About The Circus Restaurant
Our busy, independent restaurant serves modern European food, from a seasonally changing menu, accompanied by old world wine, in a relaxed atmosphere.
Lovely meal, very pleasant helpful staff, nice ambiance, would go again!
A lovely bistro style restaurant, cosy with friendly staff. Food was excellently presented and of good quality and amount. Ate 3 courses comfortably!
Excellent early evening meal. By far the best gazpacho I have eaten in this country. It was a well balanced blend of flavours with a great texture.
Had a really lovely first visit to Bath for our anniversary and the meal at The Circus was a real treat, excellent service and top quality food..Thank you
Amazing food, lovely polite and prompt service. What more can I say, definitely a highlight of our trip to Bath.
Service was great, relaxed and friendly. Fab menu which some how managed to offer dishes that were familiar but quite different to the norm. The Cauliflower steak is a great dish. Can’t comment on pud as we were full after the first two courses. Can’t go wrong booking here. Enjoy!
A really enjoyable meal for a special occasion
Fantastic food and service in a wonderfully cosy yet airy down stairs dining area. The Goat curry was to die for, while the lamb was tender, pink and so much flavour and the cauliflower steak a real treat. The chocolate desert was rich but light and the Gooseberry Creme Brulee haven in a Rankin. Thank you for making the perfect end to a perfect day.
Wonderful cuisine - perfect ambiance and great service - will definitely visit again
We had a fabulous dining experience at The Circus celebrating our daughter’s graduation from Bath University. Many thanks to your staff who were fantastic, The Circus was perfect choice for a special memorable evening.
Amazing, steak was to die for!
The green gazpacho was so good we asked for the recipe. Really innovative and delicious.
The green gazpacho was far too garlicky; it over powered all of the flavours of the soup. The main course portion was very small and having to pay for a side was poor, given the price of the main. And whilst the chips were very nice, £2.50 for 7 chips (I counted) was extortionate! The sauce served with the fish was too oily. The bread was delicious and was what saved the day for me. Had I not have had 3 slices, I would’ve left the restaurant hungry. Finally, in this day and age, not to serve skimmed milk (or even semi) was astonishing. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be back. Not sure if you want me to leave this review on Trip Advisor?
Girlfriends fish was lovely. I had the goat curry which was too dry and bland Pudding was apricots which were like they came from a tin
We had a great time! Lovely service, excellent food. Menu regularly renewed and ingredients of quality.
Beautiful food as always. Enjoyed our evening very much. Thanks
Absolutely excellent in every way Thank you
Fabulous meal. Lovely wine, great service
Waitress was very helpful and friendly
Delicious food and quiet lovely atmosphere makes for a great evening. Thanks
It was a lovely lunch and lovely settings
We had a delicious meal last night. The service was excellent and it was a very relaxed environment. Highly recommended.
Booked Rez 3 months in advance since we’re visiting from the States with friends. Day of, received email canceling our reservation! Called, using US phone with expense and aggravation, to let restaurant know we hadn’t canceled our Rez. Person answering acted as if we had inconvenienced her. Food excellent and service good, but the reservation experience really lessened our enjoyment significantly, particularly as we were made to feel we were the difficult ones. Too many other great restaurants in this town to recommend this one.
Thoroughly enjoyable evening.Fantastic food. Highly recommended!
