Had a great night with my family for my 65th birthday food and service was first class. Only complaint was the service charge on my bill which I didn't know of till I paid it which was £34.00 I'm all for tipping the staff but to pay that amount is scandalous. 😔
Excellent food and perfect service
Use to eat here regularly, but haven't been for a few months. New menu and significant price increase. Food was ok, but seemed to be more about volume (portions too big and overwhelming) over quality. Think thE standard has slipped a little bit.
Staff team are always great foods perfect thank u very much
Have to say the staff who attended to our table were excellent. James Danielle and Matthew were all brilliant. Thanks guys
Last night was disappointing. Service was very slow, much slower than we are used to. Steak pie pastry was ‘wrong’ is the only word to describe it and the steak within it was very dry and the gravy extremely watery. It seemed like the chef had changed. Was not a good experience. We’ve had much better meals here before.
We all (6 people) got the beef Sunday roast. The veg was lovely however beef was overdone and dry. Great otherwise.
Food and service were great. Portions were huge so we all left some unfortunately! Disappointed that it wasn’t highlighted about the service charge already added to the bill. We were leaving quickly, so we left a tip too - very generous of us without realising!
Everything was delicious except my chicken caesar salad. It was just a massive bowl of dressed lettuce?! I found ONE crouton in it and dispite paying an extra £2 for chicken i couldnt eat it as it smelt absolutley awful. Kids didnt enjoy the milkshakes. It didnt taste like chocolate milkshake at all, tasted like milk with crushed ice so at £2.50 each i would not buy that again. Kids LOVED the nachos! Would be nice to be able to order a medium portion for them. Its either 99p tiny kids size or £10 sharing size. No in between.
New menu was nice, new chips much better flavour but could be crispier. Only improvement would be to offer low carb sides like turnip mash, corn a cob instead of chips and potatoes.
We visit quite regularly however this time the service was terrible. We were a party of 12, 5 of those were young children. After taking our drinks order we waited around 40 minutes for our food order to be taken. We actually had to go and ask someone to take our order. We then ordered 7 deserts, 2 of them were wrong. Even ordering a few refills for some drinks took ages.
Never disappointed, Another great meal , as good as you get for a local restaurant.
Portions too big shame to waste lovely food but couldn’t eat anymore staff very friendly
We have dined a few times with yourselves and we will be back again, very helpful staff and great value for money
I have eating a few times in to your restaurant when I have been over visiting family and I can't complain about it one bit as it's all around brilliant from the staff to the atmosphere and the accommodation is brilliant also. 5 Stars all around for me
We were dining with a coeliac child in our party and were disappointed at the options available. We often dine at our local but it has been a while. The GF menu is varied but not very child friendly please reconsider bringing back baked potato a staple for coeliac’s everywhere!
Was lovely as always
We were celebrating a family birthday, the food was lovely and the service was very quick for a table of 16 people.
Fabulous food as always. The tomahawk steak was amazing and cooked to perfection
fantastic as always
Lovely meal, great atmosphere. Despite being very busy service was quick and food good. Music in bar was a great selection, fun night had by all
