It’s a place for any occasion and will satisfy any whim.

Beautiful spacious yet cosy, and comfortable bedrooms, only the duvet was too thick and hot. The staff were delightful, friendly and welcoming, and the food delicious. Well done.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Sublime Sunday experience at The Close Hotel it is the 3rd one that we have enjoyed within in the Cotswold group of hotels and will without doubt be booking another.
Staff were lovely, nice atmosphere and the cherry cheesecake was delicious
My two friends (former business colleagues)and I have been coming to the Close for lunch once or twice a year (from Exeter, Guildford and Cambridge - central location!) for 20 years, to contrast how well our companies were doing in a congenial atmosphere. We go back to the days when there was a circular table with magazines where the bar now is. The food, atmosphere and service have always been good, and have improved year on year, (except when Branson owned the Close) and have, in the last couple of years or so, been excellent. We are already thinking about a spring visit, even though we are all retired and I now live in Scotland.
Went for steak night while our kitchen is being installed. Go here with friends as well for dinner. It’s great
What a wonderful last minute stay, would thoroughly recommend to anyone..
Excellent thanks you, in all aspects
Finding the Close Hotel has been a joy. The room we stayed in was very comfortable. There has been lovely attention to detail in the decor and furnishings. Every staff member was charming and helpful and the food for both dinner and breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay again.
The service at the hotel is excellent. All of the staff were professional, attentive and did everything they could to ensure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. Our room was very comfortable, beautifully appointed, and very nicely presented. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Its difficult to suggest how our stay could have been made any better.
We had a really enjoyable stay with you on Friday night. Thank you very much indeed. Food was delicious and portions were perfect size. Bedroom was lovely and quiet and loved the wallpaper. Dog was happy. Husband was happy to be able to watch the rugby, although not with the result! All staff we came across could not have been more friendly and helpful but still keeping a professional attitude. We will definitely come again if we are in your direction. Thank you.
A really lovely restaurant with amazing service. The main course was a little plain but the starter and dessert were excellent. Also the main courses all looked great, I think it was probably just poor choice on our part. Bar staff were also brilliant and the ambience is lovely. We will back.
very good service
Everything was great but a special mention for your team there, all of them were FANTASTIC & made my wife's & my first night away in 9 years so special..... Thank you all. X
A beautiful property. Lovely staff. Delicious food. Thank you everyone!
Delightful atmosphere; the staff are happy - and it shows. We would suggest, though, a full length mirror in the bedroom. Otherwise superb!
We had a lovely stay all the staff were fantastic and very patient with Sally Sausage’s loud barking! Will definitely return outer room was gorgeous and the food is excellent
We had a lovely stay with you the only sad thing was, it was only one night ! We look forward to returning soon, thought the Sunday lunch deal a very good offer.
We had a lovely two-night stay. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the restaurant.
Fabulous afternoon tea, was a very damp busy weekend but the staff looked after us wonderfully. We ordered full afternoon tea for 4 however it was enough to feed the 5 thousand, loads of scones, jam & cream. The fire was blazing and the wonderful wood smell and atmosphere was wonderful. Cant wait to go back when the weather is better. Many thanks
Our second visit here and just love everything about it, food, drink, service and our room excellent!
A wonderful place to chill with excellent rooms, service and food.
The pricing is far too high. No wake up call or newspaper as requested. No bath in room. Bar fully occupied so not able to go there for drink prior to eating. Should have seating available for residents. Cheese portion was rather small for £12. Could have stayed at Whatley Manor for not much more and a far more memorable experience
Enjoyed a really lovely Sunday lunch here. We chose from a reduced menu which was good value and the food was delicious. We ate early so the restaurant was fairly empty but was filling up as we left, so there would have been more of an atmosphere. Would definitely eat here again if we were in the area.
A happy weekend with teenagers and dog, ambling around Tetbury and being very well looked after by the welcoming Close team. Comfortable rooms, good food and thoughtful service.
Breakfast was terribly disappointing. Pastries and breads were never replenished - so I could not have any, and full English breakfast was dry and overcooked. Other than that, a delight of a stay.
