Good food with lovely friendly staff
Fabulous from start to finish Food was amazing
Had a lovely afternoon tea in this lovely venue would highly recommend.
We had a delicious afternoon tea. Food was great, service was first class. Had a great afternoon.
Great food with great service.
The Citizen is my new favourite place to eat in Glasgow. I’ve been coming in for a while just for drinks but I have now eaten here twice in April and I loved it. My husband was impressed yesterday. Thank You !
We had a lovely afternoon tea in fact one of the best, the staff were very attentive and friendly , the restaurant has a pleasant ambience we both enjoyed the day and wouldn’t hesitate in coming back in fact this was my third visit since March we have also enjoyed lunch in the Atlantic restaurant next door
Lovely for a girlie catch up
Outstanding lunch as always. Great food, well presented by excellent staff. Well done!
Fantastic afternoon tea
Gorgeous place. Staff lovely.
We hired the Editors' Suite for a Private Function and were very highly impressed - an elegant room which was well tended by friendly bar and waiting staff. Events staff were also extremely helpful, ensuring everything ran smoothly and to plan. Canapes were delicious and frequently brought out for our guests. Well organised event and the wider restaurant had a great buzz about it. Would definitely recommend!
Food was amazing. The staff were friendly and inviting. The decor is gorgeous, I want to steal it all for my house.
Great food, service and value for money
Fabulous aft tea - best I have had - been several times
Hi, Attended the Citizen on Tuesday the 9th of April with a group of 15 work contemporary colleagues from all over the Uk. The location was excellent and very central to the city. The decor and atmosphere was excellent. Our guests were met and brought ot our gathering in the editors suite and very well looked after indeed. Dinner was excellent with not a complaint over 15 '3'course meals. The service was first class and we were very well looked after by all the staff, including the bar staff as well as the waiting staff. The meal was excellent with plenty of variety in the menu and was very reasonably priced at £24.95 as part of the large group menu. Overall i was very impressed with how we were treated by the Citizen and its staff and would have no hesitation in returning or recommending for either a large work event or dinner for 2. Had a lovely day and evening, staff were fantastic. Food was very good and the surroundings could not uave been better.
Great staff, courteous and very accommodating to our requests..
The presentation of the afternoon tea was beautiful, a nice selection too however not so great for vegetarians with the unimaginative offering of cheese & egg sandwiches as the savoury option. The cream with the scones would have been nicer had it been the traditional clotted cream but that aside the sweet selection was nice. The drinks included latte’s etc and a choice of teas which we enjoyed. During the afternoon there was a separate party in who were hosting a charity event for women’s aid which was good fun & as a great cause one we were happy to donate too and participate in the raffle when invited to by the girls hosting. There was however a sour note when another customer who was at the bar alone and seemed to be well known to staff rudely felt the need to shush us. We were not being loud and we were there as party on our own not as part of the charity event. It was not for him to dictate what we participated in, ironic really a man telling women what to do at a women’s aid fundraiser - slightly disappointing end to a lovely afternoon. The staff were wonderful as was the surroundings and the busy atmosphere of a Saturday afternoon.
There was a large party of women and they were noisy, food and drinks were great but think large parties like that shouldn't seated upstairs
Great place and atmosphere was dab. Food was sensational and service was amazing.
Lovely meal and very efficient staff. Would like to be able to choose starter / main or main / dessert for set price rather thab add on £4.00 for dessert. But lovely setting and menu.
Afternoon tea was fabulous. Really impressed with the quality of the food and cocktails. Cocktails were amazing! Had two of the signature cocktails and they were so different. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was laid back and welcoming. We will definitely be back soon!
Pre theatre menu good choice and food excellent Would highly recommend
