About The Chilli Pickle Brighton
Nationally-acclaimed regional Indian restaurant in the heart of Brighton. Passionate about Indian culture, local produce and traditional methods.
We had a great time, again!
Service was excellent until I wanted to pay the bill when I had to wait an unacceptable length of time, not because the restaurant was mega busy but because I was simply unable to catch someone's eye, even after I'd been presented with the bill.
I’d been waiting to go hear for a few years after seeing the chefs story on a tv show. I was already sold on the place. I diverted us here after a day at the seaside. The paneer tandoori starter was lovely, so was the prawn one which name escapes me the sauces with it were excellent. My wife had the whole black bream which was disappointing, no flavour added to the rice and the mango sauce didn’t do much for the fish. I had the lamb shank which was delicious, nice level of spice and well cooked. Garlic naan was good but it should be I guess. Buuut it was £75 with one lemonade and one small fizzy water. That’s far too much. Even in London we can both eat well for about half that. Go try it if you are local.
Been coming here for years . Excellent food and service . Fresh produce and great dishes always served.
A great evening of fine Indian food & attentive service, our guests were very complimentary on their first visit and we will look forward to returning soon,
Great atmosphere - very buzzy. Waiting staff all very efficient. Starters delicious. Mains good but beware the fried chilies - they are VERY hot!
Always a lovely meal
Excellent service, great atmosphere as always
A really great evening with excellent, friendly service and exceptional food quality. Very good value for money
I’ve visited this restaurant a number of times and have never been disappointed with the food or the service. The menu is deliciously different from the more traditional Indian restaurants. The food is always beautifully cooked and presented. The staff are courteous and attentive and appear to have a good knowledge of the food in the restaurant. The restaurant provides a bubble, lively atmosphere in which to enjoy your meal.
Great food, would definitely recommend a visit.
For my money Chilli Pickle still does the best Indian food in Sussex - and probably some way beyond.
We took our visiting family, including 3 young children, to the Chilli Pickle on a sunday lunchtime and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal and the restaurant. All the staff were very friendly and the service was outstanding.
Still one of our very best restaurants in Brighton. We have now moved away. We flew in, in the morning and were sitting having one of my best curries ever by lunchtime!
Delicious food, not the quickest service but I think that's because there were a few big tables in at once!
Thank you so much for a lovely evening. When I arrived to set up the table I was asked a few times if I needed any help setting up and if they could put the cake in the fridge. Super helpful and accommodating. I booked for 10, and sadly I had a couple of no shows but this was not a problem to the restaurant. I will be coming back soon with more friends. Would definitely recommend.
We stayed way longer than is acceptable (because we were having such a good time) and were not even spending a huge amount, but the staff never made us uncomfortable, and were very sweet & diplomatic when it was finally (beyond!) time to turn our table around. Thank you for a delicious late long lunch!
Amazing as always, it’s now my favourite restaurant in Brighton!
Food was disappointing & didn’t live up to expectations. Lamb shank was lacking any flavour. Popodoms had been cooked in advance so weren’t crisp.
Great food, service was great and child friendly too. Would 100% go back again and recommend to a friend. Xxx
The music was so banging and loud found it hard to have a conversation.
Super, friendly and efficient services and the most delicious food. I shall be back.
I haven't been for a long time and you've changed the menu and the way the dishes are presented. I actually preferred it before. The food was very good though and the service was faultless. The wine (Malbec) was terrific.
Food was excellent. Something a bit different from the usual Indian food. Service was great.
