lot for my partner's birthday. Champagne with strawberries and a happy birthday macaroon plate to finish. Absolutely wonderful!
Great food and awesome service! Thanks!
Just amazed at how wonderful the entire staff was! They made a special night even more special! Highly recommend!
Had lunch after NCH event. Main course was a little slow arriving. People who apparently arrived after us got order before us. Overall enjoyable meal.
Good experience, great place. My schnitzel was a touch chewy...but still good. (Being an Aussie, it’s a popular dish in Australia...and highly rated) Would happily come back.
Very nice room. Good service. Solid food
Very good food and Wine. Excellent service. I come back
The 'Pre-theatre' menu is incorrectly priced as it can be less expensive to select the same starter and main course from the a la carte menu than choose the fixed price 'pre-theatre' menu. I dined there pre-concert in NCH on a Friday and then again the following Tuesday and the 'pre-theatre' menu was exactly the same selection each day. The 'risotto of the day' does not seem to vary. Very poor vegetarian selection In the bar: Not all the beers that appear on the menu are in fact in stock! Despite ordering a Schweppes tonic water we were not informed that they do not stock it and the house tonic was served without explanation.
Music n restaurant far too loud @ heavy metal music not suitable for restaurant
Mackerel a wee bit overdone - mustard too strong. Lobster Role might have been given a bit of decorative garnish. New Potatoes superb!
The Coburg is a fantastic place, genuinely great service and the food was prompt and tasty. But.... who had the bright idea to play 80’s rock with an abundance of really loud GUITAR AND ROCK MUSIC! The client base was 50-75 last night and I noted two sets of guests uncomfortable with the wholly inappropriate music! One put her hands over her ears, the other table gestures to her partner that she couldn’t hear him and I asked the waiting staff ‘could you please turn that noise down’ ... perhaps some chilled jazz? Or something more appropriate but loud guitar solos and screeching guitar (I am not joking about this!!!) is ridiculously out of sync with a dining experience... would absolutely come back but would walk out again if this was repeated... hope this helps
The Conrad is on a one way street. The normal approach for anyone coming fron the south east is via Lesson Street, both Upper and Lower. It always appears blocked as there is a bus lane and only one lane for cars. Not once but twice, it has taken me over half an hour to travel the final short distance, due to an obstruction.
Our reservation for a party of 15 for late 3 course lunch was served to adults and children by well presented, obliging staff, they made our afternoon more memorable.
I was there for a birthday dinner. Staff was great and very friendly. Serving was top notch and the meals were fantastic. I'd strongly recommend rack of lamb and mash. I was impressed with every little detail. Thank you for sweet desert at the end, it was a lovely gesture.
Great service and attention. Food very good.
We had an absolutely wonderful time. I was celebrating my 25th birthday and both the host and our server, Isla i believe her name was, were very nice, professional and accommodating. What I would point as a thing of note was the fact that we had to pay for the bread on the table, which seems a bit ludicrous. But that was no fault of the people who served and looked after us. I would definitely come again, but definitely not order again.
Pre theater menue good service and food, plenty of choice to suit all tastes, excellent selection of wine if not a little pricey. Nice pre theater option. Book in advance as the restaurant gets busy quite early.
Everything great. Fillet was ok.
Had a client lunch in this very elegant setting. The wait staff were superb and I would definitely come back for more business meetings.
Excellent food - lovely surroundings and very professional staff
This is a great high class venue but for business lunches it is simply too expensive compared to a range of excellent nearby alternatives. Service needs to be sharpened up just a touch to recognise that business lunches need to be short and sharp. This said, food quality is excellent and the ambience is just right.
