The Cauldron is coming to NYC due to high demand and the necessity to add a touch of British branded magic to American shores.
About The Cauldron
The Cauldron is the magical cocktail making experience that took London by storm with over 15,000 wannabe Witches and Wizards joining us for potions and elixirs in just five months!
We had a great time at the Cauldron, it is a great activity for friends or a date night. What i didn't like is feeling rushed, My reservation was for 10pm and the email said I had 1:45hr to stay in the place, but by 10:40pm we were told we were already late to make our second and final drink, during the second drink we were basically told not to read the instructions but to just put the liquids in one container and the dry stuff in another. We made the drink in no time and by 11:10pm we were leaving the place. Not fun when you are paying for the experience. When we left we noticed other tables we couldn't see during our experience were just starting their class, we assumed we were placed in the wrong section since they were already cleaning it (we probably were the last table for a given time frame). Oh well, overall great time, but please stop rushing people.
Love this place!
We informed our server that the light up machine was not working and her response was to say we were “cursed” instead of offering to bring another one out or trying to fix it. Both drinks we made did not have the effects that our friends across from us had and the server could not have been less attentive or willing to help. We paid for an experience and did not receive what was advertised. Overall, very disappointing.
I love the experience. It was so fun
Really nice atmosphere, if only the drinks that you’re going to make would be enjoyable. The welcome drink was the only one that was somehow drinkable. The others were just not right. Also some of the kits were incomplete. In one ingredient we found a fly. The utensils also don’t really seem to be cleaned properly. The guy who was responsible for our class seemed to put some effort in at the beginning but it quickly faded. It was a really fun experience but for that price point you’d expect everything to be on point.
Current menu does not reflect available options. Company should update. Otherwise, GREAT EXPERIENCE! Would go back!
We were a party of three and two of us did not get our robes despite asking for them at least twice with different people and being assured that they would get us some. Wearing the robes is one part of the full experience and we were deprived of it with no explanation as to why so overall, it detracts from an otherwise very positive experience.
we absolutely loved it!
I went with my boyfriend for his birthday. He loved everything about this place!!!
The robes were too small and i am not chubby by any means. The unicorn initial drink was not working. One of the 4 potions we pick also was not available (the one with tequila). The drinks were all very sugary.
It was a great experience, however in the end they charged 18% has a table. We were two different parties so that got confusing.
We felt rushed. The cocktail kits were missing items and it added to the stress of creating and chugging down the 2 cocktails we make. The rush takes away from the experience as we didn't get to enjoy the welcome cocktail.
Went to the Cauldron and did the potion's class for a friend's birthday this weekend. The atmosphere of the bar was great and the drinks we made in the potions class were delicious. Unfortunately we felt a bit rushed throughout the experience; even after arriving on time and working diligently through the steps to make the potions we were told by the potions masters that we were running behind. Our tickets cost over $60 each which did not include gratuity (we were presented with an additional tab at the end for gratuity). To me, the experience was a bit overpriced considering that we mixed our own drinks and then were not able to enjoy them at our own pace.
I generally loved my experience. I understand the restaurant and bar are separate, but it would have been nice to have more snack/appetizer options with the potions class.
Our potion-master (I can’t remember his name unfortunately but he had an excellently curly mustache) was the BEST. Extremely enthusiastic, helpful, energetic and kind. 100% added to the atmosphere and gave us the best time! Thank you so much!
I would love to rate this place 5 stars in everything, but the service was very odd to say the least. That’s putting it in nice words. The staff in the restaurant and bar was pretty friendly and helpful, but the potions class staff was awful and rude. We ate at the restaurant prior to the potions class and the food was delicious, our server was great. We went to the class from 2 to 3:45. They started out friendly and in character but their mood quickly changed once we asked about their tipping system. We were done with our 3 cocktails and ordered a round of 4 more different cocktails. Our bill came out to $47 not including the potions class, but the tip they added was $43. I asked a simple question about why it was so high the tip and I got a snarky and very rude response. They wanted us to pay $91 for 4 extra cocktails and tip... TF no way was I paying that. So when she brought the bill back it was $47 and the 25% tip was $11, guess what we left them $20 because we’re not assholes. Aside from spending at the potions class we went to the bar and spent LOTS of money there. We loved the tree of life and the drinks were pretty good. So all in all we had a good experience but the workers need some classes in costumer service. For a group of 4 people who spent over $500 in that place we should have been treated a little better.
Loved the experience. Our waitress was in character and the wands and cloaks really made the experience even better!
Such a wonderful experience I would definitely come here again! Very interactive !
A Drink option were already unavailable when we arrived at 6pm. The bottles could be labeled especially if the ingredients are as awesome as troll bogies. Saves time waiting on our potion master (whom was awesome and patient) to come back. An option to have dinner at the bar could be made available especially if we already dropped over 100 bucks.
No Name & the rest of the staff were excellent, and the drinks were as delicious as they were exciting to make!
our potions master olivier was the best! he was very friendly, funny, and overall we felt very lucky to have him!
Bar wasn't adequately stocked, certain menu items weren't available, or had to be made on the spot when they were supposed to be prepared. For some reason they were playing Taylor Swift in the bar? Really ruins the atmosphere. Server was very clearly frustrated by the lack of attention to detail the bar staff were showing and that really showed in the Potion Making Class.
Service was not good. They ran out of owl pellets halfway through the evening.
