Service was friendly and efficient. The steak we asked for rare. IT came medium. We were in a hurry for the NCH so decided to say nothing about it. The music was ghastly and slightly too loud. This restaurant should aim for a more sophisticated music (classical music - Mozart violin and piano sonatas are so light and uplifting) choice particularly as quite a few diners are going to the concert hall opposition. And it should be quieter so as not to draw attention to itself.
We come here often because my 90 year old aunt prefers a calm environment. The dining room is seldom bustling for lunch which is great. The staff are excellent and with the exception of one bad experience last year, are attentive without being intrusive. I found the music to be too loud and a little distracting on our most recent visit though and would have preferred typical background music - like classical music - instead of music with lyrics. The genre was also unsuited for a restaurant of this type. I asked if the music could be lowered because we were the only people there but this seemed to be problematic for some reason. The music and ambienace in the bar was much better.
Gorgeous restaurant with lovely helpful staff. Would strongly recommend that you provide a 'traditional' Christmas option - turkey, ham, etc. - during the Christmas period. Might not be the most sophisticated option, but all our table were disappointed there wasn't one on the menu!
Overly priced small portions didn't like the menu will never return
Excellent food and better service
In contrast to December 2018, when we had an excellent experierence, on this occasion there were several disappointing features: 1) We had to ask for our coats and scarves to be stored in the cloakroom; 2) Both of the main courses (Turkey & Ham and Steak Frites) were average; 3) The service was slow.
Absolutely wonderful service, food and wine are yum as always... very good spot for Children too. High recommended.
A great dining experience with friendly and professional staff matched with a very relaxed atmosphere.
Really enjoyed our experience. Staff is very professional-attentive but not intrusive.
I ordered a bottle of cote de Rhône from ur wine list which was not available so the next bottle was Chablis which was 62 euro . Thus was very bad value . I am wine specialist so I was upset and not very offered anything in between
A very disappointing evening other than the initial welcome and the early table service. It took forty minutes for two sirloin steaks to arrive at our table following our very good prawn starter. The steaks were poor in quality and not prepared as requested. The complimentary wine did no make up for our planned evening and we paid our check and left early.
I booked dinner a month ago, confirmed and arrived to find no reservation in my name. When I checked the confirmation it was reserved for 6.30 AM. Thanks to helpful , accommodating and friendly staff they put things right. Thank you
Quiet and comfortable setting in the Conrad hotel. The fact that you can have a conversation while dining was very much appreciated. The food is of the highest quality and lovely platted. Service was impeccable throughout, attentive without being intrusive.
Ami looked after us exceedingly well. The service was very attentive but not intrusive. Would consider returning in the future.
Starter bland my main course was wrong waited 10minutes for course I ordered which was bland.Very disappointed as restaurant came recommended
Excellent service from start to finish and a very warm welcome. The roast onion risotto was excellent and worth the visit alone, but the matcha and chocolate fondant was a great finish to a wonderful meal. I will definitely be back in the very near future.
A very enjoyable dinner. Good pre-theatre menu but a bit expensive. Mains were very good but desserts were on the small side. Good ambience in the dining room but the music volume could be lowered to better facilitate conversation. Original booking was for later in the evening but we were early and there was no problem in accommodating us. The staff were very friendly, but not intrusive and the service was prompt but not fussy. The staff are well trained.
Very nice dinner and a great atmosphere
Excellent food and friendly while completely professional service. The music was a little loud and too busy for the ambience of the restaurant and the lighting was slightly too dim but these are minor quibbles. Good value for this standard of catering.
Great service lovely atmosphere
The only pity was that the restaurant did not ask fellow dinners to remove big headphones and put iPads away during their meal. Lovely décor, very tasty food.
