The Cauldron is coming to NYC due to high demand and the necessity to add a touch of British branded magic to American shores.
About The Cauldron
The Cauldron is the magical cocktail making experience that took London by storm with over 15,000 wannabe Witches and Wizards joining us for potions and elixirs in just five months!
Amazing experience! Had such a great time mixing positions and making delicious drinks! The exclusiveness being a pop up bar just added to the wow of it all! Even got to take home my own wand for more spellbinding fun!
So much fun mixing cocktails and playing with our wands! Definitely a cool experience.
It was such a great experience but we hated the drinks. But our potions master was so great and switch out our drinks for beers. I would completely do it again if the drinks were better because I was so enchanted by the whole experience.
Great Atmosphere & staff were lovely but there was not enough. One staff member between three tables makes the experience less involving and can sometimes mean long waits. The drinks were also pretty bad, taste wise. As it was a gift for my wife's birthday I was dissapointed that we couldn't drink one cocktail between us. Really wanted to love this place but there is certainly room for improvement.
the staff is great! just wish we had more time to order drinks at the end. or maybe just a bar only component so people can come back!
great idea, but very disorganized. Could have been exececuted better. Potions were disgusting! should have choice of gin or vodka.
My friends and I loved the atmosphere! The service was great and the music was perfect for the theme. Making our potions was such a fun experience. Although my friends didn’t enjoy the lavender drink too much but I enjoyed all the potions.
The staff were so much fun. They really helped make the experience come to life and made sure we had a wonderful time.
Although this is a unique place and what you pay for is this experience, I do not feel the price was worth it. First, they stress to show up on time, yet I was waiting on a staircase for 20 minutes to be seated. When seated, I felt as if I was sitting on top of people. Mind you my boyfriend has a large frame and they sat us in a corner with people behind and in front of us. Besides this, I feel the service was rushed. The lavender drink was sickening. They should give an option for drinks to make at the beginning, because I was unable to drink that drink because it was so potently disgusting. The lighting was too bright for what a cauldron is expected to be. Finally, they didn't have robes for all sizes and my boyfriend had to wear a cape. He looked like a vampire not a wizard at Hogwarts. Oh! One other thing....the receipt I recieved from the place at the end was lower than what I paid for online.
We were not told we had to bring the wand back to the hostess stand, and ended up leaving our credit card there. When we went to retrieve it, the hostess (not the same woman who took the card) was very rude. Everything else was fantastic though. Great overall experience.
Dedicated staff giving an incredible experience
Very cool experience . Drinks are very sweet not what I prefer.
I had a wonderful time at the Cauldron Experience. All of the potion masters were wonderful and seemed to be having a good time as well.
our sever gave us the fire and bubble cocktail menu towards the end of our time and came back around 5 minutes later to tell us the bar was closed and we couldnt order a final drink. he never even gave us a chance to place an order, so that was odd / a bummer.
$60/person for 3 drinks that aren't that magical- the first just being poured straight from a keg, the second changing color, and the third got a little smokey. When the "potion's master" announced that we would then be making flaming and bubbling drinks, I thought it finally seemed worth the money- but he dropped down a menu to order them for $12/each. I was willing to order, but he wasn't fast enough to take our orders and instead worked slowly at each table. We saw the table before us order some flaming drinks, and they weren't that great of drinks- so we politely declined once he finally made it to us. He held my credit card even though it is a prepaid purchase, which I had to wait forever to get back. I was then dropped a check showing my previous payment of $89 (even though I actually paid $123 in advance). He then began demanding 22% gratuity when we poured our own drinks, and it was already a hefty payment I had made for the mediocre bar experience. For the amount of money they are charging, I found it ridiculous they couldn't pay their staff a real wage, since it was a performance enhanced experience and not a real bar. I wish I had just seen a broadway show. All in all, it has lots of potential but was a big fail. It's clearly a money making scheme off of a popular fantasy novel, that ended up having no correlation with it to begin with.
The Cauldron was a great experience, but I do wish we all had our own wands. Additionally, the "potions" were not to my liking and I wish they were not as "out there" so I could have enjoyed them. Overall a great experience.
Great vibe. Loved that the staff kept the story going even when random questions/issues arose. They never broke character.
Adding an advanced level, more challenging!
The staff seemed to hate being there. Also I went with a bigger group and had to keep asking for materials because the experience seems to more gaged for couples
Thanks for a whimsical experience
Had a great time here with my girlfriend! The Cauldron experience only provides drinks so highly recommend checking out surrounding bars for some food beforehand.
It was a very fun experience! The servers stayed in character and were entertaining. The drinks werent bad either (some were a bit too strong for me). But I would def recommend eating before hand. I only wish though that they spread the drink making further apart.
Loved the environment and enthusiasm of the staff. Drinks were tasty!
