Visited this restaurant few times and I consistently received good service from the restaurant. Food is always delicious. Thank you to the staff on duty. It was a pleasant surprise to my cousin on providing the birthday cake!
We had a really good time at the Cliff. Our waitress was very lovely, the pizza and pasta that we had ordered was flavourful and just the right size, and as the seats are fairly spaced out, the ambience was pleasant even with larger groups around. I was surprised too by how nice the house white was. Will return
The food tasted good but the serving size was extremely small. We ordered tortelli, ravioli and beef cheek. Usually ravioli is a small portion, but not just 5 pieces. The tortelli was even lesser. You don't want to go to a foodcourt after having eaten at a fancy restaurant. We ordered a pizza to share otherwise the food would definitely not have been enough. The service was kind of shabby as well, the bread was sitting out for the longest time before it reached our table and by the time it did, it was cold and hard. I'll Lido at the golf course had much better service and ambience. Cliff seemed like a usual run off the mill restaurant not I'll Lido which is what we expected. We came here on mother's day and none of us including my mother weren't impressed. Unfortunately won't be coming here again.
We booked for four adults + two children via Chope. For whatever reason (this detail is still clearly visible on the Chope app) the restaurant claimed they had no children on the booking. This meant that they were only able to find one high chair for the two children. This wasn't a huge issue as the girls are 3YO's, so one used cushions and a big chair. However, the restaurant was not at all busy and it was Mothers day so not sure why more high chairs would not be in reserve. Another young mother approached our table to ask that we notify the staff as soon as we were finished with the one high chair they managed to find for us. We arrived at 12.15pm per our booking and were not served food for the set lunch for nearly an hour. It was past 1.10pm when we received the appetizers (we had to ask a number of times for food) which were relatively underwhelming. We then had to ask for the Pasta course to be served which again tool some time to arrive. The food was OK but not great. Apart from that, the carvery was reasonable and the deserts selection was ok. The staff were friendly enough but seemed entirely without leadership or confidence to solve problems. We were charged full price for what was a very poor experience. It is a nice environment but we couldn't recommend others or go there again.
Nice venue. Food and drinks were good. But no effort has been made to give a special attention for a birthday dinner despite a reminder given to the staff. Not sure if I will recommend the restaurant for any special occasion.
Standard of service and food has dropped a lot since my last visit there. Booked dinner there thinking that the standards were the same as before but it was not. Personally I do not think we’ll be going back any time soon.
Presence of mosquitoes thru out the night took away from the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. Enthusiastic wait staff.
Lovely ambience, good service from maître d Valentina, good food but that for price food and table wait staff should be better. I was surprised we had to show ourselves to our table when walking in and no one welcomed us to the restaurant. likely under staffed.
Service was excellent The view was very pleasing. Some of the best food we had in Singapore.
Mosquitoes at the outdoor area.
Service started slowly but improved quickly. Food was great and setting was wonderful. We would recommend and come back.
Only the entree of truffle rice ball was good. The bread on the bruschetta was too chewy & the squid ink pasta was too oily & salty. The saving grace was the excellent service from the waitress, Erika, who was so thoughtful as to get us a slice of cake to surprise us as I was there with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Food was great but serving size surprisingly small, fit only for kids meal, not commensurate to the lofty price. Service leaves much to be desired due to evident staff shortage. Severe lack of attentiveness to customer needs. Much room for improvements.
Beautiful setting and lovely restaurant. We really enjoyed the food and there was a good selection. However, the service was not up to scratch. Whilst friendly, the staff were very slow and we were frequently left with empty glasses and there were long periods where we were waiting for food. We also had to request for things like more bread or water top ups two or three times. It’s a shame because, with improved service, this could be a lovely brunch!
Ambience is superb.
Fabulous lunch and beautiful atmosphere. The staff was really professional and pleasant. The kids also loved the grounds and kept very busy.
Really enjoyed this brunch. Would definitely recommend to a friend and will be back. The guy looking after our group (he didn’t have a name badge) was excellent. He stayed with us during the majority of the time and keep us topped up and got extra portions of popular dishes (the barrata in particular was incredible). The Italian female manager was also very friendly and efficient. It was just a shame that this isn’t more popular and advertised better. We will spread the word and hopefully the atmosphere will pick up. Beautiful views but we did have to relocate inside when the sun was over head, even with the covers. Overall very enjoyable and we will see you again.
Staff were friendly and attentive
Staff attentive & pleasant
Like the new menu and pricing. Customer service is fantastic and reason why we always return is because of the excellent food.
Excited about trying Il Lido at the Cliff following the move from Sentosa Golf Club. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't up to standard for the prices. Amazing location, beautiful setting, all let down by average service (3-4 different servers), wrong order taken, poor presentation of the food and basics like bread coming at the same time as olive oil / balsamic or bringing a menu... And the menu online was totally different to the menu when it arrived, so that was disappointing too. Plenty of opportunity to improve and make the entire experience a 5 star one.
Thanks for welcoming my 2 friends celebrating their birthday at ilLido. And thanks for the birthday wishes, cakes and service rendered. It is nice and we enjoyed our dinning at very cosy and friendly. Thank you
We both loved our evening at IlLido for St Valentine's Day. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. We were surprised to see the setting had changed as we had visited before and really liked the balcony. But we also liked the view from the terrace this time.
