About The Cedar Rooms
The Cedar Rooms Restaurant " Dining Experience"
Is located within an old estate stone building, these rooms were historically lived in by the Estate Managers who looked after the extensive forestry and acres of land over its 400-year history.
One of our oldest trees on the estate, is the magnificent Cedar of Lebanon tree planted on Farnham Lawn and is circa 300 years old.
Food could be warmer. Excellent service. Slightly odd atmosphere.
Excellent food and experience, would highly recommend!
Service was very friendly and professional. The waitress was very attentive and the food was perfect.
Excellent food first class
We didn’t enjoy the meal, thought the portions were tiny and the food wasn’t great ,
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The food and service was fantastic. We can't wait to dine here again!
Great place for a great relaxing meal , The food in the cedar room is top Notch , real joy for the pallet , *****
My husband and myself really enjoyed our meals in the Cedar Rooms Restaurant on Tuesday 12th and Wed 13th February We were given a very warm welcome when we arrived on both nights by the Manager Leanne who was always there if we needed anything. Our main waitress on both evenings was Emma who was very friendly, calm and helpful. She ensured that we were happy at all times with our meal. The food was delicious, thanks to the Chef and her staff. The ambience was very relaxed and comfortable. All of these combined made our dining experiences on both nights in the Cedar Rooms Restaurant very memorable. We would highly recommend it to our friends.
Some courses were missing elements. As the night continued, service began to be rushed, we had just finished dinner and straight away had the dessert menu. The scallops and chateaubriand were delicious, the accompiants were luke warm for both. The pancotta was so not good, no wobble and the cheese board was missing one cheese. Waitress was very friendly but the service was rushed which takes away from the pleasure in eating out. Overall would not return as price was too much for overall experience and quality.
First class fine dining. Not pretentious. Staff were polite, attentive and welcoming. Worth every penny.
I work in hospitality so if there changes to the menu would it not be better reprinting them instead of allowing us to sit with them for a period of time then explain the changes
SO fab. Food was amazing. Gave us prosecco for Adams birthday. Delicious wine. Really nice staff
Wonderful dining experience in elegant surroundings. Food was first class.
the food was amazing. Well presented and the staff were very attentive. Would definitely go again
Service was friendly enough but once we had received tea and coffee at the end it took us 35 minutes to get the bill which was a disappointing end to a lovely meal.
Staff really good and pleasant. Thought where we were sitting was a bit like a corridor and didn’t don’t like it. Food very good.
Meal was one of the best we’ve ever had, highly recommend!!
Great time all round
We had a beautiful meal on Monday night in the Cedar room. The service was excellent, friendly, informative regarding wines and menu. Pre cocktail before dinner the sitting area before being brought into the restaurant area. The scallops were fabulous and the halibut cooked to perfection. I was worried that there would be no atmosphere on a Monday night but I need not have worried the restaurant had a steady flow of couples for dinner. We didn’t feel rushed, good up selling by staff without being pushy. We will be back.
We had a wonderful experience , food was delicious, setting was very comfortable and staff were friendly and professional. I would recommend this restaurant.
Perfect if you want a special treat
Would recommend. Service first class and the attention to detail was to be admired. Thank you for making our stay an enjoyable one
Lovely resturant, comfortable, elegant, amazing service, friendly and super efficient but the food, though fine dining and absolutely delicious, portion size is a tiny bit too small for me.
We would have thought that all those lovely Irish Boys and Girls in Reservations and both Dining Rooms deserve a uniform more in keeping with the standard of the hotel.
This was our first visit to the Cedar Rooms and I would highly recommend them. I love to watch Masterchef and I felt the Food we were served would have pleased any Michelin starred chef at the chefs table. Staff were very attentive without being pushy.
