About The Chilli Pickle Brighton
Nationally-acclaimed regional Indian restaurant in the heart of Brighton. Passionate about Indian culture, local produce and traditional methods.
Still my favourite place to eat and a treat to be able to enjoy the Sunday lunch menu which is amazing.
An exquisite set of meal dishes that were enjoyed by every one of our group. Thanks for making it an evening to remember, helped in no small way by the friendliness of the staff. Sincerely appreciated. Looking forward already to the next visit.
We had a birthday lunch at the Chilli Pickle and everyone in our family loved it. My husband and I were, as always, delighted with our mains (Paneer and Sri Lankan sea bass). Our girls (7 and 10) are normally not big eaters but gobbled up the chicken curry; the popping candy / ice cream pudding is a firm favourite too!
Awesome as always
Excellent and innovative food and attentive service.
While I’m local and know the Chilli Pickle, my friend came down from London and was new to Brighton. He absolutely loved the place, food, service, ambience, the whole thing was great.
My first visit but absolutely loved it and will be back.
Food was delicious. Menu was different to our previous visit but tried new things which were fantastic. The only minor negative was our server who forgot our drinks order and left a dish behind when bringing food out. Will definitely be back as the food is great.
We were blown away by the great blend of tastes and textures. The staff were very professional with good knowledge of what was in each dish, which area it was from and suggestions of how to eat certain dishes.
Food was great. We were seriously disappointed by our espressos, however, which were watery and not a patch on what we could have got in the nearby Small Batch.
Having booked dinner on the day of Diwali I was disappointed that no effort had been made to celebrate this Indian festival. We were offered two small peices of Indian sweets with the bill. For a restaurant that aims at having an authentic Indian flavour and feel, the lack of effort in celebrating the most important Indian festival is difficult to comprehend. The food was excellent as always.
Cocktail menu has a cocktail that the waitress informed us hasn't been available for months. Also there were cocktails on dessert menu not on drinks menu. The old menu with cocktails in it was better.
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. Best curry I think i've ever had. Fantastic value for money.
Great food. allergy aware.
Waitress could of been happier. But left my bag behind and the greeting staff could not have been more helpful. Only one toilet had any toilet paper in it.
Food always good, service is good/fair.. no side plates given for popadom(had to ask) No explanation of king Thalia sides.. but as regular customers we can forgive this, but consistency is so important ...
Great evening spent with friends . Food tasty and interesting with excellent service .
Service was slow for ordering but it was very busy. Worth the wait!
Really bad service unfortunately, had to wait over 20 mins on arrival and then ask ourselves if we can order drinks and again for re-order. Despite pre ordering food still took an hour for starters. Such a shame as if service better whol evening would’ve been fab
Best restaurant in Brighton! The food has to be tasted to be believed.
Having visited the restaurant quite a few times the service was not to usual standards- I took 1/2 hour to get one of my guests a glass of wine. It seemed unorganised. Our waitress was very nice but I think too many tables to wait and after we’d eaten no one cleared our table. Quite a few people we knew there said they’d waited an hour good food and I noticed customers waiting to be seated for ages. Just a bit shambollic I thought, which is a shame as normally so good. Food was excellent.
Love the food, great atmosphere, let down again by the service.
Amazing food, great and friendly service
food was even better than I had remembered it ! only 4 stars for atmosphere as it was rather quiet on a weekday lunchtime.
One member of our for person party felt the samosa chat was not authentic in its flavours, lacking in tamerand sauce, when comparing to a bench mark like Diwana in Euston London. Everyone felt the Naan was really good and the three others members of the party had he mixed grill and enjoyed the flavours very much and the quality of the meet.
