About The Coach at Edenfield
Located on the outskirts of Ramsbottom in the village of Edenfield, this delightful Gastro Pub promises to deliver traditional cuisine with our touch of flair. All are welcome, including walkers, dogs and their well-behaved owners.
It’s the perfect place in which to socialise and relax with friends and family. Warm, comfortable and welcoming. The menu mixes up the traditional and the slightly more progressive with dishes of real ambition – served by our attentive team. A delightful dining experience.
Our versatile and multi-functional space is designed to cater for special occasions, business meetings, private dining and everything in between.
Excellent meal usuing quality ingredients .Friendly and helpful staff Will come again
Fabulous quality food, all prepared and cooked freshly - piping hot! I was also really impressed with the level of customer service from all of the staff, it's obvious that staff training is of real importance at the Coach. I would definitely recommend the Coach to friends and family!
Food and service excellent as always. If anything veg on the Sunday roast needs a bit more substance rather than a few chops carrots and cabbage thrown under the meat..
Excellent service from front of house , although on walking in the chef was displaying some colourful language behind the bar ( some issue with the till ) , not acceptable when you have a child in tow. In my opinion this place lacks atmosphere . The decor has been inherited by the new owners but is quite cold and slightly tacky (sorry!) Sunday roast was ok. Chicken dry with over cooked Yorkshire pudding. Accompanied by 2 tiny roast potatoes and over boiled veg. My husbands lamb was very stringy, certainly worth the money. Second visit here and always an issue with food. Maybe third time lucky!? We normally go the Clarence or to the wagon and horses hawkshaw for a roast . We just wish this place could be our favourite as it’s just a walk away.
Lovely food and great service - staff attentive on arrival and our waiter, Will, was great. Only one other table was occupied in the restaurant early on the Wednesday evening when we ate here. The menu was not extensive but there was plenty of choice for my hubby, less so for people like me who don't eat meat. The food was mostly beautifully presented and delicious. Our only disappointment was the cheese board dessert - there was no selection of dainty crackers, just a pile of cream crackers which, on enquiring, was all they had. Also, there were three large pieces of cheese - I would have preferred smaller portions of a larger selection. The frozen grapes were unpleasant and there were only three small pieces of celery and a little bit of chutney. I did feed these comments back directly to the owner who did genuinely appear to appreciate my views.
We had a very enjoyable early evening dinner and the roast dinners were delicious, as was the sticky toffee pudding. The service provided by all the staff was excellent.
