About The Chamberlayne Pub
When the Chamberlayne first opened its doors back in 2007 our aim was to bring quality seasonal regional menus to Kensal Rise. Since then, The Chamberlayne has established a reputation for being the pioneering gastro pub of the area – with excellent food, service and atmosphere. This local institution has set the standard for food and drink - famed for it’s Millers of Speyside Angus Aberdeen 28 day dry aged beef, the selection of cuts from cote de beouf and Chateaubriand to ribeye, sirloin and other favourites ensure that the pub lives up to it’s ‘Steakhouse’ name. Aside from our excellent sourcing of the best meat we extend this passion to our other dishes with seasonal delicious menus developed by chef Andrew Fila and his team. Our recent refurbishment has revitalised the dining room and terrace, whilst retaining the warm friendly pub that has it’s trademark and reputation for excellent food within a relaxed informal environment. Wines, spirits and cocktails also play an important role in our selected offer and we seek to reward the drinker with an ever changing wine list; old world focused, beers ranging from established to craft and great cocktails! Warm and friendly service is what we specialise in. We can also cater for a variety of events and can offer canapés for private parties or big Sunday lunch family tables.
Great service, food and wine.
Not enough plant based/vegan choices. Menu needs to be updated more regularly. Same choices month after month.
Popped into The Chamberlyn having been in the area and wanting to find a local steakhouse. I had the chicken liver pate to start and my friend had the truffle soup, both were really tasty, nicely seasoned and presented. The porterhouse steak was huge and plenty for two big appetites, very tender and well cooked, with lovely sauces and side dishes. I read some reviews suggesting the portion sizes were small for the price, but I can't see how anyone could possibly leave feeling underfed! The service was attentive and helpful. It was a quiet evening so the atmosphere was slightly lacking, but overall it was a lovely evening. If this was local I would definitely be a regular. Thank you for a lovely evening to the staff and chefs!
Amazing food. Brilliant vegetarian nut roast. Great staff - friendly, courteous and enthusiastic and of course one of the best pubs around. Don’t hesitate - just go
Always good service from charming and friendly staff. Food solid and consistent
Lovely food Kind and caring staff But very slow service- waited 40 minutes for our food
Always enjoy the Chamberlayne
Very friendly, lovely meal and my little puppy was welcome too.
An excellent pre-Christmas lunch. Superb Chicken Liver Pate and the best Duck Ragu I have had this side of the channel. The Chamberlayne is in great form at the moment.
Great food and excellent service
Very good, thank you
Lovely lunch on Saturday! The only slight hiccup was the blue cheese gnocchi which my daughter didn't enjoy at all The colour alone was a bit off-putting. The fish and chips, fish pie and the delicious salad with goat's cheese were fine. Wonderful puds! Thanks
We had a wonderful evening and most of it went well. The only issue would be that perhaps all the service people to be a bit more observant. Out of the three people we had, two were an absolute pleasure, however the other person almost seemed to not want to serve us. We shall return as we really enjoyed it, just attention to detail always a plus. Many thanks. And wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New year 2020.
Perfect as usual, my family and I go each week. Food is second to none, staff are brilliant and so accommodating.
Bit disappointing. Forgot my guest’s cauliflower cheese and I couldn’t get a 125ml glass of wine which is contrary to weights & measures legislation. Annoying. Also pretty pricey by the end - more than a two course recent alc meal in The City.
I am a regular at Chambers and the Sunday roast has been my fave over the years by far. Better than any of the other local pubs but sadly I've been disappointed the last couple of times I have been in. The beef was virtually uncooked and very fatty, the potatoes were hard and seemed to be reheated yesterday when I went. The last time I went the roast chicken was more bone than chicken and the cauliflower cheese was watery and tasteless. Have you changed the chef? I love going for a Sunday roast and have always recommended the Chamberlayne but I think having been disappointed twice in a row of late, I probably won't risk it a their time.
I love this restaurant. The atmosphere, food and service never disappoint!
The staff were great on Friday eve - friendly, fun, attentive when necessary & didn’t turn into bouncers at closing up time. They were all just decent food humoured people throughout which is rare in London theses days. We had an excellent eve enjoying the steak, pies & drinks. Thanks again Friday’s Chamberlayne staff.
A little chilly! Nice food and service.
Need more staff on. Always the same on a sunday.
Lovely lovely staff, really helpful. Sat us on the terrace as requested which was nice, there was no faffing around. I had a nut roast and it was very well seasoned, as was the veg. Was very delicious. My sister is vegan and had a salad and she enjoyed it, filled her right up! She said she had never considered a warm salad and enjoyed. My mum had the pork belly and loved it, great portion. The sticky toffee pudding with ginger ice cream was seriously good. Would defo recommend and as a local I will defo be back!
The menu looked good and the food was fine but a bit bland. The quinoa could have done with some flavour- maybe some herbs??
Really good food with friendly service
Best Sunday Roast in West London. That is all. Thanks guys
Staff just excellent, both at bar and in restaurant!
